Killer job, the detail work especially catches the eye. The carbon mirrors, exquisite masking on the wheels, and perfect decal work. Looks like the real deal. Thanks for sharing your hard work as always

Man, this came out fantastic. Having the additional PE is a nice touch. Did you have to stance it as well or was that Aoshima's stock height? Really love the results.
Thank you Spencer, that's very appreciated ☺️ So glad you like my work and I agree, the PE set adds those little details that make a difference, like the disc brakes 👍🏼 the ride height is kit stock, unmodified. It sits quite low to be honest! Something I really like because usually it takes quite some time to lower a car to the desired height ☺️👍🏼
@@KarlScaleModeling I have found Aoshima is pretty good at having options for their ride height so you can build as high or as low as you like, they seem to understand a lot about the car culture in this regard. I wish other companies understood this more often. *cough round 2 cough* I wish Hobby Design was easier to get in Canada. Everything is import and when the PE and shipping ends up costing more than then kit, well it makes me cry.
Fully agree with you there Spencer, I love the flexibility Aoshima gives us modellers with their kits. For example, when I built the Toyota 86 I preferred the Aoshima vs Tamiya since it had the option to assemble it lowered.. while Tamiya only had stock option! Yes I can understand about the PE and detail up sets costs! We also have to pay quite high shipping costs + import charges.. so most of the times the cost ends up more than the kit itself 😏 trouble is, I still end up buying it just because I prefer having full details 😀👍🏼
Hello Ruwe, 2K primer has several advantages. Most important is that it creates a heavy duty coat between the plastic and the colour coat since it contains hardener. This means that if you apply a heavy wet colour coat, the primer will not haze and the plastic will not react because of the 2K coat. It also can withstand light sanding once dry, to have a perfectly smooth surface before the colours. With regular primer you have to be more careful as it's easier to sand through. Then there's the cost. A liter of it + hardener will last a very long time once you take good care of it, mine lasted 10 years + (I change the hardener every 3-4 years though). There are also disadvantages however, like taking more time to mix and you'll need to clean the airbrush well right after because of the hardener. But considering everything, I love it! Hope that helps! I did a review some years ago explaining the pros and cons of 2K clear. Have a look: ua-cam.com/video/SVbBodT0kwI/v-deo.html
