The thing that truly set the Technics KN series keyboards apart from others - even to this day - is the vast capabilities of the onboard sequencer. I've looked, and even the "best" - Kurzweil, Korg, Roland, you name it - their sequencers are only suited for writing "beats". Why have build such a great sounding instrument and then strip a true composer's ability to use that instrument to its fullest? It would really do those maker's well (Korg, Roland, etc.) to take a look at the Technics' sequencer - the philosophy of use, and the range of notational nuances available.
