I just bought one of these bikes. Got it on sale. Insane deal. I LOVE THE MOTOR. The rest of the bike is pretty good too. I love the fact that I don't have to pedal at 90 rpm's or higher to feel the torque. I can just chill an enjoy the ride. It goes well with my 2009 Yamaha WR 250r in my garage.
Did you put a water bottle holder on the top or did you just strap it to the top? I velcro strapped mine to the top but am thinking of using something like the SKS holder on top.

I got my copy. Higher end spec’d aggressive xc/enduro setup. I love this bike and not sure why Yamaha is exiting mtb. It’s a tough market, yes, but 28,000+ views on one channel, there tons of videos on the moro7. I wouldn’t spend $6kplus on many bikes no matter which brand. They have a bike under promo priced the way a bike should be, they did SO many enthusiasts a favor. Thank you Yamaha! Your motor is incredible too, so natural, up the WATTS to just 650 but I got 25 miles of hard riding. Took a break and charged for another 15 and called it day. Epic.
When I saw the title stating Yamaha had a full suspension mountain bike it reminded me of the full suspension Yamaha bicycle I had in the late 70's that was sold at Yamaha motorcycle dealers. Of course back then it had two coil spring shocks on the back, but either one or both of the forks were oil filled.

I borrowed a demo bike yesterday and took it for a good rip. Sadly, in Canada the deal is $3k off, no extra battery, and a 3 year warranty. Shame for the discrimination! While I was riding I did miss the 29" feel, and did wish for the bike to be raked out a bit more. Perhaps slapping on a 29 is an option worth investigating.
Better buy it now as Yamaha just announced they are pulling out of the N. American market and will offer support for five years. Any remaining stock will be blown out at a 60 % discount. Pretty sad because these bikes are awesome.
I’ve got two of these bikes one for me and one for my wife and we absolutely love them! Fantastic bikes and an amazing deal! I upgraded to a higher handlebar (50mm) and added a Ergon saddle, and now it's even better. Honestly, you won’t find better specs and quality for this price anywhere!

Sick riding skills, Bryce (hope I got the name right?)! Bought both the 07 and 05, but thinking about selling the 07 as I like the color or the 05 much more. I am an intermediate level rider, and for me the 27.5 setup with the slightly steep geo is perfectly fine.
Electric bicycles are cheating. I need exercise to extend my motorcycle years. But at $2560, I will join the cheaters. I ride twice as far and get about 80% of the work compared to my Specialized carbon. Motorcycling uphill is always more fun than down. The Moro 07 is motorcycle-like in this aspect. Enjoying the uphill almost as much as downhill with this bicycle. All of Mormon Trail on less than half battery. Proper review. Ride on.

The dealership had to fill out the information to get me the battery on order. It will take 120 days and they ship the battery directly to your house!
Everyone always only reviews the ToL bikes. I ordered a Moro 05 bc they are completely sold out of the 07 given the ridiculously good deals on them right now. The 05 is the same frame and motor but would love to hear a review based on it because of the component differences which appears to be a big jump from 05 to 07.
Is there anywhere to get recimmended suspension settings as a starting point? Im picking mine up on Friday. With trek they have a website you can put your weight in and they will give you air pressure and clicker recomendations.
I just picked mine up today. I'm pretty sure you can enter the serial number on the fork into RockShock's site and get base-line settings there. Yamaha's user manual sucks!

Great warranty but, lets hope they go with a bigger battery at lest for a option in the future. While it is a great price if you lock at the price of most bigger batteries that part of the reason. Also there trying sell these bikes so that's part of it. Hope they continue to make whole bikes and really get in to it time will tell. You should directly compare these to Giant Stance Ebikes
When we do reviews we try to keep the MSRP in mind/conversation since sales will come and go. But since the sale price happened, we included it in the title and a couple reverences in RQ.
Just bought 2 moro 07s last week, a medium in stock for my fiance and a large for me that i picked up yesterday. While at the dealer I was informed that Yamaha was "out of stock" on the free battery and that Yamaha was gonna stand on the "while supplies last" clause. My question is this: how will they honor the 5 yr warranty if my battery goes bad, if they have no stock? I got the warranty registered as soon as we bought the bikes, and at that time i was supposedly stiil gonna get the batteries. Called Yamaha customer service in GA, and they gave me the same "while supplies last" line, couldn't explain how the warrantied battery would be covered if there was a failure. They also told me there was no one i could go to beyond them. I will see if they honor the free batteries, but im more concerned about support for the battery i already have. Any thoughts?
Curious about what giant ebike you tested. Link? If I didn’t already have a giant trance x e+ pro with fox suspension I’d be into it. Tons of power, but it’s tough to get a workout without turning down the power to the lowest setting.
Eco is for working out. Seldom come off it. The rest are for going fast or offroad. I've got a gorgeous and highly competent 8 y/o Haibike Full Seven RX that looks like new. ONLY thing keeping me from ordering one right now. And I'm still close to doing it. Bet I could sell the Haibike for 1k, maybe 1500. Shat.....

