I have exactly the same diagram. I have opened it and step by step i'm moving on :) Only one difference after Service tank and Before M/E Booster Pump has Fuel Mixing unit. I didn't see this on the diagram here. Thank u.
Hi...it was nice presentation and we'll explained.
Is it possible to share that PDF, for my reference.
My email ID is roshvarghese@gmail.com
Thank You.
Hi. thanks for the video. please explain the necessity of pressure control on the return line of fuel oil.
One of the mmd qstns I have gone through is tht ,what is the most important thing in BDN (bunker delivery note),
BDN provide only basic features of fuel like specific gravity, water content, sulfur content.
There should be a complete chemical analysis so you can trust the fuel.
@@Adventure-Story yes sir I agree ,but if survior is asking tht what is the most important thing in BDN ,what answer we need to give
Hello brother u r doing well n please help me out for one doubt regarding pump lead and cam lead . And how to adjust vit on sulzer ,man b&w and mistui engine
Hello my dear friend. By means of what pressure is saved stable in the line ? I mean in green sector on the pressure gauge in the ECR?
You are my chief engineer
😀
147V valve what type of valve is it?
Hi why do f.o temp and pressure control valve jas different pressure?
Great video. 👍
May i know where is the FO mixing tank/ buffer tank. Is that have in your system and can u share the function.. Thank you
Hello dear friend the main purpose of this tank is to remove any air from the system also in case of black out this tank because is located higher that engines will give positive pressure to the line and to the pumps.Other purpose is for mixing fuels on change over so the procedure will be slowly change and there is slow change in viscosity and prevent pump burrel damage on engines.Thanks.
@@Adventure-Story thank you. Good video and highly recommended 👍
@@Adventure-Story F.O. RETURN PIPE on diagram is mixing tk?
thanks for video , my first year at marine engineering university and these diagrams looks very complicated to me is this normal ? when will i understand these diagrams ?
Yes this really normal ,)))) i remember myself as apprentice ,don't worry even now most of the engineers they don't understand but take your time learn what ever you can and everything will be better .Sure it need to spend some time on this.
dun worry much, learn as much as u can as engine cadet
Oh i have 2 final exams and i graduate, i`m worried that i only have 3 mounts on board and i know a lot of things in theory, but not in practice. Is that kind of a problem?I`m also worried that the company will make me quickly became an officer (3/e) , but i do not know if i will feel ready for the responsibility because things are pretty much , and i will hardly be faced with everything for some 6 months .Your videos they're really helping me right now. Do u have more diagrams ? How would u advise me, sir? :)
Hi this is Adventure Story and this is my second Channel for Gaming -I am uploading a new video with limbo walkthrough. So i will answer from this account .Yes i will make more videos about diagrams.I believe you will not have any problem just take care of yourself and try to learn as much as possible ask ,show interest to your partners at job.And ready manuals and ask again. To adapt to work and to have more practice you need to take tools in your hand .This takes some time about 1 to 2 months .Then you will be in the stream like the water inside river you will follow the way .So don't worry i believe this is normal to have this questions as i also had questions about all this.
thank you so much :)
u should start with 4/e, learn as much as possible when with 4/e rank
I have a question abt autoback filter , what do we need to do before start cleaning , whan at port can we stop the supply and booster fuel pump ?
There is bypass filter that you can use.
@@Adventure-Story there isn't a bypass filter in our ship
If the engine is stopped just close the valves and press button for blow the filters with air and drain 3 4 times and then remove the filters.

Sir is it okay if you can send me some of your manuals?
Hello manuals can’t be send as it is owner’s property and can’t be distributed across .Hope you understand.
how we make flashing ?
can u make an same video about purifiers and f.o. transfet diagram PLSSSSS
Yes sure that will be nice to talk about!
@@Adventure-Story so I am waiting for your guide (video) . When you will leave the ship CHIF 😁
Soon my friend after discharging from Singapore.
Sir how much viscosity(cst) we keep for generator ??
Hello in most cases 13-16 but it depends from fuel oil always!
@@Adventure-Story sir why we didnot see back pressure regulating v/v on generator hfo return line ,but we see that it is present in diesel oil return line on generator and as well on main engine??
@@AmarjeetSingh-xj4pk As i remember there is always regulating valves placed both diesel and hfo.
@@Adventure-Story thanks sir. All your video's are very helpful to us.
@@AmarjeetSingh-xj4pk Thanks!
Sir ,if catfins are more in fuel ,what changes we have to do with purification?
As we know now fuel have really increased amount of cat fines there is ways to fight it.
Proper purification with minimum flow rate ,proper filtering equipment fine filters, drain from settling and service tanks, and use of additives.
@@Adventure-Story sir ,can we run purifiers in parallel to fight against catfins
You can run on parallel or in series the most important is to see how efficiently your purifier reduce the catfins at the outlet.Let’s say cat enters 100ppm and at outlet there is 20ppm it is acceptable them from 20 ppm it will reduce to 5 through autofine filters.
Most efficient purifier goes from 70 to 80 percent if everything work good.
@@Adventure-Story thank you sir ,
Welcome!
dear sir, why dont we stop fuel oil supply and circulation pumps during port stay when the engine is stopped and why flowmeter wont measure any reading yet the supply pump run during port stay?
Please reply back
Hello fuel must be run in the lines due to keep fuel system piping hot enough to run fuel oil and keep fuel oil pumps heated so they will not get stuck.
About flowmeter they ca write so m3 during port stay some of the fuel passing .
When engine is in stop position all the fuel returns back from return pipe back some of fuel also going to pumps but bypassing flow meter from other line.
@@Adventure-Story how does it bypass flow meter? We don't change anything over there. We just let as it is in Normal running condition. I'm confused here
@@mohammad-mo3gs some systems have a bypass line with a pressure regulator which opens at 0.7 bar here in this video we have little bit different system as you can see circulating pumps suction the fuel from return pipe but on the top as you can see there is regulator opening at 5bar so when engine stops most of the fuel goes back to tank and some of the fuel circulated back to engine.
In the last flow meter you have small turning of flow meter.
Other case is to have a problem with regulating valve then flowmeter turning like crazy because all the fuel passing from there, when the engine are in stop condition.
@@Adventure-Story thank you for replying
Where can i get that PDF sir?
my Email is minchitsoesan@gmail.com
Hello dear friend pdf you can find in internet for sure many things .
