The psp is the best HANDHELD ever. The best console ever is by far the ps2. The ps2 has the biggest and by far most interesting library out of any home game console ever made. I still play some very underrated yet fun games.
Burnout Legends was pretty good, basically a portable version of Burnout 3: Takedown, but not as polished and smooth, and with the PSP's limited resolution, it was difficult to spot traffic on high speed burning laps. but other than that, it was good, but probably better to play on PPSSPP with atleast x2 render resolution. :)
Thanks Mark, over the past 6 years that I've been watching your review, I've bought a multitude of good games. I always watch your reviews and take your opinion into serious consideration when purchasing a game or a peripheral. Thanks again, and have a great morning/day/evening.
It's sad that there will probably never be a burnout game again. Most of the developers of this left criterion after EA made them make the NFS games and went to make forza horizon with the ex PGR and Dirt devs. The rest of criterion are making some new first person stunt racer game. So no more burnout it seems.. They don't make games like this anymore!
Kosmokat I've heard that there's a lot of ex criterion devs making it. A lot left to go to playground games and a lot went off to make their own studio to make a burnout successor.
I absolutely love the Burnout series especially Burnout 3 Takedown & Burnout Revenge. I loved Burnout Revenge so much that I bought it for the Xbox 360 although I already have it for the PS2. I do agree that this game works best on a big display vs. the PSP's much smaller screen because seeing everything on the screen becomes much easier. That aside Burnout Legends looks good on the PSP. You have many tracks, cars, races and the insane sense of speed. Great review Mark & keep up the solid work.
For the dust in the umd use a can of air and if its a lil hard use the tip of ur finger in the middle of the umd and spin it clockwise or counter and gently wipe when exposed. I even dust used 3ds games.
I swear, Mark is basically the Ryan Haywood (From rooster teeth) of game reviews. Not only does Mark sound almost identical to Ryan but he has the same psychopath tendencies that make him very likable.
I felt the same. I was really motivated for the Vita and it still hasn't a game that stands out. We can just hope for bigger releases. I mean, the PSP didn't had a lot of games in 2005.
Because Burnout Dominator was a PS2 exclusive I think. As for Legends I highly doubt they will make this game again for the Vita unless they port it from the PSP without and updates to the visuals.
I LOVE this game, but I have a problem with one small thing. Sometimes your car actually crashes during the takedown scene. Sometimes immediately after the takedown scene, you may also crash into traffic. This problem gets fixed in Dominator, but my preference is still Legends =) (AI in Legends were challenging while AI in Dominator were too easy is one reason)
all psp can play psp games. 1000, 2000, 3000 and e1000 can play any. e1000 cannot play psn games because it has no walan or wifi. the psp go can only play downloaded games, not umds.
I would instantly purchase this game if only it had traffic checking, what can I say, Burnout: Revenge is my favorite entry in the series and one of my top ten favorite games of all time.
Ahh. Sorry if I misunderstood your remarks :( I played NFS since the second game and as for takedown, it was possible to temporarily immobilize opponents in NFS II although it wasn't much of a game mechanic. Apologies for misunderstanding again.
A developer could potentially make a killer app for the Vita, but they're probably reluctant to do so because they feel it won't sell too well since the Vita itself hasn't sold all that well, either. Not many devs can afford to take that kind of risk these days. They gotta go where the money is. But I'm not gonna count the Vita out just yet. It'll get the gaming library it deserves soon enough. :)
One day, in the years to come, mark and his follow CGR friends have reviewed ever single video game on earth, when that day comes, it will be time to goto MARS.
yeah i got this 2 years ago new at GS for 10. And crisis core for 10 new still unopened. Im a proud owner of FF7 PC copy i got for 15 from a fellow hs student back in 99.
You weren't, I honestly haven't played the NFS series in some time, I meant to go back but I found burnout and it was love at first sight. I only played a bit of the new Hot Pursuit but I aim to play more. The arcade-y super fast racers are the most fun to me haha :)
I haven't played Need for Speed since the original Hot Pursuit for PSOne...when that was new. I don't recall being able to strike other racers I recall they would be immovable, though that could be how it was in Test Drive 5 for PSOne. Either way the new NFS:HP is pretty badass regardless.
If I find this for the PSP or even the DS in one of my many swapmeet trips, I'll buy it. I love me some Burnout. :D I also have an Xbox, and it's available on that. And I think the GameCube, and we have a backwards compatible Wii. And a PS2. Gaming life is good and ready for Burnout in my life, is what I'm saying. :D
Believe it or not that happened to me too haha. I was pissed. Especially since I was a good 75% through Dante's Inferno. I had to start everything all over again.
I agree. It's the best handheld console ever in my opinion. I still play my PSP much, much, muchhhhhhh more than I play my PS Vita. I don't like the PS Vita very much.
also burnout 3 and revenge are the best burnout games out there, burnout paradise was nice BUT it was very confusing to navigate around the city(espacialy with that map).
no, it's available fo ds store, and most psp games are playable on the Vita already, but not either burnout yet. it wouldn't be a port, sony just needs to write an emulator for them.
Oh how I loved this game. I remember I didnt have the money for it (I was in 7th grade) and I went through hell to hack my psp because I stupidly updated it to 6.xx (unhackable for MONTHS). Man when I hacked it and got this game I was the happiest kid alive lol.
something about this game screams "Sega Dreamcast!" not sure why but i think this is TOTALLY the kind of game that would play well on the dreamcast and with the dreamcast controller.
I have no idea whether you played the classic NFS games(NOT Underground or Most Wanted) or not, but I can't agree with your words on NFS HP2010. Yes they do have some elements from Burnout, but most of the features in it were taken from the classic NFS games(incl. Takedown although it didn't have a name in the classic games).

