The moment they showed Mark Wahlberg singing "We all Die young " I was like hell no that is not Marky Mark singing that song. There's only guy, with that voice, and vocal ability. And that is Milijenko Matijevic, the lead singer for Steelheart.
Im living proof that if your brother is in the 80s definitive boy band, you can weasel your way into being a half rate white rapper...and when that fails, you can reinvent yourself as an actor!

So I pulled out my phone and put it on UA-cam and played this song with the lyric video and I let my sister hear it and watch the lyric video i said I want this because we all die young

It was based on Judas Priest 1996 when Tim The Ripper Owns joined and Halford left. Halford wouldn't give the Producer rights so they changed names and a little dialog and we got Rock Star..
Kevin, from what I understand, it started out that way. But when the people making the movie wanted to "Hollywoodize" it, Judas Priest said fine, whatever, we're out. This was said in an interview with Priest. You're right though. It's still based on the Judas Priest/Ripper Owens story. And you're right. Good movie.
