Those calves were trying to get some water but can reach over the top, bring them a 5 gal bucket of water at least!

They have another place to get water near the house. He got a water tub with a lower spot on the side just for them. Plus those calves are very young & thus get almost or all the liquid they need from their mom’s via milk.
I think they drink milk....it's not just for humans..
Maybe you should watch more of their videos! They take very good care of their animals!

Keep a roll of duct tape in your side by side. Use it to take a tick off your skin and fold it over to contain the bugger. It's not Duct Tape its Tick Tape.
My mom lived in rural Joplin, and fleas and ticks were bad. Her vet suggested spreading Mule Team Borax in her yard, and even directly on her poodle mix dog. It made a huge difference! Obviously, check with your own vet to be sure it's safe around all your different animals before trying it. But for us, it was economical and effective with no problems.

Guineas are a pain and to loud. We used to have a neighbor out in the country that had some about 2 miles away my dad told him if they come in my yard they are gone. We never had a problem

Encourage possums to the 40. They eat about 5000 ticks a week. They also eat rattle snakes & cotton mouths. I fear the incessant talking of ticks has made Adler too fearful to go into the woods; even for his favorite thing in the world. 😔

So glad you are teaching your son about the " gut" feeling. It'll help him do much in the future and may even save his life one day. More parents should teach their youngins how to use that ability, would save a lot of heartaches and possibly a better future for them.

When I was a kid my great grandpa would put an old white door knob in there. Then the snake would get it and couldn't get out or back where it was hiding. He would get it back when he took care of the snake. Now I keep ceramic eggs in my nest.

Its hard letting them go! I cried when mine started kindergarten. Adler is very dmart and I think he will do great at school. You will miss him, but the stories he will come home with will make you happy. Best of luck Adler. Your daddy loves you unconditionally as well as Rae! 👍🏼❤️
Back before the fence was put up That cow probably died on some neighboring property and the owner moved its carcass over to where you found the bones. All the animals, birds, and insects that cleaned the bones left Adler quite a collection. I’m surprised the bones weren’t more scattered though. Great job with filming, Adler.
Does anyone else find it odd on the death of multiple animals at this property, I may be reading too much into it but it just seems strange.
@@dolly6782 ?? I remember the older alpaca they lost fairly recently but that’s all I remember from this property. The bones Chad was showing today was not an animal from his herd. He had to cull a couple of goats at the other property to protect everyone else on the new farm (ALL of the other animals) due to a virus or bacteria that came with one of the goats from the auction house but they never made it to the “new 40”

Funny how Adler had no problem grabbing the bones but was unsure of the short journey to the bones. I love it!! Apparently he’s concerned about the ticks. I don’t blame him. I have a five year old daughter and I just love watching them be kids. Beautiful! Adlers got bones for days!😂

Idea:clean those found bones up really well and let Adler make artwork on them with paint or markers. Then he can sell them to make his own money for games and Reese's.
Adler is such a smart boy he is going to do so good in kindergarten. When I took my kids to kindergarten for the first time they yelled bye mom and ran into the school yard. I cried all that morning.
One of my favorite things is to watch all the animals come out of the woods when you call them. Adler couldn't wait to collect all the bones. Love and prayers to you all. ❤

There are different levels, or at least there used to be. My daughter was put in a special class for speech; she had to wear a brace on her upper jaw.

It was so awesome to see Adler today, he is getting so big. Definitely made my day after the scare I had, and had to go to the ER for a mass in my throat, nothing serious, but serious enough that the Dr was concerned. Those bones were so awesome, it warms my heart to see how excited Adler gets when he gets to hunt bones. Good luck with Adler’s kindergarten intake, you got this! My baby is a junior in College, it’s crazy how fast they grow up! Say a prayer that the antibiotics help with the swelling and inflammation of the mass in my neck that it goes away and I can’t feel normal again. Good night and godless y’all!

Not sure if it will help the other critters, but garlic is good to keep ticks from digging in on you and the dogs. They might ride on you but they wont attach.
Also plant Marigolds, Mint, Rosemary, Lavender and garlic around the house to keep them away

Great findings - a cow puzzle! I saw a cow's scapula at the local pet feedstore yesterday - their size is pretty impressive! I mean, I live in Berlin, Germany - not too many cows around to be used to their size, lol.

I use python ear tags for dogs ect. Tractor supply. Put them on a collar works for ticks fleas etc. Maybe ear tags for animals. Last for months