StupidWolf been recently playing at 5x resolution and it looks just as good as burnout 3 plus has the awesome tracks from burnout 2.
Burnout 3 was my first video game. It will always be my favorite. It's the reason why my PS2 is my favorite above the PC and PS3.
I've always said. If the cars in the burnout games could talk...They would scream!
Thanks Mark, over the past 6 years that I've been watching your review, I've bought a multitude of good games. I always watch your reviews and take your opinion into serious consideration when purchasing a game or a peripheral. Thanks again, and have a great morning/day/evening.
Burnout 3, with Burnout 2 & 3 cars, with Burnout Revenge's soundtrack, all on the go! This has got to be the best Burnout game!
Screaming and Salsa xD
The music is amazing!
the crashes is much better than the Dominator on PSP
It's sad that there will probably never be a burnout game again. Most of the developers of this left criterion after EA made them make the NFS games and went to make forza horizon with the ex PGR and Dirt devs. The rest of criterion are making some new first person stunt racer game.

spurs4lyf2006 Wait for games-com this year. :)
Good News! The original Burnout devs (1,2,3 and Revenge) are making a spiritual successor to the franchise, Burnout in all but name
Kosmokat I know I've heard! Looks like there was still some of the good guys from criterion after all
spurs4lyf2006 well the new game actually has nothing to do with criterion.
Kosmokat I've heard that there's a lot of ex criterion devs making it. A lot left to go to playground games and a lot went off to make their own studio to make a burnout successor.
Burnout 2 was my favorite really great tracks and loads of adrenaline.
This is one of the best games on PSP.
But Salsa music while playing Burnout Legends? Naaah! It needs fast-paced music.
!Welcome to classic game room im here from the intergalatic space room!! Love this line
I absolutely love the Burnout series especially Burnout 3 Takedown & Burnout Revenge. I loved Burnout Revenge so much that I bought it for the Xbox 360 although I already have it for the PS2. +MegaDrainProductions But does he have an Edgar hole? That's the real question.
+EatGameSleep he should start wearing a crown lol
John Gough and a duck mask.
do you make money in this version as in burnout revenge?
Nice video! What camera do you use?
I felt the same. I was really motivated for the Vita and it still hasn't a game that stands out. We can just hope for bigger releases. I mean, the PSP didn't had a lot of games in 2005.

You can always get custom firmware for your psp and download the iSO from the internet.
One of the first PSP games I got and it's still one of the best even at the end of it's life cycle.
Best intro on the net, I get happy everytime I hear your theme song!
Great review I love my psp. Good to see a poster on the wall now, and is that a sega Saturn Arcade wheel poking its head out in the back ground?
Man... Me and my boys would play this way back. When we crashed the car we had to pass the psp and hit a blunt. Ahh memories...
i got this new at gamestop 2 years ago. it was still in the wrapping
Whats with the sega saturn racing wheel in the back
Mark, how do you like the soundtrack of burnout revenge but not of legends? its the same
I was a bit skeptical about the screaming and salsa thing, but then. . . I heard it.
Mark is truly the chosen one.
has Mark reviewed F15 Strike Eagle 2 yet for Genesis? I'll send it if he hasn't, I'm just too lazy to check lolz
You guys have a vid showing your entire game collection?
salsa and screams should be a must combination for any game.
This was actually a really good Burnout game. I played it on my psp on all my long trips.
I still have the demo of Burnout 3 on my NFSU2 Disc. So much fun to play :P
What psp do you need to play games that say psp in black or greatest hits any of the 1000,2000,3000, or psp go or a specific one please help!!!!!!!
all psp can play psp games. 1000, 2000, 3000 and e1000 can play any. e1000 cannot play psn games because it has no walan or wifi. the psp go can only play downloaded games, not umds.
ok thanks
to play burnout legends and dominator what psp do you need 1000,2000, or 3000? please help!!
All of them work with it
Burnout Paradise is my favourite Burnout, but this is pretty good for a portable version.
Probably never played revenge then
Burnout is my favorite game series of all time!
One of my favourite racing games
Oh man, I wish this game would work on PSVita! It was so much fun!
The rating system (thumbs up/down) isn't for the game, but the video itself. Mark didn't do a good enough job with this review?
I would instantly purchase this game if only it had traffic checking, what can I say, Burnout: Revenge is my favorite entry in the series and one of my top ten favorite games of all time.

