The fact that Cortex is the one who created Crash adds a great layer of meta-commentary to this. We live in a society.

The production value of these animations all for an Alex Jones bit, perfectly captures the top tier content this is!

Just the fact that he uses one musical sting from the original Cortex theme and it cuts off to do Alex Jones for the rest of the video.

Fun Fact: N. Brio is actually the producer for Neo News
[𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐱 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 + 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬]
-N' Gin works on the show's lighting. The first person that Neo Cortex convinced to join the stage crew for the show. Obviously it was pretty easy to recruit him given his devotion to Cortex like the weird Hunchback of Notre-Dame creature he is, though it was found pretty difficult to find a proper job for him given all of the many contraptions he fought Crash with were made by the many Lab Assistants that Cortex either hired or kidnapped. N-Gin didn't really have a lot of knowledge of anything other than destructive weaponry, so to give him at least a role in the show, Cortex appointed N-Gin the role of Lighting Maintenance Guy. A job so simple I'm pretty sure it's illegal.
-Tiny Tiger runs the camera in the back. Originally going to be the bouncer for Neo Cortex's Castle, Tiny Tiger was instead tasked with managing the camera work for the show. It's a bit obvious that he's a newbie at the job since he doesn't know how to move the camera to any spot other than the desk, which forces Cortex to host the show primarily at his desk.
-Pinstripe secretly funds the show with counterfeit money. Of course, a gangster potoroo has to have some money in his safe, and in this case, that money ended up in the hands of Cortex. Originally against the idea, since he blamed Cortex for his previous defeat against Crash, Cortex struck a deal with Pinstripe, granting Pinstripe partial ownership of the show's revenue on one condition only if he could help manage the show's funding via counterfeit money. Pinstripe, blinded by easy riches, decided to help Cortex and is now funding a significant portion of the show with money that's probably illegal in multiple countries.
-Papu Papu is the only viewer to watch the show in the Wumpa Islands. Originally against the idea of free television because it's Papu Papu, he eventually gave in and watches the show every week. Either by choice or by force, we may never know.
-Ripper Roo is the show's technician, but ends up causing an explosion by the end of the show. Original gonna be the mascot for the show because N-Gin thought the show needed a mascot, Cortex instead suggested giving Ripper Roo the role of technician. Dingodile (will be mentioned later) hated the idea, finding it to be a stupid choice since Ripper Roo only had his feet to use, and seeing how being a technician involves using your hands, he found the idea to be dumb and a waste of potential for himself. Cortex, however didn't care cause he found more use in Ripper Roo than in Dingodile, and put Ripper Roo as the technician cause he thought it would be a perfect role for him. Though because of the explosions after every show taping, he's been slowly contemplating the idea of replacing Ripper Roo with Dingodile.
-Dingodile works as the show's editor, a bit furious that he couldn't get the technician job. Cortex found him unfit for the job when Dingodile first brought up the idea, seeing him more for his flamethrower collection and him being Australian than his knowledge on tech behind the scenes.
-Koala Kong runs a gym that gains him enough money to donate to the show's funding, chipping of more than half of his monthly earnings.
-Crunch unwillingly works as the show's security, since a lot of people are probably banging down the show's door as we speak.
-The Komodo Bros work as janitors for the show since Cortex couldn't find a good spot for them since the rest of the spots were taken.
Edit: Here's some late additions for ya cause why not?
-Uka-Uka is the Co-Host for the show, with Neo Cortex obviously being the main host for the show.
-Oxide is the show's satellite maintenance guy. Since he's the only one out of the bunch of has at least a sliver of knowledge when it comes to anything space related, Cortex tasked him with signalling the show to other channels across the world. Unfortunately every time he attempts to do so, he ends up signalling the show to random locations every time he does it, making viewership incredibly all over the place.
-N-Brio is the show's money manager. Cortex originally was gonna have Pinstripe be the manager for the show's money, however, seeing how he believed N-Brio to be a lazy sack of wumpa fruits, he tasked N-Brio to handle the show's money out of spite.
-Dr. N-Tropy is the show's schedule manager. Given it's the only role in the show to make sure everything is up to snuff on time, he tasked their universe's time-wizard to manage the schedules of every person there. N-Tropy, however, saw this role to be a waste of his own talents, and saw Cortex as a wreck less fool.
-Fake Crash is the show's artist. Originally mistaken for the actual Crash because Cortex has the visual perception of a cornflake, Fake Crash was tasked as the show's artist. Since Fake Crash was good at looking like a deformed Crash clone, maybe he could draw deformed Crash clones...right? Well yeah, actually! With his job being the only one to actually have some skill put into it, he gained praise for making Crash look like an absolute abomination. Being assigned as the show's employee of the month, to the dismay of the rest of the cast.
And Crunch is still in a tube.
@@GamingCreed47 don't forget ripper roo
@@GamingCreed47 What does Koala Kong do? Teleprompter?
