bro i cried, and i'm still crying. he's such a sweetheart. i haven't played the full game yet, but i hope that him and daniel get reunited. i can't bear thinking of the thought that chris is going to keep waiting for daniel to come back but he never does.

chris getting hit hurts me so goddamn much. i’m glad he ends up being okay, but fuck, it sucks that there’s an ending where he gets hurt the same way his mom died, just because he was trying to help sean and daniel and thought he had super powers. my baby chris, i just wanna hug and tell him everything will be better now 😭
To get the good ending on the 2nd episode you have to treat Daniel well in the 1st as they are all linked.
KEY:
1. Confront the bully.
2. Teach Daniel to skip stones and don’t tell him scary things in the forest, treat him well, help him over the tree, ect. Do not steal in the forest car park.
3. Do not get him to beg or distract Doris at the gas station, do not steal or beg at the gas station. DO NOT KICK THE STORE OWNER AND STEAL THE TENT!
4. Promise you won’t lie to him again.
5. Throw the snowball next to him not at him. 5.5 Stop him from killing the cougar.
6. Call him out on cheating playing pirates.
7. Encourage him to use his powers. Don’t knock him for using them.
8. Tell him to stop swearing
9. Be careful about telling him there is a heaven or not and then praying or not praying with grandmother as that becomes a lie.
10. Concede he did the right thing saving Chris.
11. Tell Daniel to tell Chris the truth.
12. Let Daniel use his power to save grandad.
OTHER: If you promise something do it. Like buy him a choco-crisp at the gas station. Get him to fix things around the grandparents house using his powers. Just don’t be an ass hole, like splashing him and shit.
Doing these things keeps both the characters morally positive, makes Daniel’s and Sean’s relationship strong and encourages Daniel to use his power the right way at the right time and I theorise will make him stronger as practice makes perfect.
I am sure in the future there will be a time Daniel will need to act out on his own and depending on the choices that have been made he will either kill a bunch of people or save them.
What I love about the good ending is that Daniel does not lament that he has powers but that he does not want to be a superhero because he is worried about making the right decision when to use his powers. He is not scared of his powers anymore. That is him levelling up. SuperWolf still has a long way to go though and needs more training but we know he can now move cars with his power.
This is actually the way to keep Daniel still a kid. He won't listen if you make him do things he shouldn't have to like killing the cougar is a big no no and pranking the guy is not good either. But make sure you do some of the optional dialogue like skip stones and all that cause that helps see that you care for Daniel and he'll see that you're just trying to help him and then he'll listen to you

Literally got the ending where there's no car incident on my first play through, and my friend flipped out wondering how I did it lol
I think a big part of it is that you just gotta treat Daniel properly and dont do criminal stuff (like steal the camp gear, etc).
Yeah, Daniel telling Chris the truth is strictly dependant on his current moral attitude. I violently stole the gear but didn't kill the cougar and ended up with peaceful escape scenario
@@johnsk.j6894 i stole the gear from the market , killed the cougar and got the same ending as you. i think what matters is not picking the “guard the secret” to daniel cause they ask you like 3 times in this episode.
Did anyone else think this episode had a lot of audio glitches?

i kept accidentally interrupting people by looking at something.. also the voice actors would sometimes speak too slow, like when you are inspecting something it will seem like he is done talking then you back out and hear he was gonna say something else. all the audio seems like it wasnt great. i also hear people talking at the same time sometimes too

I reminded Daniel of the rules, told him to tell Chris the truth, hid his powers from Claire, and I got the ending where Chris helped us with the path
I’ve reran this episode three times and still can’t get the ending where everything is perfect where Chris helps and no police is harmed, this is hurting me 😔
So even after going back through episode 1 and making sure Sean and Daniel are on good terms and continuing to be supportive and hold to the rules -- on top of telling him to tell Chris the truth -- I still get the ending where Daniel saves Chris from the cop. I've gone through episode 2 like 5 times at this point trying to get the ending where Chris helps them escape, but no dice.

I don't really know how, but I think if you want to get that ending, Criss needs to trust Sean. He gains Criss's trust by putting all of his toys (heroes and villans) in correct places I think...

