Happy to hear that my thinking-out-loud is useful - and I love that you're in conversation with that thinking.Thank you so much for all your lovely comments.
Oh boy... back and forth and back and forth! Sometimes I have to just go away for an hour, or a day, or a week, but I just took the leap this time. And the darker versions of the houses will get to come out and play another time (as will the screwheads from the end!). Thank you so much for laughing along with my indecisive moments, and for your company on this creative journey.
This video was lovely from beginning to end! I love that you never say, “ oh, that’s a mistake”, rather that you see everything as an art opportunity! The finished ATC’s are beautiful!
Exactly right... there is no "wrong"! No mistakes, only happy accidents full of possibility. I'm really happy that you enjoyed today's episode so much. Thank you for your lovely comment which has put a big smile on my face.
So many gorgeous layers and they turned out adorable. Who else ran out to put little wooden houses in their cart? Hopefully we'll see a video using the glass bobble. Thank you Allison...gorgeous!❤
There already is a video with the glass pebbles - Tag Time from about ten days ago... hang on, I'll grab the link for you: ua-cam.com/video/dgD-JT27kFo/v-deo.html Hope you enjoy it! Very happy you enjoyed today's episode, and yes, I'm guessing there might be a run on little wooden houses worldwide 😉🤣Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment, which put a big smile on my face.
@stephanieedgerton2842 Very happy you enjoyed it. The Tim Holtz tissue paper is fairly widely available from online craft retailers. Since I don't know where you're based, I can't be more specific. If you just google for "Tim Holtz idea-ology Palette Collage Paper TH94312" - as listed in the video description - or some variation of those words, you should get results showing you stockists somewhere near you. Hope that helps. @ Offhand, I would think it's worth trying Country View Crafts, Stampers Grove, Art from the Heart, Artistic Stamper... I'm guessing others too will have it.
Love, love, love these! I have a habit of picking up those little mdf shapes and never considered embossing them. So pretty and a stunning idea. Thanks kindly for sharing Alison. Great ideas. ❤️🇨🇦
The houses look so good with the enamelled effect - a proper transformation! Well worth getting the embossing powders out for! Very happy you enjoyed today's playtime. Thank you, as always, for your company and comments.
Oh good... I'm glad your creative urges coincided with mine this time around! Very happy you enjoyed today's episode - thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
These are so beautiful. I really love miniature compositions and the little houses are adorable. It is great when you fiddle with options and think out loud. It's really helpful to see your thoughts as you work through rather than just step by step to a preplanned finish. Thank you 💙
Oh, thank you for that lovely, thoughtful comment. I'm so pleased to hear that those thinking-out-loud moments are helpful. It's part of my creative process (though I don't do it out loud when the camera isn't on ... at least I don't think I do!), and I want to share the real journey. I generally have an idea of the sort of things I'd like to play with, and I feel what kinds of colours I'm drawn to on any given day, but beyond that I try genuinely to play, so that if a project takes an unexpected turn, I can stay open to that. It's that state of flow, being in the creative moment, which is the real joy for me, regardless of the end result. (Though more often than not, if I can find flow, I will probably enjoy the end result too.) Thank you so much for your company on this creative journey. Happy weekend to you.
Thank you for taking us along for your play time. These are so beautiful. I want to live in a crackle world 😆. My son just brought me some alder cones.
Oh, good work by your son - the alder cones will be a perfect fit in your crackle world!! Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment which has put a big smile on my face.
Thank you so much... yes, I love tissue paper over crackle (there's another video of that from last summer - ua-cam.com/video/5mXswUtDO3I/v-deo.html - in case you're interested). Very happy you enjoyed today's playtime.
That's brilliant to hear - I hope you'll have lots of ATC fun! Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment which has put a big smile on my face.
Thank you very much for sharing how your brain decides which lovely or more lovely composition to create. 🙏 These little houses in the woods make me dream and I just want to go back to where I have been lately 😍👏🤗
I'm so pleased to hear that my musings-out-loud are of interest... There's something about a little wooden cottage in the woods, isn't there? The urge to hide out from the busy-ness of urban life and reconnect with nature. Hope you soon get a chance to revisit wherever you've been lately. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much for that lovely comment. Yes, I do enjoy working in pairs and trios and sets... there's something about the balancing act that works for me somewhere in my soul. Happy Sunday to you.
I have never made ATC's before ( daft I know) but seeing the whole process of how you got there has been wonderful, every bit of the journey has so inspired me, I love your work Alison ❤... Thanks for your never-ending inspiration. Happy Sunday 😊
I used to make them a lot (in fact, I was on an ATC challenge design team for a number of years, so at the very least once a week - I'd almost forgotten that!), and now whenever I do, I wonder why I don't do it more often! Hope you'll have some tiny playtime soon. Thanks so much for your company and your always lovely comments.