Wasn't this reviewed already? Remember Mark reviewing this before...
Or can I see into the future or something?
Intro song gives me nostalgia chills
burnout paradise is one of my favorite racing games on the ps3
my favorite childhood game on the psp next to nfs carbon own the city.
lord k you Should do a review on burnout dominator psp
I was hoping you would of used impact time eventually.

One day, in the years to come, mark and his follow CGR friends have reviewed ever single video game on earth, when that day comes, it will be time to goto MARS.
I've spent over 200 hours on Burnout Paradise so I do love it but I wish they would go back to this style
yeah i got this 2 years ago new at GS for 10. And crisis core for 10 new still unopened. Im a proud owner of FF7 PC copy i got for 15 from a fellow hs student back in 99.
Is there burnout hd collection ?
One of my favorite PSP games ever!
Using Tropico 4 music? THATS AN EPIC WIN
My most favorite PSP game ever!
I played this game so much
I thought you reviewed burnout legends or was it the other PSP burnout game
Can you get this game on the PS Vita (PSP Games)?
I wish the PS2/Xbox Burnouts got an HD release. Especially now that Criterion isn't making more racing games...
Mark, you should review some beers.
You weren't, I honestly haven't played the NFS series in some time, I meant to go back but I found burnout and it was love at first sight. I only played a bit of the new Hot Pursuit but I aim to play more. The arcade-y super fast racers are the most fun to me haha :)

No way, just bought this game today, come home to watch this review. CGR are clearly aliens.
If I find this for the PSP or even the DS in one of my many swapmeet trips, I'll buy it. I love me some Burnout. :D
I also have an Xbox, and it's available on that. And I think the GameCube, and we have a backwards compatible Wii. And a PS2. Gaming life is good and ready for Burnout in my life, is what I'm saying. :D
This was my favourite game back then. Sadly, the UMD broke.
You should have been the lead designer for the burnout sound trrack- the 2 S's. Salsa and screaming
legends or dominator? and why?
Believe it or not that happened to me too haha. I was pissed. Especially since I was a good 75% through Dante's Inferno. I had to start everything all over again.
What about Burnout Dominator?
What Burnout Legends has:
Physics from Burnout 3
Gamplay from Burnout 2 and 3
Tracks and Cars from Burnout 1-3
They need to make a burnout 3 HD
I agree. It's the best handheld console ever in my opinion. I still play my PSP much, much, muchhhhhhh more than I play my PS Vita. I don't like the PS Vita very much.
No Wilhelm scream! Missed a trick there Mark :D
also burnout 3 and revenge are the best burnout games out there, burnout paradise was nice BUT it was very confusing to navigate around the city(espacialy with that map).
it was in the last few episodes
I agree with porting all games to PS3 i love all of them never played paradise though
no, it's available fo ds store, and most psp games are playable on the Vita already, but not either burnout yet. it wouldn't be a port, sony just needs to write an emulator for them.
Oh how I loved this game. I remember I didnt have the money for it (I was in 7th grade) and I went through hell to hack my psp because I stupidly updated it to 6.xx (unhackable for MONTHS). Man when I hacked it and got this game I was the happiest kid alive lol.
Please review Burnout for GameCube
this was my favourite burnout game =) also "red flag" from billy talent was on this game, back in the day when nobody knew who billy talent is xD
CGR at its finest like a good wine.
My Favourite Burnout on PSP.
Screams and Salsa are frickin' awesome.
I lol'd hard about the salsa part, was that really in-game music?
something about this game screams "Sega Dreamcast!" not sure why but i think this is TOTALLY the kind of game that would play well on the dreamcast and with the dreamcast controller.
review the NDS version
One of the best racing games for PSP!
I love this game. Yellowcard is on the soundtrack!
Hands down my favourite psp game
I like the new hair style :)
I miss the old burnout days
It's actually held together by the power of Vectrexes and Genisis controllers.
I hope you have fun with it :)
Great review!
Burnout Vita MUST happen.
Violent games should always have salsa music in them