The way you replicated the ps1 style, from the low poly, to the lighting to the lack of anti-aliasing is top notch. I can't stop watching this.
I wonder what program he used, surely not Blender?
I'm curious, what's aliasing and anti-so?
@@sanfordrussell8549 aliasing is the jagged edges around an object (e.g cortex’s model) and anti-aliasing is the smoothing of those jaggies
I think he uses blender for this because it is actually possible to do a ps1 layout in blender, look it up if you want
It makes it funnier knowing that Neo Cortex created Crash, makes it look like he's just making up bullshit to cover his ass lol
I know right! It's Genius. Adds so much nuance to this classic villain, and attitude to the game.
This looks insanely impressive and it could pass as a legit cutscene in a ps1 crash bandicoot game
Nah, it's too smooth.
@@notsocoolguy8492 I don't think so, a lot of PS1 games used mocap
@@zenksren8206 yeah, but the poly count is too high for a PS1 game, and the animation is noticeably smooth. This is like a modern game stylized as a retro game, if that makes sense.
200th like :)
@@notsocoolguy8492 it has actually far less antialiasing and polygons than rendered PS1 Crash Bandicoot 3 cutscenes lol but nice try
Neo Cortex sadly passed away after getting too close to a goblin's nest. May God bless his precious N.soul
That King Crimson FUUUUUUUUU pfp is so cursed. I love it.
Alex Jones is so fitting for Cortex
Honestly, I wish Alex Jones would've chosen voice acting as a career instead, because holy shit his voice is so good for this stuff.
Alex Jones would have been a great J Jonah Jameson, imo.
@@kirbyguy9376 I was just about to say that.
Too bad he has gone into a controversial path that made him infamous, but he has the same energy as J. Jonah Jameson.
He can do both.
Alex's demon voice is weirdly fitting for Uka Uka.
Does anyone else love that Cortex lets Uka Uka talk and politely nods at him this acknowledging the masks plan.
These crash animations are wild
TIL that VR sets can be used for mocap. This opens so many avenues that I can't wait to see more of this stuff.
fuck yeah man, thats hella impressive and the possibilities are insane
I actually love Cortex's crash 2 design on the ps1, he has strawberry red hair and I love it
I immediately lost it at "What do I do lord..." AHHH THIS IS GENIUS 🤣
Caphead
This feels like something Caddicarus would do.
I would love this guy to have cameo in one of his bandiconth vids now that you said that.
The first 3 seconds are like the best part of the entire thing "WHAT DO I DO, LORD."
I never knew I needed Cortex Jones. Now I need him more of him
All I'm saying is, I'd listen to a Cortex podcast.
First time seeing VR used as mocap. Works well. Very impressed.
Never seen this Easter egg in the original Crash 1 before.
That's because this is from crash 2
@@nintonintendo1 Indeed, by doing some specific steps (collecting all the gems and crystals, alongside having a 100% Crash 1 save on your memory card), this archived broadcast from Neo News plays on the Warp Room Hologram after the secret ending.
They turned all the frogs in toad village gay
This would've felt more believable if Uka Uka had his Warped, CTR or Bash model. Seeing a PS2 model of him really makes him stick out like a sore thumb around everything else.
Barring that minor immersion break (since it's just a brief cameo), it's absolutely brilliant. The mocap usage is very well done!
I didn’t pay enough attention to realize it was his Twinsanity model until I saw this comment and now I can’t unsee that. It’s definitely still a really good video though.
The part where he says "These are demons" is the best, the face he makes is perfect
this is very satisfying to watch, I especially like the dilating pupils at 0:08. the facial touches like that really sell the motion capture. 👍
Ooh Ooh Oooh!
How'd you manage to mocap into a space that looks so ps1 accurate? That's mad impressive
I can totally see cortex doing a talk show honestly, and ngl I would watch the hell out of it...
I love this already.
The PS1 style animations and such on Crash Bandicoot in general are stellar!
I wanna see more of these.
I love the detail of the ray gun moving when he slams the desk.
Oh wow, this is the most ambitious crossover I've ever seen. Crash Bandicoot and Alex Jones, wow, masterpiece.
The motion capture for Cortex in this is hypnotic, I don’t even play crash but this feels right
my first time watching this, i hadn't realized that Cortex's limbs were recorded via mocap. they look pretty consistent with how the face is moving
Not a vtuber fan and I'm not saying that this is a vtuber thing, but would definitely be interesting to see fluid game characters moving like this on a stream or something
It would take a loooooot of rigging.
This isn't VTuber content.
VTubers are 30yo japanese men hiding behind a facade of sexy anime women because they want to get donations, like OnlyFans girls do.
This is actually funny. Mimicking Cortex while playing Crash 4, especially if the steamer has a voice similar to Clancy Brown/Lex Lang's, could be genuinely amazing. Similarly, playing as any of the TF2 cast or other memeable characters like Senator Armstrong is actually good content if they are mimicked well.
@@tragedyplustime8271 Pretty sure you're wrong. VTubers get doxxed every once in a while and the only one who's turned out to be a guy wasn't even popular. Weebs are so odd that they've been doxxing or trying to leak info about their favorite creators, and everyone who has been revealed is a woman, except that one dude. It's hilarious to read about, they're so obsessed that they're just ripping into their favorite creators privacy. It's demented.
Armstrong is overused and TF2 is a dead game that's gotten less than 5 updates in about a decade.
@@tragedyplustime8271 1st sentence... And I do 90% agree with you, you saying that cortex isn't sexy?

