Thank you! This is actually what my color looks like when it's fading. I didn't like it that much at first since it's more hot and fiery, but I've come to embrace it too aha. My hair is naturally straight. I had some waves in this video because they were 3rd day curls. :)
I personally actually really love the color but I know I would never be able to pull it off xD Do you have any tips for curling super layered hair? I feel like every time I curl my hair it just looks super messy and the curls/waves are never "uniform" as in they always look different like one might be suuper barrel-like and another will be like a ribbon (which is usually what I try to aim for).
You totally can pull it off! I was hesitant about dyeing my hair red too, but this color has given me a lot of confidence because I've had to just own it. :) I used to have really layered hair, and I found that curling with a flat iron may give you more control than a curling iron. If you're looking for ribbon curls though, you can wrap your hair around a curling wand. Try to grab the same amount of hair each time, but for shorter layers, you can go with smaller sections because if you try to curl hair that's too short and thick, the curls won't form well. Try alternating the directions of your curls as well so they look more natural and won't blend into big rolls. It takes some time to get to know your hair and how it behaves, but practice will make perfect! :)
I've tried multiple times but my hair just doesn't seem to curl "nicely". Some curls will turn out great others will turn out really strange looking xD The number of times I've practiced on random nights when I'm bored is probably taking a toll on my hair :(

That's how it was for me at first too. Before I got into styling, it'd take me a good 15 minutes to just french braid my hair, and it was messy aha. Since I've been practicing for years now, I feel like my hair cooperates with me more. xD Thanks so much for your support!

Bobypins can never hold my hair. I guess my technique is bad...but my hair is also heavy, thick and slipery. Do you have any tips? or some kind of alternative to bobypins?
You can purchase bigger bobby pins to suit your thick hair. If it gets slippery, then a trick is to spray the pin with hairspray to give it some grip. You can also add some texture to your sleek hair with dry shampoo to make it easier to work with. If you want to do updos, I recommend twisty pins. They lock in buns better than bobby pins. There's several different tricks on how to use bobby pins with certain hairstyles - maybe I'll make a tutorial on it in the future! :)

I would say my hair is medium but more on the thinner side than thick. I wish it was thicker 😶
