A friend of mine used my link to apply. He was planning an overseas trip soon, so I told him to watch for the 5x points new cardholder offer before he paid the tour company. He did get the special offer and charged $10,000 for the trip during the 5x bonus period. He's getting 50,000 points for that one transaction (which he's using for a business class flight). That's better than a sign-uo bonus, IMO, since there's no annual fee or minimum spending requirement.
My dude! Here are some tips I wish creators were speaking of more: On the 1st: Load your Starbucks account: 6x Schedule Door Dash deliveries for upcoming nights and cancel if you change your mind: 6x Pay your utilities: 2x Pay your cell phone bill: 2x + you get $800 coverage per phone on your plan
Everything but dining and travel is 1X. EVERYTHING is 1X. But on rent day (the 1st), everything except rent is 2X. (Rent is always 1X). So on rent day, utilities, phone, whatever, is 2X.
Thank you, John for the tips. I got the BILT card about 6 mos ago. I love using it for rent. I also save my dining purchases for the 1st of the month to get max points. I was glad to see that they finally added some Phoenix restaurants to the plan. I'm new to the whole points thing. I'm saving up for travel. And I appreciate that there is help in BILT for making transfers.
I unfroze my credit reports and applied for this card since you're the one who showed me this originally. thank you man. enjoy the free 2,500 points :)
Absolutely loved your detailed video. I have had this card for a while and did not know the extra benefits with the points transfer. Thanks for breaking this out and will be able to use the benefits to max extent.
Sitting at a 608 but just paid off collections and halved my credit card debt in just the past few days and can pay it off in full in a few weeks, i wished they updated credit reports faster cuz i want this card so bad 🤧
Wish I could have gotten this card as soon as it came out. It's my favorite card so far! Transferred points to Air France and hopefully using the miles to go to Germany 🇩🇪
This is unironically my dining card with the multiplier. Easy way to get the 5 transactions especially on Rent Day. Their dining category also covers cafes and bars which not all cards with "Dining" categories do. Even then, I'm fine with the negatives so that the card doesn't get too powerful to be no Annual Fee. I do need to find a way to earn status on it, now that I have it. The amount of spending/points, I'm pretty sure has to be annual and not cumulative. The rewards system makes it tempting to go ham on rent day spending which not everyone has in budget.
My main issue with the bilt mastercard is this is the card I got the most fraud purchases from in my life, I had no other that has gotten frauded before and this card was flagged multiple times which is very annoying but I still have the card so that's saying something and the customer service is also good (this last time i had to call multiple time before i talked to a person) its a good card but i people to be aware of these little quirks
I know u used those trips as examples of what you can do with pts but the flight to japan was 60k pts ONE WAY. That would mean you need to pay $120,000 in rent and wait TWO yrs to travel round trip in Japan in the best possible scenario. The Hyatt was 25k/night which is a lot more reasonable for ppl who dont pay a ridiculous 5k/monthly rent. maybe use the lower end of spectrum for examples as well to see what a normal person who pays 2-3k monthly rent could get.
You're right but he also covered the smart way to use your points which is to find the award flights and transfer your points when it's not a 1-1 ratio. Go back to the part where he mentions 75%-150% bonus for transfers
I travel constantly for work and have to do my own flight booking. Honestly, he is inflating the value of airline redemption. To get good business class redemption, you literally have to travel on the least busy day and off time. This is often time people are all in school and work, with difficulties using their PTO. Otherwise, the redemption amount is VERY high or outrageous. Most airlines have gone to demand based redemption, so the amount changes all the time based on travel/booking demand. In addition, the taxes and fees for international flights are very very high, often into hundreds of dollars. If your interest is just to travel, there are so many good deals to be had just paying the ticket with cash/credit card. For example, you can go from the US to London for $400 or Paris for as low as $375...roundtrip, tax included. Or you can go to Japan, roundtrip for $500-$600, tax included. If you then remove the tax amount from these cheap fares, your redemption rate is not very high... I ran the numbers and for the normal range renters, you AIN'T going anywhere with the rewards - not for a long time... and that's assuming the airlines don't change their redemption structure in the time you are accumulating your points, which almost all of them have changed.
I appreciate you doing these comprehensive reviews, but I wish you would give examples of domestic flights, not just luxary vacations. Many people just want to be able to fly a family of 4 to a vacation in Orlando or a family reunion in Denver, etc. It would be great to know what the points are worth, especially if you're more than one person.
The real story here is Wells Fargo underwrites some of the best cards on the market, i.e., BILT, AutoGraph, ... If Wells Fargo's customer service is any better, I would get more of their cards.
I only use the card on the 1st of the month (to get my 5+ transactions). And I was fortunate to get the 5x new account bonus during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday week.
i looked up the flight similarly priced from Tx to Japan. It seems like you're showing a one-way ticket rather than round trip which is cheaper. Main cabin if low $1000, it shows as 35k points, but business around $7k is around >300k points (not 60k). Idk if that's a glitch, but it's misleading giving false hope in thinking average people can get round trip business to japan for 60k AA points... At time slot 8:14, the Business one way @ the 2:35pm slot is 450k AA points... Otherwise, appreciate your video and your content. Been a follower for a long time!

