How to remember characters.?.plz make some videos for this..
When do you use 疼 and when do you use 痛 ?
teng tends to be physical tong tends to be emotional.
Using 痛 is more written than using 疼, such as headache,When it represents a medical condition, often use 痛
But there is no distinction between the two except for a few special cases now
nice teaching about these Chinese synonyms!
Thanks!
Xiexie ni shin pin is excellent
♡謝謝你的分享♡
7:41 when she reads the phone number, why isn't the 1 at the end pronouced "yi" ? I don't know what she says, sounds like "yang"
Oh and great lesson btw
she said Yao, Chinese often pronounce 1 as yao in numbers. Because 7 qi and 1 yi are not easy to distinguish. So we change yi to yao. Such as the emergency call: 110 we say Yao yao ling .
The fire call: 119 we say yao yao jiu.
When giving out phone numbers, to avoid confusion between the sound yi (1) and qi (7), they pronounce 1 as yao (first tone) 幺.
Okay I understand now, thanks for the explanation guys !
That is a big problem with this teacher. Already in first lesson I come across contradictory words, she must explain.
Thank uuu so much
You are welcome. You can also download the MP3 and PDF or take the quiz on this Chinese lesson: www.everydaychinese.com/youtube-lessons/confusing-chinese-synonyms.html
老师, 能不能如果我想问, 你的电话号码几号?
@@listrianigondo8875 6:26
When giving the cellphone numbers, the last number was 1 but I didn't hear yī. I would like to know what did you call 1. Thank you🙏
Yāo
It's yāo. When you give out phone numbers, to avoid confusion between the sound yi (1) and qi (7), we pronounce 1 as yāo 幺.
@@nicholasnatanieluganda8904 thanks
@@EverydayChinese thank you
ㄧㄠ
When should I use 多久?
It means "How often...?" or "How long...?" that depends on the questions. Here is an example.
你多久看一场电影?How often do you watch the movie?
看一场电影要多久?How long does it take if watching the movie?
After watching this, i am more confused
I watched the video and still don't really get the diffence between 时间 (shíjiān) and 时候(shíhou). You said they both refer to "specific" times. I'm a little confused.
When 时间 (shíjiān) refers to a "specific" time, it means what time (o'clock).
E.g. 明天开会的时间是早上9:00. *The time* for tomorrow’s meeting is 9:00 am.
While 时候(shíhou) refers to a "specific" time, it means a period of time.
E.g.
- 明天开会的时候你做报告。Please present a report at the meeting tomorrow.
And we usually use "什么时候” to ask about the time; use "多长时间(or 多久)” to ask about the time duration。
E.G.
-你什么时候吃饭? When do you eat?
-你吃饭要多长时间?How long does it take you to eat?
@Peter Bayne
@@EverydayChinese So... 时间 (shíjiān) is for a statement about time (e.g. The meeting is at 9 0'clock.), while 时候(shíhou) is used for questions about when something is happening (e.g. When do you...?). Is that right?
@@peterbayne7227 the most common structures are :
shihou
1) "shenme shihou (lit what time)" as "when" = "ni de juhui zai shenme shihou?"(when is your meeting)
2) referring to a period or point in time "zai nage shihou, wo de baba hai mei renshi wo de mama". (At that time my father had not yet my mother yet.)
B) "dongtian de shihou" means winter time.. so "de shihou" at the end like this shows this is a period of time
shijian
1) referring to time in general "buhaoyisi wo meiyou shijian lai ni jia chi fan". (Sorry, I don't have time to come to your house and eat) (we can also use "Kong" in this sentence as it means "free time")
B) so "hen duan shijian" means a very short period of time
C) "hua shijian" means spend time
2) referring to the time as a noun "huodong de shijian zai huodong yaoqingdan de houmian" (the time of the event is on the back of the events invitation)
Hope that helps!
A "specific" time:
Subj + 什么时候 + Verb + Obj. ? = When does somebody do ……?
A "specific" time or a period of time:
……的时候, Subj + Verb + Obj. = When…+ clause, somebody does something.
shijian is a space of time
shihou is a point in time.
You are too fast on each slide!
老师,请问 如果 "百" 可以用二吗?比如二百
可以用“二”,也可以用“两”。
@@EverydayChinese 好的。谢谢
I just wonder , you have more than 200k subs and only 4-5 k of views as average only, how is that possible?
People (including me) tend to not be so serious about learning languages.
我看完了,这语速... 所以外教的语速也不是正常语速吧
我英语专业,我们外教跟我聊天的时候说过这个问题,他说说快了怕我们不理解,就故意放慢了的
几点=什么时间
I think what you meant to say is 什么时候😋
When someone asks you 几点, it can be exact time.

These aren’t synonyms
Then what it is? Antonyms? hahah
