Meat Loaf's and Marion Raven's version is so intense. I actually like it even more than Celine Dion's version.
Steinman's compositions should never have been sung by anyone but Meat. Love Celine, but this song belongs to Meat in my mind.
Apart from the songs Bonnie Tyler did, as Jim wrote a lot of Bonnie's big hits
Meant to be a duo
the song is all about looking back on your loved spouses that pass away.
Jim Steinman wrote it and Meat didn't want it so Jim let Celine do it then Meat decided to do a version of it
incorrect Jim wrote it meatloaf wanted it as a duet Jim said it was a “girls song” and gave it to Pandora’s Box Celine covered it about a decade later then Meatloaf showed he was correct in his assessment of it’s a duet

Celine Dion's voice is too pretty for this song. It needs the raw power like MeatLoaf, or even the original Pandora's Box version (which has the most awesome instrumental solo).
