- This video shows our obstructed ocean view cabin on MSC Virtuosa. We found the cabin lacking in many areas including the bed, wardrobe space and access, no hot water, no where to sit in comfort. The price was good but there was more room in an inside cabin and a bigger bed.

Ken goes Cruising is a channel dedicated to sharing our experience of cruising. We have enjoyed 46 cruises since 1995. As well as sharing some factual and helpful information the idea behind this channel is to share our joy of cruising. My long suffering wife Lindsey is a very important part of our team. Since our retirement we had planned several bucket list cruises and so far we have only completed one of them. We have now started international cruising again and hope you will join us on our travels.
You can also find us on Instagram, Twitter & our Facebook page both entitled surprisingly

Not that I wear long dresses too oftem 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ said the nice gentleman
Thank you for the tour.
We were upgrated from a inside windowless stateroom to an OO room for this weekend so we will happily take the offer. It was a last minute so we could only apply for a stateroom. It was a surprise to get an OO. Though small we appreciate the daylight
@@OfficeV. I do play Dame in Pantomime which involves the odd dress.
Hello Ken and Lindsey 👋 many thanks for this video, as I mentioned on Facebook I love the Virtuosa but disappointed in this cabin. Thank you for this video - in future I think I’ll stick to deck 5!
We found the balcony better but there was one thing Lindsey didn't like about it.
We are going on the Virtuosa tomorrow! In this type of cabin! Not impressed!!!! Where is the mirror over the desk to do your hair? Really worried about this!! I spoke to my travel agent Cruise 1st who spoke to MSC but if we wanted to change the cabin it would cost us £200 for an upgrade!!!! We don't want an upgrade just a cabin that is fit for purpose!!! Thanks for your vlog and the heads up on how bad the cabin is!!!! Wish us luck ❤
@@JulieWest-b5s We booked this particular cabin on a guaranteed basis so did not choose it. We booked last minute as we were travelling with friends and it was only for 3 nights. Being on a cruise is always better than being at home I hope you have a lovely time.
Hello! Really useful thank you, we have the option to upgrade to this room type from an interior room for 60pp for 2 weeks, I am considering it. It looks smaller than an interior though 🤔 thanks again for uploading!
I believe it is smaller than many of the inside cabins
Thanks for the video would have liked it without the music.
Im pretty sure this room is classified as "junior" to begin with. They are great for my husband and I since we only pack what we can carry on.
Thanks Ian
Very informative video! The shower is much bigger than Oceania Regatta or Azamara Pursuit.
That's interesting we are currently on Oceania Riviera and you could have a party in this shower
@@KenGoesCruising Regatta and Pursuit are 'Renaissance' class ships Riviera is an 'O' class. A bigger ship and bigger bathrooms.
MSC.... Tried them once on Virtuosa. Once was enough. A long list of things that were inconsistent and just plain odd in order to extract more money from passengers. If I had to sum them up I would say "Smoke n Mirrors". Nothing is quite what you think it is from excursions to drink prices with 15% added "for your convenience" which no member of staff could explain what it was for. Nice shiny ships though but that's about it, dig beneath the surface and it's not great.
Thanks for watching Vik we have heard so many conflicting opinions on MSC we had to try it ourselves and make our own mind up
Have to disagree. I was onboard back in November and never experienced that
Always enjoyed your videos, but why, why, why have you gone on a MSC, I hope your holiday experience improves. Carry on cruising
Thanks Neil we thought we would try MSC and the opportunity arose to try with a group of friends. We did enjoy some aspects of MSC particularly the buffet which is most unusual for us.The friends we were travelling with made it a very enjoyable cruise. Next week vlog shows our balcony cabin that we had for the second 3 days. We are currently on Oceania so we are getting lots of different experiences
Hi, having friends along would definitely help smooth the experience! Oceania is one of the cruise lines I would like to try, so looking forward to your videos, thoughts and your experiences. Carry on cruising
@@neilmackenzie6436 Thanks Neil so far the experience is very different. Just going to the burger bar for a lobster and fillet mignon sandwich. Life is so hard!!!!!
That sounds alot more like how a cruise should be. I am looking forward to your video and thoughts on the Oceania cruise, as if you both like it we will be looking to book one of their cruises. Carry on cruising.
@@neilmackenzie6436 Cheers Neil
I guess we get what we pay for. The cabin does seem exceptionally small for a couple.
We were a little surprised after our previous cruise on P & O Aurora we were in an inside cabin that felt much nicer
@@KenGoesCruising I, a single, had a double inside cabin on Iona. There was only one chair and even that was none too comfy. I wondered where the other person was supposed to sit, apart from on the bed!
Pretty awful…..no chair?
MSC would not be for me.
Hi Kathy we did find it strange but next week we show our balcony cabin that we had for the next 3 days on board.
Not all the cabins are like this. I was on deck 5 and we had a lovely spacious cabin with a sofa and a nice porthole window to look out of
