Rest in peace to one of the greatest to ever get in front of a mic. One of the GOATs.
Every time Ken was on a broadcast, it made you sit up in your chair and watch every lap because he made every lap important.
Agree 💯 Also a lot like Art Eckman with Supercross/ motocross
Ken was the one who helped all drivers and races to have their own unique personality, Rest in peace. 🕊️

And thank you for everything.
For me, in the 70s and 80s, Ken was the voice of NASCAR. We thank you, Ken, and your family for letting us have you all of these years. You could always tell he loved this sport and carried it with such respect.
RIP to a Legend 🙏🏾🙏🏾

May he rest in peace 😢
Rest Easy Ken, thank you for Putting NASCAR on the Map and thanks for having a Wide array of Words and Terms when Calling Races
An incredible talent. Simply worldclass. The Jim Ross of NASCAR.
Rest in peace Ken, you were the best
The voice of my youth, the man with a legacy that will live on.
R.i.p ken, my condolences to the entire family...
Barney Hall said it best. He taught me not to scream into the mike when something happens like Dale Jr. and Jeff Burton. They should watch and learn from a real broadcaster. He was the best.
Ken Squier is one of the reasons NASCAR racing became a sensation. He was the first to make the Daytona 500 great, along with CBS. Squier is gone and so is NASCAR. Totally different today than it was when racers were allowed to race. Very little meddling with the cars or the teams. Rest in peace Ken. Thanks.
Remember exactly where I was for that 1st broadcast on CBS in 79, couldn't believe we were seeing a stock car race live, Ken made it happen
That race at Daytona was amazing, as well as every other race he broadcasted
RIP Ken Squier. Your iconic voice, your iconic calls and those you have mentored and developed into amazing announcers will never be forgotten. I guess there is one hell of a race up there that you must call with your former colleague Barney Hall that you have been taken from this earth. You will be heavily missed by the close friends and family, along with the NASCAR community. With heavy hearts, we bid you farewell Ken, till we get hear your voice again one day…
This makes me very sad. All the folks I grew up with are gone...
Rest in peace, Ken. You are a true legend. 😢
Enjoyed listening to you call the races, you had such a smooth and calm voice!
RIP Mr Squire 🙏😥💔
Godspeed, Ken Squier. Your voice will echo within our memories forever.

Rip ken you were a big part of my childhood 😢
On paper, 88 seems to be a ripe old age. In reality, it's always too soon for the beloved. May your soul rest peacefully, Mr. Squier, and prayers of peace and comfort to your family, friends and colleagues.
RIP Ken, all of us are going to miss you. You may be gone but will never be forgotten.
The man who created the great American Race

