Disneyland has the best Fantasmic.
Did they ever add seating to CA? I saw it there first was amazed, but then at Disney MGM they built that great stadium which made it a bit better. Although, no Peter Pan hurt.
California is better, you can't beat it
@@Michaelsmith-tf1ve Disneyland's isn't set in a stadium like DHS is. The stage for fantasmic there is essentially Tom Sawyer's island with the viewing area in New Orleans Square along the Rivers of America. Basically, stadium seating would be a total eyesore in the area since it's not blocked or walled off from the rest of the park.
Josh Cease Yes Josh, I’ve seen them both. Anaheim first (was a while ago) and then I saw Orlando’s show (sitting next to Michael Eisner and family-a strange coincidence-he was very nice). I wondered if they had changed Ca after Orlando built a stadium. I don’t think one show is better than the other. Anaheim blew my mind. Then Orlando building a stadium at (the time Disney/MGM studio) was great. I wish I saw the show in China (obviously not as big as CA and Orlando). But I do think both shows were worth the price of admission (at the time). They jacked up prices since then, but the shows are still a must see during your visit to either park! @@pIaidified having seats and being on gom Sawyers Island does make it inferior, the actual show at Disneyland makes Florida look so old... and Disneyland has the better updated version

It's so sad knowing that this show is ending. I still remember going to Disney Sea back in my seventh grade year. It was the first time I'd ever been to one of the Disney parks, and this show absolutely enchanted me. Me and my parents went to see it about three times on our trip. I was supposed to go to Japan for my senior trip last year, and I was looking forward to seeing this show again, spending one of my last moments of childhood reliving one of my dearest childhood memories. The trip got canceled due to Covid. I wish I could have at least seen it one last time 😭
FYI: Fantasmic! was planned to have its final performance on March 25th, but Tokyo Disney closed due to coronavirus from Feb 29th. So the Feb 28th's show became the final performance.
Why is this show leaving?
@@thatdisneyfan5759 A new show for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics was going to take its place before having a permanent replacement, but since the Olympics were cancelled, the show might be in temporarily before a new show comes in, but for all we know, this was the final performance of TDS's Fantasmic.

The Disney Tokyo sea version of fantasmic is really unique compared to the American versions since the lagoon in the center of Tokyo Disneyland doesn't have an island to perform the show from mickey mouse performs the intro of the show his battle with the Disney villains and the finale from the top of a telescoping cone shaped tower shaped like his sorcerers hat that magically changes scenes and houses the fireworks launchers
I need to hear that version of Circle of Life!

This one didn’t do much for me compared to the Disneyland one (I saw the WDW one when I was roughly 10? So I don’t remember it). The genie part was great though, and the floats and effects overall are just more impressive, but something about it just feels off. Maybe it’s just the language barrier 🤷🏼♀️

@@Snowwinterie and the extended closure of the park, thanks to the Wuhan Virus, means that it took its final bow on 28/2 and none of us were ready for the sudden ending of the show. #ThanksCCP

Most of the props and scenes should be shipped to Florida's Hollywood Studios for its own '2.0 Version' which (I think) will happen in 2023 for its 25th Anniversary! ;-)
None of it would fit lol. TDS’s would fit in Epcot, but most certainly not in Hollywood studios. They barely have enough space as is

This hardly seems like fantasmic to me. I write this as the lion King part ends. It reminds me of a combination of world of Color at DCA and Rivers of light at animal kingdom.
I Wish Fantasmic would return to Tokyo Disnesea in its English language version.

Well the show was gonna end on March 25th anyways. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics was gonna bring in a new nighttime show for DisneySEA before having a permanent replacement, but due to the lockdown and closure of the park, Fantasmic went away without a proper goodbye.
the two commercials in the middle were pretty distracting

I'd argue that WDW's fantasmic is completely underwhelming but as to why, Tokyo Disney is a relatively small resort so they just like to replace these shows every few years for new ones. Something always has to go when they want to introduce something else new.
They were going to replace the Tokyo Fantasmic with a show for the 2020 Olympics before a new show would permanently take Fantasmic's place. But due to the lockdown, this was the final performance.

@@dillonwilliamsinc. No, it's due to them wanting to do a new night-time show in time for the Tokyo Olympics, it was already slated to close later this month, the virus has prevented them to do a proper send-off sadly
Mathieu Leblanc Not true. There is still no news of a new nighttime spectacular. It definitely wouldn’t have made it in time by the Olympics.
@@tomavittle18 Disney announced that a new show was in development for the Olympics, and it's likely that show will take Fantasmic's place for the meantime while they get a new show to officially replace Fantasmic.

Disneyland Tokyo, or every Disneyland in general (with some slight exception from Walt Disney World) are small parks so some things just come and go. Take Disneyland California with Tower of Terror transforming it to Guardians of the Galaxy.

ALBERTO ROMERO - It’s not. They announced months ago that Fantasmic was ending.
Fantasmic was supposed to end on March 25th. Then, a new show would come in for the 2020 Olympics. After that was over, an entirely new show would permanently take the place of Fantasmic. But due to the lockdown enforced by Covid-19, the show ended its run early. The Olympics show might be in place while they finish up the new show that is going to replace Fantasmic.
Why it was last performance??
A. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the park to shut down temporarily.
B. The DisneySEA park was supposed to get a new show for the 2020 Olympics, but since the Olympics were cancelled, that show never came and so Fantasmic is just gone. After the Olympic season, the show was gonna get a permanent replacement, but it doesn't look like that is happening anytime soon as the new show is probably still in development. There might be a placeholder show similar to Epcot Forever, or Fantasmic might even come back for a limited run.

Floridas is the best ...
In the Nostalgia factor, yes. But when talking about technology and stuff like that, the show is very rooted in the 90s (It literally hasn't gotten and update since it opened in 1998) and I prefer the Tokyo and California ones in that category. But if you want that nostalgic Disney 90s feel, than Florida's wins, since it literally hasn't been changed since its opening.

I’m guessing this was at Disney Sea, which wasn’t opened yet, been a while, but more like Lametasmic😷
