Algebra II on Khan Academy: Your studies in algebra 1 have built a solid foundation from which you can explore linear equations, inequalities, and functions. In algebra 2 we build upon that foundation and not only extend our knowledge of algebra 1, but slowly become capable of tackling the BIG questions of the universe. We'll again touch on systems of equations, inequalities, and functions...but we'll also address exponential and logarithmic functions, logarithms, imaginary and complex numbers, conic sections, and matrices. Don't let these big words intimidate you. We're on this journey with you!
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.
For free. For everyone. Forever. #YouCanLearnAnything

My teacher explained this for an hour. And I still didn't understand.
Thanks khan academy
This man is hella good at drawing with a mouse
He uses a stylus
IKR
I know Im 5 years late but he uses a drawing table
@@luislol9320 HELP
if you are here , your probably cramming for a test or you have a bad teacher. Good luck my friends. I can say good bye until my kids have this. GOOD LUCK for many years to come.
bro this a youtube video not a highschool quote
Or we are here because we have a great teacher who links us to this, and all we have to do is watch, say what we learned, good or bad points, and we get points that make sure we make straight A's/dean's list.
or you so stupid and don't undrestand your teacher.
I've watched many vids and I still don't get it ://
me neitherr
Same😕
Me too
Thank you. I think this cleared up my issue with graphing these inequalities.
Brings back school memories lol
Wait... People 8 years ago used to use (lol) i thought it was only 3 years old 😂😭

5:25 GREEN MAGENTA LINE
He made this when i was 2
I thought I could graph a line until I got to this unit...I never felt so dumb in my entire 15 years of life😭🤦🏽♀️
same
Bro is now 19
Too clear, thanks

See I wanna graduate but I'm scared because I suck at math and it's a requirement for a diploma!!! I wanna learn how to do at least algebra.
I got a test tomorrow.. I think I'm good.
Awesome
I don't get it. The first solution y > x-8, the y int is -8 and the slope is 1, right? Why the other point is 8? 😑😑
Hi, it's me Shanella Simple, the initial y-int is -8 which make a point (0,-8) on the graph, x=1 so the slope is 1/1, since to reach to second point on the x-int will be +8 u need to do 1/1 8 times because 1/1 means ur going up 1, and going right 1, so u end up w/ a positive x cuz its going to the right cuz its 1 not -1 and u have to do it 8 times cuz 1x8 = 8 and that 8 will cancel out the -8 y-int so it can reach to x-int, but since u not only moved up 8 times u moved right 8 times too, so think of the slope as 8/8 then. Simple concept.
@@-Psycan you explain again in simpler silly guy terms? My brain did not process that
green magenta line
y = x - 8. and the slope is 1. then howcome when he moved to the right by one he went up by 8. I thought when he moved to the right by one, he should go up by one since m = 1?
Hello sir, Am sorry I couldn't understand how you the slop, can you say something please.
the slop is the tan value of the angle between the strightline and the x- axis obtained in the anticlockwise notation

HOW DID HE GET THAT 8 FOR THE X AXIS LIKE SOMEONE HELP
Cami Diaz G -8 is the y intercept for the first equation in the top left of the screen so that’s where he must first plot for a starting location
hello
Hi
5:25 green magenta line??!!!
I have no understanding of practical application to these things. It seems like a torture method mathematicians came up with.
Says algebra ll I’m in algebra l about to have a test and imma 7 th grader
Congratulations you're a prophet
hi

zac mcfarlen hi
hi
why -8 again??
When y=-x-8 is transposed
y in the equation is set to zero : 0=x-8
And x is brought to the other side which then changes the sign infront of x , like this : x=-8
POV your cramming for a test