Ik this is 1 year ago, but it seems not stealing anything in episode 1 (even the chock o crisp bar in the car) allows you to get the ending. Your showing Daniel that no matter how much you like something or need something, you have to abide by the law and pay to get it. Gaining Chris’s trust isn’t really a factor since it only allows you to have a talk with Charles about his abusive behaviour.

we’re only two episodes in and there’s been so many deaths first the boys father mushroom the puppy and now chris (he can be saved depending on ur choices) but there’s no way he survived that impact ): I also get the feeling that lyla might die next my theories are 1) she dies by suicide 2) dies in a protest about police brutality or 3) dies of an accidental overdose since she said she was on medication if you call her at the grandparents house
I don’t think lyla would die from police brutality bc they would want her alive since she’s so close with sean they figure she could have valuable information in the future
but we’ll see what happens next in may?? hopefully a little sooner this time but I’m so nervous for episode 3

I think it's right to tell Daniel to hide his powers as much as possible but I also told him that it was the right choice to help Chris when he fell from the treehouse. I might did one or two things that I shouldn't have but I don't get why Daniel didn't help Chris with the car. I still think my choices are right overall because I gotta protect Daniel and don't draw attention to us though.

Hello. I am writing this comment purely because I encountered a problem during my personal walkthrough. When I told Daniel to tell the truth to Chris, he did not listen to me. So as for me, I didn’t get the best ending (Daniel stops the car, but Chris is disappointed that he doesn’t have the power) Now I want to write a couple of points about what decisions I made in all the episodes to get a “boring ending”)
1. Let's start with episode 1. You definitely need to help Daniel in the forest so that he would not fall, do not joke with him, do not ask to beg food, etc. I think you understand that you need to do everything "good"
2. So, the episode 2. I will write the choices I made:
• Did not kill cougar.
• Say Daniel to stop during breakfast (there are 2 options: “stop” and “ignore”)
• Telling Steven the truth.
• clean the house
• Daniel when he saved Chris
• pray wit Claire
• Very interesting. When you first go to Chris's home, you will see Daniel use power, you have to choose “Irresponsible” in a dialogue (perhaps this will also help to get the ending)
IMPORTANT!
As for me, it was surprising. When Sean asks Daniel to clean the room, he can agree or refuse. If he AGREED - this is great and you are on the right way)
If he REFUSED, he already shows disobedience. So, when asked to tell Chris the truth, he will most likely disobey. Try to change some choices up to this point.
In my 2nd passage, I killed the cougar, said nothing when he lifted the plates, told Chris "cool", the other choices were about the same. This time, Daniel refused to say the truth and, accordingly, did not listen to me.
Try to play with choices and you will succeed)

I did exactly the same choices as you to get the ending when Daniel saves Chris from the car, but I got the one when the car hurts Chris... And I still don't understand why.
You have to gain Chris trust in the episode. Pick all the villains and heroes correctly and have him open up about his dad.

@harmonizers and limelights lit i honestly dont know the difference. if there is one, i dont think it's a big one. if you want to play lis2 and dont feel like playing captain spirit i think you should just play it. if it does change it, its probably only a couple of dialog lines. i dont think you'd be missing anything, really.

I was wondering if anyone else was disappointed that mantroid was never caught or revealed . I felt like why did they introduce the captain spirit story and not get some sort of closure for Chris and his dad. I grew to love these characters they deserve some sort closure. Unless the new life is strange game that there working on might solve it. They are supposedly bring back steph from life is strange before the storm maybe Chris will come back. Or maybe they will mention in a news paper that someone was caught or confessed to the crime.

How to get at the ending where Chris help sean and daniel? Because i did like you, first i said Daniel it was good to save chris and then like you at 16:44 i telled him he should stop lying but chris got hit by that car
It's likely that Daniel lied to Chris and if this does happen, despite you asking him to tell the truth, it's most likely because Daniel doesn't trust you. Replay and attempt to gain Daniel's trust by being honest and playful with him, you may have to replay episode 1.

Yes it does. Stealing the tent messes up their relationship. Daniel begins to steal and becomes more agressive and doesnt listen. You don’t need the tent anyway as you find a house in the 2nd episode

Don’t steal anything in episode 1, try to get Daniel to use his power to save Stephen, condone him for saving Chris and also condone him for using his powers to fill up the canteens.
I had been playing honestly and what not but when I got to the Christmas market I had to get Daniel a gift to move on and the cheapest thing was 5 bucks but only had 4 so I had to steal the yoyo but Daniel was around when I did it could that still be why I didn’t get the ending where Chris helps them with the short cut I only got Daniel saving him from the car

You have to "concede" when Daniel saves Chris and tell Daniel to tell Chris the truth. If you still get this outcome it's likely that Daniel feels distant from you, replay episode 1 and develop a trusting relationship with him by promising not to lie and don't steal.

For Chris it depends on what costume you made in the demo, and Daniel's mask depends on Chris's mask(or helmet) color I believe
