Is it possible to recalibrate a TPS unit that isn't meant for my car? I have an old TPS Bosch unit that is worn out as its the old strip style. I was thinking about getting an electro magnetic TPS type and calibrate it to match the OEM TPS. Is that possible or am I being too ambitious?
If you know the sweep (voltage) properties of your OEM TPS, then it would be easier to find an alternative TPS with a sweep that matches you OEM TPS sweep. If you have good knowledge of electronics, them I'm sure it's possible with the right combination of electronics to modify the TPS signal but it's not something we have ever tried. Good luck.