I enjoyed watching you play today, Alison. Ordered myself some of the ideology screw heads. They are quite perfect for some projects. Thanks so much for another few minutes of delightful fun.
Oh, aren't those screwheads gorgeous? They'll definitely make the cut another time, but there was just something about the frosty gleam of the pearls which gave them the edge on this particular day. Delighted you enjoyed today's playtime. Thank you so much, as always, for your lovely comments.
So happy to hear you are inspired - I hope you'll have a few minutes of creative fun of your very own soon. Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment.
So pleased you are inspired to have a bit of ATC playtime. And yes, the wintry gleam of the pearls was the right choice for this particular day... the screw heads will get to come out and play another time! Thank you so much for your company and comments.
Oh my gosh! 🥰 Love everything about these ATC’s. I fell for little houses too recently, don't have these darn cute wooden ones, but purchased some dies. If I stuck 3 or four on top of each other, they could be used in the same way for sure. Thanks for sharing so much magical inspiration Alison! Kindest greetings from Belgium.
Yes, you can certainly build up dimensional houses by layering your die-cuts - and you'll be able to create a really "solid" and special looking embellishment with embossing powders (of whatever kind - doesn't have to be the Distress Glazes). I'm so happy you enjoyed today's playtime, Hilde - thanks so much for your company and lovely comment.
The embossing powders really transform those little wooden shapes - something I'll definitely be doing again! Hope you can track down some houses. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
I really enjoyed watching you make these. Such a great idea! I had to go to Amazon to see if I could find those little houses. I did find them, and they are one the way! I’m so excited and inspired to make these. ❤️ thank you for sharing your talents.
I'm pleased you found some, and I'm sure you'll have fun playing with them when they arrive. Delighted you enjoyed today's playtime - thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Oh, that is great to hear - welcome on board! I hope you'll enjoy exploring further on the channel. Thanks so much for watching, commenting and subscribing.
Oh Alison, I'm so relaxed now and at the same time so motivated to try it right away, but I'll do it tomorrow in daylight. Thank you so much for this great inspiration, I really enjoyed it 🙏🤗👍🫶
I far prefer playing in daylight if at all possible... It's funny - when I first started crafting, I did a lot of middle-of-the-night playing, when an idea would hit me and I would just have to try it RIGHT AWAY! These days I don't really enjoy working by artificial light - which makes the crafting day pretty short at this time of year! So have a lovely playtime tomorrow... happy Sunday to you.
@w0rdsandp1ctures I need to craft at night as well as day so I recently purchased an architect desk lamp which has several brightness settings....highly recommend for anytime crafting!
@@melodine707 I've been looking at artist and architect daylight lamps for quite a while... but it's an investment, and there are so many different options that I always end up getting overwhelmed by the choice. If you're happy with yours, do you mind letting me know what make it is? I'd be interested to know.
@@w0rdsandp1ctures Sorry, did my link not go through?? Google this in Amz. "Micomlan Architect Desk Lamp with Atmosphere Lighting, Adjustable Led Desk Light "
So very pretty! Of course the houses would have been amazing in red….lolllll. Just kidding…love speckled egg! You process much quicker than I do…it takes me days! ❤
For once, I can see how the red could have looked great... but it would have made the ATCs rather festive, and I'm trying to move on! Though it's definitely still winter here, of course... Some days are quicker than others on the decision front. Sometimes, I'll stop and go away for an hour, or a day, or a week, before working out what I want to do next! Happy you enjoyed today's episode, thank you. I'm off to check out the link I can see you've added below. Have a great weekend.
What a beautiful wintry colour palette you used for these ATCs. I have got some crackle paste but haven't yet used it. (So many projects in my head...) As you know, I so enjoy watching your process and seeing how the layers bring it all to life. Thank you for another inspiring video - it's always lovely to spend time with you.
Oh, thank you for another lovely comment, Ellie. I think you should go and spread some crackle paste on something right now! It'll take time to crackle, but then you'll have it ready to play with whenever you have some time. Otherwise, there's always a hold up when inspiration strikes! I was so happy to have that other ATC ready-crackled this morning when I had an idea for it (the one I did at the beginning as an example before moving on to the two that were already crackled and dry). Have a lovely weekend, whether you crackle or not!
Ooh, that sounds really cool - and a little bit eerie! I also enjoy gluing them to book page backgrounds, so that the book text shows through (and on the Tag Time trio from nine days ago I had a lovely time positioning them so that the background stamping got highlighted - highlit?). Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment - and for accepting my embellishment-chatter!
Yes, that wintry gleam was the right way to go on this occasion. The screwheads will get to come out and play another day! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Yes, the wintry pearls won today. On another day, I might have gone with the screwheads, but they'll get to come out and play another time! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
I enjoy watching and comparing how my craft brain works compared to you. I totally would have kept one card with the screw heads in the corner and one with the pearls scattered. Delicious fun!!!!
