Thanks for keeping it real. Mous is smokin’ something trying to sell this garbage for $75. They permanently lost me as a customer.
You're so wrong pal it ain't garbage. Apart from the button I have exactly same case for my iPhone 14 Pro once it came out. Dropped it a few times but it hardly shows any signs of it. After over two years it holds up very well still looks as I just got it and I'm loving all about it, the design and the grip too. I'm good with the button too as long as it's working good and I heard it is.
@pan3x The Limitless 4 and 5 were pretty good cases. This new one, not so much. Less protection (they removed most of the TPE lining), softer sides, and a $.99 button from AliExpress that falls out when you remove the case. No comparison to the old models really.
@@pan3x💩🥱
@@pan3xit’s garbage and not worth $75 when the button costs 99 cents
@@pan3x The Limitless 4 and 5 were pretty good cases. This new one not so much. They stripped out most of the TPE, the sides are much more flexible, and now they’re using a $0.99 AliExpress cc button that falls out. They need to do much better at their premium prices.
Mous does not have the button on the european website
I may be in the minority but my Limitless 6.0 w/ Camera Control arrived a few days ago and I like it a lot. I don't switch up cases too often so as long as the camera control button works well and doesn't come out when the phone is in the case, its fine for me.
There are two very subtle (random?) things I love about the case. The first is the material to protect the camera lenses. Some other cases use metal or a very hard plastic. With those cases, when I would put my phone down on the nightstand, it was loud, and I had to set it down so gently because I was actually afraid it would wake up my wife. But with Mous, the material is a little softer and has a tiny bit of flex, so for some reason, it is SO much quieter putting the phone down. A very minor thing but noticeable and important to me.
The second thing I love are the buttons. My action button is set to toggle the flashlight on and off. With some other cases, the action button and volume up button feel identical to my finger because the buttons on the case are the same shape. Listening to a podcast at night on low volume, I accidentally long-pressed the volume up button instead of long-pressing the action button to turn the flashlight on. This blasted my podcast on full volume and woke up my daughter. With the Mous case, the action button feels totally different than the volume up button because of difference in size and orientation. Now, I don't accidentally press the volume up button instead of the action button, or vice versa.
Two pretty trivial things, but important enough to me to keep the Mous case on my phone. I live in rural Kenya where there is no Apple store within 5,000+ miles, so my biggest draw to Mous is their drop protection and durability. However, my biggest concern now is if the drop protection will be negatively effected by the looser fit of this case. I will say, though, that my case doesn't seem as loose on my 16 Pro than it does on your phone in the video. Maybe I got lucky. Either way, not a concern I enjoy having after spending $60 on a Mous case (I used a 20% off code).
Thanks for the killer reviews!
I'm looking forward to get my now, I love the premium quality of my Mouse for 14 Pro
@@pan3x For what its worth, I think this case feels very premium in hand. I upgraded from a Mous Limitless 4.0 on my iPhone 13 Mini to this Mous Limitless 6.0 w/ Camera Control on my 16 Pro. The new case has grippier sides and feels better overall than my last one. It also makes my phone feel slim, and is very comfortable to hold. If the fit was a tiny bit tighter like on my previous Mous case, it'd be perfect for me.
Do you think Otterbox will revise the Defender model with a version that provides more complete coverage of the camera control button? I've used otterbox defender cases on all of my previous iphones. After purchasing a defender for my iphone 16, I am nervous about the lack of protection over the ccb on the screen side of the phone.
Not 100% sure. I think the case might be too thick for a proper touch responsive button to work
I didnt think it was possible for a brand to create a case thats less worth it than the original silicone apple case 🤦♂️
I'm brutal on my phones, not intentionally, just clumsy. Mous and Otterbox have protected my phones for years. I'm 62 currently so yes, years, meaning since the first iphone. So as much as I would like a quality camera button, I can't sacrifice drop protection by getting a cheaper case.
Try the phone rebel gen 6
Thanks for your honest review.
I feel really robbed by companies not producing a complete case (no, any version of a cutout is not a complete case), charging normal price and not providing an updated version before Christmas. So they just sell out these crappy cases and then after Christmas they will act like “oh we have a button for you now”.
I’m so sad apple does not sell leather cases anymore because I would 100% instantly buy one.