Cortex definitely would deny all claims of making Crash Bandicoot by calling him a demon lmao
INSANELY good as always!! I'm loving the crash stuff :]
OH My GOD
insane. you captured the look of those janky ps1 cutscenes so well.
I was just typing a comment saying how expertly animated this was, only to be blessed with video of the motion cap method. This is outrageously well done. How were the facial/mouth animations/expressions done?
Wow, motion capture on a cartoon character that *doesn't* have the Mascot effect.
That's actually really impressive.
Smash Bandicoot be like:
Perfectly timed, around the time of Jones's trial
This is absolutely pure platinum crystal gem gold. You did a fantastic job dude.
I like the little detail of Cortex hitting the table top hard.
His head built like One of those Glasses that you get from Las Vegas With alcohol in it.
And soon after, the contents of Cortex's phone got accidentally sent to Crash's Lawyer and Cortex is in some pretty hot water now
That gesture at 0:19-0:20 when he says They're demons" is just chef's kiss 👌
Pure gold 👍
I'm late but I found this gem. GJ.
I love the little shrug he gives when he says “they’re demons”. Subtle but really funny
One detail that I love in this video is how reactive the ray gun is when Cortex slams his hands on the table multiple times. Something that subtle must've took a while to implement!
If J. Jonah Jameson became an evil scientist 😂
This has literally made me keel over laughing so much thank you
I never thought of it but Cortex does look the type to get really into conspiracy theories
this is honestly the best video you have made and the mo-cap for cortex was great
Crash just hanging out mid-level to watch this is the best part

OH that's how he gets really smooth animations
0:19 His face when he said, "They're demons."
Oh, my God... this is incredible.
The fact this was animated with a vr headset is incredible
The PS1 look makes it so much creepier.
This is the BEST thing I've ever seen. Omg, thank you for this. I never knew I needed Dr. Cortex as Alex Jones in my life before today.
Thanks for the side by side. Using a VR set for gesture capture is genius and relatively affordable.
Alex Jones voicing Cortex practically fits like a glove

This should be a series. I would watch weekly🫡😂😂😂🙌🏾
there is nothing I love more than mocap on low poly models
You ought to check out Koudelka on the PS1, all the in-game cutscenes were done with motion capture! It's pretty cool.
I have an inside joke with a friend that Crash is actually a sadistic unholy force upon Wumpa Island given how he coldly murders Cortex's lab assistants in Crash 1 to 3. Thank you for furthering my absurd theory!
Really awesome stuff, man! I really love the work you do.
Also, thank you for sharing how and what you use to make most of these. I do animation on another channel and was looking for a tool exactly like Gylcon3D!
Thanks for including the making of, this is a great video!
This was hysterical. Found it on twitter & cracked up so hard when crash was just staring at the TV 🤣
_"I don't want your opinions, I want pictures of Crash Bandicoot."_
Cortex pointing at Uka Uka with a early 3d game oven mitt of a hand with that just off-center stare and the rigidly expressive eyebrows are completely authentic. When he points down with two hands is a literal nostalgia trip in a motion. If you wanted to make it more authentic you could actually reduce the expressiveness of your motions and really separate your head and arm movements for peak "early 3d cutscene animation" feel. Cut the resolution and framerate and play it on a CRT (real or filter).
"They're apples, They're not what you think they are, They're apples, Crash Bandicoot on the Genesis told me so.............And Alex Jones"
Technology has advance so far that it can look as primitive as it could be
Reminds me of those two reporters from Ratchet Gladiators who did that to Ratchet and Clank, calling them monsters.
I need more of this in my life. EXACTLY THIS!
Never though I would see Alex Jones with mods lmao
Jesus christ dude, you absolutely nailed the look. Excellent work and incredible attention to detail!
wow, haha this looks so accurate to the original cutscenes.
Dude, this is absolutely astounding and hits me right in my childhood nostalgia. You're extremely talented yo!
You are just SO expressive with this. I love all the little motions and over-exaggerations that really bring it to life.
I would regularly watch a news network that broadcasts in this style 😊
This is amazing! The movement flowed so well, I didn’t even think it was mo-cap at first.
He's not nearly red enough to Alex Jones. But also, I wish this was the new version of that level.
