Honestly my only concern is the drastic shift in shades of colour whenever you move your camera around or change the zoom. I noticed this problem in many OnePlus mid range phones , i wouldn't mind having only two cameras if they can allot budget to fix this.
This one’s gonna rock the Indian market, knowing the fact that 8 Gen 2 is an amazing chipset…
Cameras have no improvement. No IP rating. No wireless charging. No 4K in the front camera. UFS 3.1 for the base variant not UFS 4.0. Only the chipset has been upgraded. Rest all the specs are same as last year . Not even the design has been changed. Iqoo Neo 9 Pro will easily kill this phone.
8 gen 2 is definitely a great chip,powerful and power efficient

Hey thanks for doing a review of the 12R I've been trying to decide whether I want to pre-order one here in the States and nobody's even looking at this phone it's like all the reviewers think we all have eight or $900 to spend on a phone some of us don't want to do that or can't do that.

I feel like this is the sweet spot .. not as expensive as the 12 and decent enough on paper. Would love a comparison video with similarly priced Galaxy S series phones the Fan editions I guess or the regular S22, S23 and older non pro iPhones like the 13 and 14. Should we buy a new OnePlus or and older Galaxy/ iPhone is a usually asked question.
Id get a year or 2 old flagship for all they offer iPhones are freaking amazing they'll last 4ever & the cameras are sooooo damn good!!!!! Or get the 1+11 it's pretty good also.
I think as long as you're not camera centric this would be a great phone to get especially with that battery and the screen is nice and bright the only downside to this phone is it doesn't have The best cameras

I wish the Ultra wide was better with a basic telephoto but then no one would get the regular 12. I will probably spend a bit more and get the Hasselblad optics

@@shukoor26 Yes. I'm unable to find any unique selling point of 12R other than the fact that OnePlus has better resale value. Also, it would be wise to wait for what other brands do in this price segment and then decide.
No competitor offers a zoom lens at that price, so what you expect for 40,000 doesn't apply to the general population. People base their expectations with what the competition is offering.
@@Krooks522What's the use of a processor like 8 gen 2 that cannot be used to its fullest extent? There is a breakthrough in the competition only when a brand offers something that others cannot at that price point. 2024 will see many great camera phones and periscope/telephoto lenses will be at the forefront starting with Realme 12 pro/pro plus starting at 35k.

The one plus 12r is one pluses version of the Samsung galaxy s23 fe and it's going to be the same price especially in the UK no chance of getting it in the republic of Ireland so I'm going to wait for the nothing phone 2A

If your priority is gaming, get the IQOO 12. If you are not, save some money and get the 12r.

Just for an argument sake, If viewing the subject at extremely close distance (macro camera) is useless, then viewing the subject at extremely far distance (telephoto/zoom) is also useless..right?
its not that macros are useless.. the 2mp sensors brands provide are usually not very good... you can get comparable results when you use macro with the wideangle as sometimes done... so the 2mp macros are usually included only for the cosmetic/specsheet aspects

Iqoo 12 is competetor for OP 12 not the 12R. If your budget is around 55k wait for the OP 12 launch and then you can make up your mind.
@@divyajeevan69 wait for 12R price. It should be around 45k , or 5 k extra pay karke iqoo 12 achha hai. One plus 12 has many problems reported on internet. Fogging in camera and falty auto brightness sensor are few of them. Also camera quality noting spectacular.