Lots of excellent other leather cases out there. Best leather case right now is the Bullstrap contemporary. It’s excellent. It has a cutout but I’m ok with that
I'm a buy this case as I'm loving my Mous aramid case for my iPhone 14 Pro. Doesn't matter the button price as long as it's working just fine and from other reviews I can learn that it actually is. If it's removable? If I break it I'll slap a new one. For me it's all good as long as it doesn't get out with the phone in and again I haven't heard a single complain, have you? Besides I only take my phone out of the case a few times a year tops only if I get caught in the rain and wet my device after all it's to keep my phone protected. The button ain't gold and it's a simple tech - electronics are cheap especially when buying in bulk and it doesn't mean it's a poor quality. If you want a wrist lanyard you have the option and I have one, not using it to have it on my neck tho. So why all the negativity here? Don't get it. It's a premium case and it's totally worth the $50 cos you have the 20% of deal.
I’m thankful I got it 20% off. I wish I could hate on the case but I enjoy it so far. Granted I haven’t taken it off since receiving it. Fit seems pretty tight for me and the cc button does the job. I didn’t notice the grip thing til you mentioned it. Yea they should’ve put some above the cc button under the power button
It’s a step in the right direction, but several changes still need to be made for them to be worth over $30 again.
What is the 18 dollar case ?
Tineeowl
Love my limitless 5.0 from my iPhone 14 but I got the dreaded stretching and loosening by the volume buttons after 7 months otherwise the case is perfect. But there's something about the material. Paid $91 CDN on Amazon
Thanks a lot man for being raw and brutal unlike some other reviewers whose name start's with T&T! You are doing great job for the consumers and fcuk the corporations and youtubers who like to sponsor videos and get paid review done just for sake of it.
That’s crazy. I agree with you damn shame.
I just got this case and it’s not great. The camera button arrives scratched and doesn’t even work for me. I hate that it falls out so easily if you change the case. The sides are not as rigid as past cases, particularly around the area of the camera control button. And yeah the missing grips…WTF?? I’ve requested a refund/return. Not worth the money. Spigen and Supcase are the winners this year. Both make FANTASTIC cases.
(Also I use the lanyard loops all the time. I will only get cases that have lanyard loops. So someone does use them!)
Haha well then I stand corrected. I guess someone does use it 😀
There’s no way I would pay $75 for this case, despite them putting a button.
Appreciate your review and thoughts on the new Mous cases. The first were disappointing because of no camera control. I was on the fence as to whether or not I'd buy the updated version. Not happening now. This is absolute junk. So many cases are better than this. All they needed to do was provide a frame around the button and it would be better than the initial release of the Limitless. Think Caudabe Sheath. That would've been fine. For $70+, I expect perfection. I'll rotate through my Caudabe, Apple Silicone, original Limtless, Torras and Spigen. Not buying another Mous case until they actually improve this. Also very disappointed in Mous that they didn't even offer early adopters a discounted price on an updated case, though I'm not sure I'd want it now. Looks like total junk. The first version is far superior.
Imo the cc button was made for a niche part of iPhone users to begin with. Not to excuse any company making a low-quality product for mad bread, but the whole button concept was dumb😂 main reason im holding on to my 15PM
To be honest I don’t think many people even use it. When holding the phone in portrait mode, it’s too low. When in landscape mode, it’s too far in. It’s more of a nuisance than anything.
@@Brians_tech im sure Apple has put in place that case manufactures have to make some sort of button/cutout to make sure the button is accessible, but I wish there were cases that just had it covered for the people who want the phone, but could care less about that trash gimmick🤣
Having tried to use the CC button for the first time yesterday (I rarely take pictures), I immediately went "well this is stupid" and went back to the normal controls. It's in a weird spot, the controls are finicky, and it's still just easier to use the volume up/touch screen to take the picture.
I bought two of the original 6.0 cases with the ugly cut out. Yeah, I like the cases but not the cut out and I will not be upgrading to this one. 50 bucks should be the Max for quality cases. Remember it’s just a case. I think companies are taking the piss.
i got an amazone special 15$ with full lenses integrated protection and same small cut for that dumb useless camera button. tbh id get a case where it cover it completly.
And to think I was seriously thinking of buying this case……never mind now I mean I like the case don’t get me wrong but they should have thought building it in
99 cent Aliexpress button, No side grips = No Buy Fantastic Video !
Thank you!
u still have the left side grip u m-ron, the right one is taken buy the cc button. ua-cam.com/video/X4HHOzs4JV4/v-deo.htmlsi=3WtPaAAwZwyOm73t
Wait until everyone finds out what UAG charges and doesn’t have a camera button. The case is fine. Drop the phone off a roof with the 18.00 case compared to Mous and see if 75.00 was worth it
I'm a big Mous fan, but NOT buying this time around and especially not at $75
Ordures
That’s trash in French.
😂
I bought this also and am sending it back as I type this. Needs a fixed button for me
$75 for this case with its camera button not sticking together with the case
And also only one side grip on the left 🫢🫢