I called Yamaha a couple days after watching this video. Something's crooked because they wouldn't even find me a dealer where I can buy one. They would just ask for my ZIP code and tell me there's no dealer in my area. I practically begged them to buy one and they basically said I'm out of luck cuz there's no dealer. Even though I was willing to have it shipped or whatever I had to do. If that's the case they're warranty and customer service have got to be garbage.
I seriously considered one, but the dealer made it crystal clear that they had no interest whatsoever in having anything to do with any service or support. I am very skilled mechanically with lots of hands on experience so my only real expectation was support for the motor & battery. They were completely non committal on even that. It’s too bad that Yamaha isn’t emphasizing service after the sale or selling through bike dealers. The bike can obviously complete in the market, but no support means no sale to me.
That's strange. Yamaha has some of the best warranties around too. Might just be a not-so-great dealer. Worth looking into if you have another Yamaha rep close-ish
If they have the contract for the e-bikes at their dealer, they must provide warranty service for them. If they don’t, you need to report them to Yamaha. You ran into a bad dealer. Don’t let it dissuade you from a great brand.
I pretty much ran into the same thing. The only dealer I found 200 Mi away was almost perturbed that Yamaha still had them listed as mountain bike dealer. They said they had nothing but headaches from Yamaha and dropped the mountain bike division because it was too much of a headache. I can't imagine that their warranty would be honored anywhere.

I talked to a dealer that dropped Yamaha mountain bikes and then I called Yamaha directly and they pretty much clarified that it would be next to impossible for me to get any warranty work done. Not even getting parts shipped directly to me buy warranty. The nearest dealer wanted nothing to do with them. Sounds like they are a real big headache to deal with

Even though they dropped out of the e-bike side of Yamaha the dealer tried for 3 Days to get a rep to call him back. Then the dealer finally let me know they finally called him back and said they were out of stock. Correction it wasn't just a call back he said 3 days of playing phone tag and not getting calls returned.
I’ve got one and measured the diameter against my workmate’s bike who have 29 and it’s only 1/2 inch difference because of the bigger tyres not an issue at all in my opinion
On the linked page, there is no way to get to the shopping cart to see the supposed discount. Tried on multiple browsers and from multiple dealers. Waiting to hear back from local dealer on the price. Will adjust the comment depending on Yamaha dealer response. If still not able to find the bike at headline price, that will be an issue that we will further pursue.
@@jovie311 Thanks, I didn't catch that in your video. The bike is a steal at $2000 but I think I would be selling and buying new after 2 years. I have been replacing Darfon batteries in a Fezzari ($600 ea) at 1 per 2 years. I don't have a good answer for the cost of batteries!

I just ordered the Moro 07. I'm on the higher end of 5'11 and typically 6'0 with shoes. Hopefully ordering the large was the right call

We use trailforks. Free version is a little clunky, but it's good for finding trails.

On the product page it has a large red underline that explains there is a promo for $3840 off which brings it to $2559 :)
On the linked page, there is no way to get to the shopping cart to see the supposed discount. Tried on multiple browsers and from multiple dealers. Waiting to hear back from local dealer on the price. Will adjust the comment depending on Yamaha dealer response. If still not able to find the bike at headline price, that will be an issue that we will further pursue.
So a replacement battery is about $1300. Now these bikes are advertised for $2000. Battery is 65% of the cost of a bike??? Just saying.
But you get two batteries with this.
@@jovie311 Thanks, I didn't catch that in your video. The bike is a steal at $2000 but I think I would be selling and buying new after 2 years. I have been replacing Darfon batteries in a Fezzari ($600 ea) at 1 per 2 years. I don't have a good answer for the cost of batteries!
This frame design is grossly outdated and limits battery size. But the current sale price is extremely compelling.

There's a lot of good eMTB deals, but yeah, this might be the cream of the crop today at least.
The split frame is unique and functional.
Check out how legit the website is that offers this deal. I did not trust it.

Yeah, it won't be everybody's cup of tea, but remember, this was the unique SE colors. They have less dramatic options.

My dealer charged me $15 only. Depends on the dealer. At 2599 and with the 5 year warranty and a free extra battery its hard to beat.