First time I've seen him with Ned and Dale Jarrett in 2015-17 for the throwback race in Darlington. Rest In Peace Ken, and thanks for the memories.
The best voice Nascar ever had. The racing world, the broadcast world, the fans, the drivers and so many others who have been impacted by Mr. Squier will never forget his epic calls of so many races throughout his time in the broadcast booth. How can anyone ever match what he has done for this sport. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will always be in my fond racing memories. no technically what it is 2day is garbage.what it was was gold.r.i.p ken squire
RIP Ken, we all will miss you
RIP Squier you along with Jenkins always will be the voice of Winston Cup....you are missed.
Ken had a way of speaking that was almost like poetry. NASCAR is naturally such a dramatic sport. It's a highly dangerous sport, with unrivaled scope. The facilities are miles long, the speeds are over 200mph. Smoke and fire and roaring engines. Ken Squier verbally captured the poetry of NASCAR every broadcast. RIP to a true great.
RIP Ken. Wish you didn't have to leave this world just yet, but we are looking forward to watching any documentaries about you.
You have won the race ken........R.I.P.
😭😭😭 He definitely will be missed.
The greatest voice in motor racing history, I loved to listen to him call the races.
Rip too one of best ever thank you Ken squier
No matter what series. No matter what rack, no matter if it was NASCAR at Daytona, Indycar at Detroit or Nazareth, or even NHRA, Ken made it absoluely mus see event. He called some of the wildest moments, but was himself through and through
What a voice! This guy WAS racing during a golden era.
The voice of NASCAR. Legend. Thank you and rest in peace Mr. Squier ❤🙏🏁
RIP Ken, loved listening to you, you will be missed!!
What a man. What a LEGEND.
RIP🙏
Rest in peace. Legend
One of the true legends of NASCAR. RIP Ken Squire
We lpst one of the best ever, enjoyed watching every broadcast and his enthusiasm and emotion. RIP Ken, you are a legend
This gentleman’s voice was all over my childhood…..From calling the first race i ever saw to being in the movies i watched (Stroker Ace and RAD) this is truly sad day
The best hands down. Rip sir.
I remember the first time I heard the name, the first NASCAR race I ever saw, the 1998 Daytona 500, was when Mike Joy handed it down to “the man who brought the Daytona 500 to CBS, Ken Squier,” as he proceeded to interview Dale Earnhardt when he won his first and only 500. I was 14 at the time and that was my introduction to NASCAR. In the years that followed, I took it upon myself to learning more about NASCAR and the rich tradition and historic moments that led the sport to what it is today, and I learned a lot from watching Ken and his colleagues in many archived videos. I don’t claim to be a huge NASCAR fan, but what knowledge I’ve acquired to enjoy the races I still watch today, particularly the 500, I owe to one of the true storytellers of the sport, Mr. Ken Squier. RIP, sir, and thank you.
RIP Ken, thanks for all the great coverage.
Such a Legendary name in motorsports and broadcasting. Ken will be missed by many, myself included. RIP 🙏
To the man who made us really believe in NASCAR...on the day when everybody was snowed in back in 1979, never knowing that staying home on Sunday became forever...a blessing.
Thank you & Godspeed, Ken Squier. You've earned your place...where only the stars are higher.
Checkered Flag Waves For You!!!
🏎🏁
R.I.P. Ken. You will be missed by all
Ken, thanks for the memories.
I loved listening to that great man broadcast a race. He will be missed.
He is a legend in his own right. He will never be forgotten. R.I.P Ken. Say hello to to Barney Hall, Dale, Davey, Adam, Kenny Rodney, Neil, Tim, Benny, JD., Alan and may others who have passed away.
Thank you Ken for painting a picture so alluring for me as a child, that I have now had a 26 year career in the sport
A true motorsport legend! Rest in peace.
Thanks for being a part of my childhood listening to you call the races. You will be missed. Fly high Ken Squier!
RIP the voice of nascar for so many years so many memories thank you sir!
Love you Ken❣️ I so miss all the broadcasters of classic NASCAR. Thanks for being a major part of my life and love for auto racing as a young kid grown now and can still hear y'all's voices when I watch❤
RIP - He introduced me to racing. True professional.
NASCAR Royalty. There will NEVER be another like him.
Rip sir. Thanks for helping us LOVE RACING as much as you did!!!!!
RIP Ken Squier. Loved your bit part on Stroker Ace! My dad was a sprint car and stock car mechanic back in the '50's through the '70's so I was exposed to NASCAR at an early age. (Winston West) Ken Squier was around for a long time. Godspeed.
RIP Legend. Another voice from my childhood, gone, but he will never be forgotten. He did so much for this sport. So grateful. Always respected him.
Thank you, Mr. Squire. For everything.
Ken's voice was THE BEST for watching a race on TV - he brought so much DRAMA to the event but IN THE RIGHT WAY, so that you were forced to pay attention and get excited about the thrills, danger, skills, passions, and risks involved - exactly the things that motorsports fans are drawn to... RIP Ken you were one of a kind and thanks for setting the bar so high. At least a decent portion of the credit for the explosion of NASCAR's popularity late 80's into early 90's must be attributed to you 🏁
The greats are gone
But will not be forgotten
RIP Ken Squire
So many nascar races brought to life over my tv by your tremendous talent.
Ken Squire and Vin Scully were such a part of my childhood. Both lived long and productive and meaningful lives. We should all be so blessed.
What a great man, and boy do we miss you Ken. RIP
This was the true Nascar we all appreciate. Ken made sure of it. The races today doesn't measure up to what was made in those days. RIP ,you will be missed.
