On the top connector of the catch can, can you run a splitter to both valve covers and then use the bottom connector as a drain off back to the engine? For instance my timing cover has two fittings on it for a twin turbo return line but I'm only running one turbo so I could run the drain off the catch can to the other one.
Hmmm. Really good idea! I never thought of that. But if the oil vapor has any fuel or condensation of any kind, you might not want to put that back in your engine. Interesting thought! I also have that same timing cover with one unused port. Don't 100% know...
You would want a inline filter for that of some sort you wouldn’t want dirt and sludge building up in your timing cover I thought of the same thing going into the oil pan extra drain port
Thanks. I used an AN to hose barb fitting and put a grommet in the PCV hole. So the covers are both drivers side covers with no oil fill hole. I have to pull out my barb fitting to add oil. Earl's Performance PCV Fittings for GM LS LS0038ERL. I appreciate the shout-out. I'll see if I have my receipt. Sorry about the time! On Graveyard shift! :(
Crap!! Watch my other video = LS Valve Covers for Catch Can lines....I put links to all of the stuff I used in the video description. Fittings came from Scramspeed.com or Summit.
@@BlitzMolinFab yeah, I found it online after asking you. I really like the direction you went on this so I'm going to be a copycat. Except that I'm using one of those oil cap to AN fitting adapters for the passenger side to make it easier to unscrew for oil changes.
@@catchkcsglide7945 Haa!! Not a problem. I do the same. I have two of them! Need one? Or two? I had set up two pass side covers with them until I went with the hose barb fittings. Let me know!! I'll give you a smoking deal on them..
The threaded oil cap to 10an fitting is only like $15 on Amazon.... but Amazon is out of the barbed PCV to 10an fitting for the driver side. So if you have 1 of those at good price then I'll be a player on that. 😎
What brand fittings and hose is this? Looks to be good quality? Would it be safe to run from a rear fuel cell under the car and connected to the frame rails? Great video. Thanks
Thanks sorry idk how I missed it right at the beginning of the video smh. But thanks again. I have the same catch can an it found away to ravel itself out 🤷🏽♂️
@@nathanielmackinnon6738 I'll see if I can find the valve I put on it. Here it is off Amazon. (EZ-110) Silver NPT 3/8-18 Thread Size Oil Drain Valve I also have the same one on my fuel tank drain. Maybe try some threadlocker on the drain threads..?
OR run a Large Bore (minimizing flow restrictions is V important... as is Individually venting each valve cover if you have a V engine)) hose... NOT some teeny 1/2" bore piece of Garden hose equivalent) from Breather Vent(s) to exit below the car. A catch can only collects the yuck oils and still vents the ugly gasses to atmosphere. Totally Messing emission anyways.. so why add damaging venting restrictions (there is No longer vacuum assist with that goofy catch can.) and complexity and yet another maintenance item. 🙂
Yeah I've wondered about that but don't plan on boosting that much. Maybe 6-8 pounds. It's just a fun little street car. No racing. If it blows out I'll change it. What do you suggest? One of those v-band style connectors?

Great video ‼️‼️
Thank you.
Awesome video and clean install. On the driver side valve cover, which fitting did you use?

Evil energy on Amazon
@@jamesburgan4448 awesome thanks
Yep, like James said, Evil Energy on Amazon.
Sorry ...Yes about fuel line question. I ran my supply and return lines like that.
Very clean setup. What are you using for a drain plug on your catch can?
I added a valve to the can with a lock on it. I think it's in the video. Have not hooked tubing or anything to it yet though. Thanks.

@@BlitzMolinFabok thanks a lot! I went to Home Depot and got myself a brass fitting and plug! I did use some thread locker as well thanks again.

You're heading for some trouble with that Elbow and clamp on the Throttle body with boost, sir.

Just bought mines for my Cadillac Escalade I paid 34 dollars on Amazon cam with everything it’s called evil energy
Yep. I think that's what mine is. I've also bought lots of AN fittings from Evil.
Did you hook it up yet to your Cadillac? If so how’s it working out and how often do you have to empty it?
Talk to much
Yeah I'm trying to get the hang of it... Haaa!!