I don't see how a 0.5% cash back card is a top tier card. It seems like the lowest tier rewards card you can get. It's extremely misleading not to mention the actual value of the points. There is a slight advantage to actually getting 0.5% on rent, but you lose money on the additional required four purchases, which is how they make money. It's wise to think about how much money the company is making by offering these misleadingly high rewards. They are making a lot of money on every purchase you make, including rent.

Great video! I’m looking for a Visa/MC no annual fee and no foreign fee as my Amex Gold is not widely accepted abroad. Thanks to you and the info, I think I will get Bilt vs. the Capital SavorOne, specially bc of the Travel Partners and Rent points. Thanks!

Weird question but can i have the check shipped to my self? My landlord comes pick up the check every month, and certain ppl would rather not give out theor address
I wish b i l t would also stretch that out to utilities. If they did that this would be the ultimate credit card. Because then everyone in America could get it and earn points
can I apply for it if I’m from the uk - or better said currently living in uk? (I’m not an us citizen) please help me - I’ve been looking online for like forever and I still can’t find an clear answer
The points are worth .055 cents, making it a 0.5% cash back card. 2x points is 1%, 5x points sounds exciting but it's just 2.5% which is what my current Alliant Visa pays all the time. Most travel cards offer way higher cash back. They really should not be discussing points at all without saying exactly what they are worth. I could offer a card that gives you 500 points every purchase. Sound exciting? In the fine print, you might find a point is worth .0000001 cents, so 500 points is worth 5 ten-thousandths of a cent. They allow utilities payments as well as Internet/cable bill
@@fbx03 thank you

Do a video on disney world trip using points please
Can I use this for my mortgage?
Weird question but can i have the check shipped to my self? My landlord comes pick up the check every month, and certain ppl would rather not give out theor address
I wish b i l t would also stretch that out to utilities. If they did that this would be the ultimate credit card. Because then everyone in America could get it and earn points
Only thing i would say is shitty is now that, i have to open wells fargo checking to use autopay !!! , or am i not getting this right ?😊
So if I'm setting up this to be debited from my mortgage bank. Will it be a checking account since I have an account and routing number?
What about mortgage?
What no one has asked is, if you live at home and have to pay “rent”, can you send a check to your parents?
As long as you sign a lease…why not?
Just get your parents to sent up Venmo and sign a lease with you.
I heard you can use this for HOA fees for a condo or townhouse, do they need to be in the network for that or can that apply anywhere?
question if 2x is offered on first and i pay on the first do I still get credit, even though it shows pending as for five days for example
The built app is so fire
What if the landlord has you pay rent via Moneygram instead?
Are there any cards that offer no-fee rent payments like the BILT but aren't affiliated with Wells Fargo?
Apparently no.
Thank You.
can I apply for it if I’m from the uk - or better said currently living in uk?

But how is it that a borrower has to pay the mortgage payment and the credit card payment?
In this scenario, the borrower has to make 2 payments?
What is your question?
Can I use this Bilt card to pay rent for my family members asi don’t rent. Thanks
12:51 Wouldn't your friend Brian be getting hit with fees for paying his utilities with a credit card?
I was going to jump on the Autograph but not the Journey might make me wait
Can the assigned account + routing number be used to pay back student loans or medical bills?
I wouldn’t do it. They have someone check the transactions daily to make sure the payments are rent. If I understood correctly
Can you pay your mortgage payment with Bilt?
What about mortgage
Can it be used using PayPal or Venmo to pay rent?
Even if rent is 4k/month thats 48k points a year. I'd rather open a card with 60k bonus every other year tbh.
So u said it can't do mortgages, how about a store rent? I have a business, where I rent the place in a mall, will that count?
As far as I know it doesn’t specify only residential rent, it just caps your total points on rent.
