Beautiful Omar, the American dream is to better yourself but never forget about your family. God blesses those who Alway remember where they came from. I was born in Honduras raises in New York, My fiancée is Filipinas, so I somehow feel a strong connection with the Philippines. Right now, she is going to school to become a caretaker who know maybe a nurse in the future. We are in transition with our paperwork, so our situation is a bit different. I find it fascinating that the majority of people there want to come here when I actually want to retire in the Philippines someday. Sorry but your country is gorgeous. Don't get me wrong America is the land of opportunity, but I been through a lot especially as a Spanish man. My best advice is work hard and stay focus on your dreams. Congrats!

Congratulations on your journey as nurse. I'm a Nurse too worked for 1 year in private hospital but I resigned due to toxic culture in hospitals especially in the Philippines so I decided to changed career path and eventually landed a job in a local bank then later with a well known international bank that led me to a management position in the US particularly New York. I also dreamed of working in Big Apple since I was elementary after watching home alone movies. I was able to achieve it but my pathway is not a a Nurse but as a banker.

Ang galing! Sa Shearwater ka din pala? Anak ko sa Shearwater din at nasa Florida U.S.A. Kasama mga anak at manugang ko na nurse din. Next year matatApos na ang contract nya. 2times na din akong naka visit sa kanila.

SO OUR NEW LIFE IN US WAS WONDERFUL, BECAUSE WE WERE LOTS OF FILIPINO NURSES IN OUR HOSPITAL AND MOST OF US WERE FRIENDS , CLASSMATES AND COWORKERS BACK IN THE PHILIPPINES. For those who do not know that the real American dream is to be able to live and reside in the State of Hawaii. THERE IS NO ONE in the mainland US who did not wish to at least get to Hawaii, not everyone can since its the most expensive state!
All of these people who don’t know US they thought the American dream is to be able reach cities in the 48 contiguous states but wrong! If u live most of your life in the US, u would wish to be able to afford the state of paradise.

Best of luck. Advice ko lang is to stay grounded and pick your friends for your own good. Many acquaintances, but, very difficult to find real friends. Do not develop the attitude that many of our newly arrived kababayans fall into. Do not fall into the trap of trying be like the Joneses. Work hard, save and invest any extras you may have. Help your family, however, you still have to think about your future. Always find time to rest, because, when you get sick, you'd have to take care of yourself. Be wary of your surroundings. BTW, Get good foul weather clothing. It gets cold where you are heading

LIfe will not be easy here in the States. But the rewards later will be very fulfilling. Not everyone is successful though. Just keep your eyes on the prize. And avoid toxic Pinoys. Avoid chismisan. Be self reliant.

Mag success talaga sa US kung masipag at madiskarte. Basta lagi tandaan ang reason kung bakit nag ibang bansa. Madami kasi d2 sa US na nakapag trabaho d2 tapos kumita ng malaki pero pay check to paycheck parin kasi nag increase nga yung salary, nag increase din naman ung mga spendings specially sa mga bagay na hindi naman kailangan.

Since I keep on procrastinating and natakot mgbalik loob sa nursing. Lahat ng experience nasa bpo but I won't stop until makarating ako dyan sa US at makapag work as a US registered nurse. Hi Jemark, thanks for watching my vlog and I’m glad po na nainspire po kayo na bumalik sa nursing. Before I worked in Singapore po, I had 4 years of experience in the Philippines po (3 yrs sa OR and 1 yr sa ER) and then sa Singapore po is 1 and half yr lang po. Ang marecommend ko po is mag experience muna po kau sa pinas like 3 years para po sa hospital kayo maassign. Kasi sa pagkakaalam ko po, sa nursing homes yung no experience na inooffer. So better to strengthen your skills po muna while waiting for your papers and mga exam na maipasa po. Just keep on working sa hospital and just enjoy the learning process though it’s tough, worth po na maging nurse sa pinas kasi mas mahirap po ang trabaho sa pinas so masasanay po kayo pag nag abroad na kayo. Congrats kabayan you made it. Start na ng sleepless nights at mahirap but very fulfilling na trabaho mo as a US RN. Payo ko lang get a very good experience sa medsurg unit, get all the free educations offered then after a year or 2 move up to ER or ICU para mas malake kita then pursue a nurse practitioner course mas lalong malake kita lalo na kung magiging CRNA ka. Magipon ng magipon then maginvest. Good luck kabayan samahan ka nawa ng Dios sa journey mo.