On another day, I might have done that too... and on another another day, I might have gone full screwhead!! It's a moment to moment thing of asking "what works for me right now?" But I agree, it's lovely to hear how others would approach a similar journey... and when people share creations inspired by these videos and tag me in, I'm always thrilled to see where their own creative imaginations have taken different journeys. Thank you so much for your company and lovely comment.
I'm so happy to hear you have been enjoying the creative journey here on the channel, and delighted that it has inspired you to play and explore new techniques. Thank you so much for your company and for this lovely comment, which has made my heart sing.
This was such a joy to watch, almost felt like I was there, (actually answered a question out loud) crafting with you. I have a couple of crackle tags behind me that I put through a stencil, I need to add some color to know where I am going with them. I am very glad I bought the Curator stamp because you have me using them everywhere. I adore your tags today, the crackle, the little houses, the cones, just all of it together. Thank you Alison for being such a wonderful inspiration in my mixed media journey!!
I'm so happy to hear you are getting plenty of use out of the Curator stamps... it's definitely joined my short list of top favourite Tim Holtz sets. How funny that you are answering me as you listen - that made me smile. Very glad you continue to enjoy the creative journey - thank you so much for your company and comments.
@@w0rdsandp1cturesok that made me smile as well. Sometimes I will help the creator too, blow the debris off of the work surface after they have sanded it 🤣🤣🙄🙄. That’s the reality of how immersed we are while creating with you Alison 🤍🤍🤍
Hello Alison! I love how each small detail works together to create a stunning overall finished piece - if you took away any one element it would feel like something was missing. Those little houses are adorable - I don’t remember seeing anything like them in my shopping escapades but then again I haven’t really looked at embellishments in quite some time. Thanks for sharing your creativity and inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
@suebouch4074 Thank you so much, Sue. I don't think they were officially "craft" embellishments... I think they were part of the seasonal decor in a sort of decor home cheapy shop here (Kik - slightly similar to what Woolworths used to be), and that was maybe a couple of Easters ago, I think. Stationery shops, do-it-yourself stores and garden centres can also be treasure troves for non-crafting crafty finds!
Hi Alison, great to see you. Thank you for giving me inspiration today. My brain is a bit stuck as its dull and gloomy outside, here in Portsmouth, UK. I recently heard that the best places to live in the world, are: Czech Republic, Poland and I think it was Bulgaria. Can you speak their language in the Czech Republic? I'd love to go for a holiday there - I've heard its beautiful and clean, and very happy people. I LOVE what you created today, those little houses are gorgeous. Have a great weekend, and take care. xx❤❤😊😊
Oh, I wonder where you heard that?! Not that I'm saying it's not so... I'm lucky with beautiful landscapes, much more joined-up thinking as far as health and transport services go, and a proper community spirit in the small town/village where I live. There are still areas that are in recovery from the Communist occupation, where money is scarce so buildings are in disrepair, but people really invest (time and effort) in their gardens and orchards and smallholdings, so there is a sense of real hard work and commitment on that front. But there are also many many places where the restoration of the buildings to their pre-Communist glory is beautifully done. And some where it's a bit of both from street to street or even from house to house. We do now live in a scary shadow of Russian expansionism... with Trump in the White House, it's probably all over for Ukraine as a sovereign country - they're going to have to give up vast amounts of land in any peace accord, by the look of things. And Putin will keep looking greedily towards the other remnants of the USSR. But overall, I'm very happy I made the move back to where my maternal grandparents were originally from (they fled to the UK in the 1930s from another kind of terror). Though the language is fiendishly difficult. I have good German, decent French, smatterings of Dutch, Italian and various Scandinavian languages, and Czech is by far the hardest I've ever had to work on... it's a work in progress! I also enjoy being about half an hour from the German border, and half an hour from the Austrian border - proper central Europe. So yes, do visit - it is a beautiful place. Prague is great, but there's more than just Prague - I cannot overstate the wonders of Cesky Krumlov, for instance. So happy you enjoyed today's episode and thank you so much for your company and comments.
Hello Alison - I had no idea you were well-spoken (no doubt) in several languages...such a bonus when visiting across the border! I am a German living in the US (moved here because of the wonderful man I married), and so I have a 1st-row seat to all the sickening things that have already started to happen. I am in such dread of the coming years and if 'moving back' was an easy option, we'd be doing it right now. It isn't, and my friends in Berlin have their own reasons to be nervous about, as you have already hinted at. Anyway, your videos, that I found a few short months ago, have given me some happy respite (kleine Fluchten, as we say in German) and I have started using them for inspiration when I sit down to craft. And I better order some of your stamp sets... I cannot tell you what it means to have found your channel. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!@@w0rdsandp1ctures
@claudiahensel2086 Thank you so much for that wonderful comment. I'm so happy that the videos have been offering some moments of peace and delight, and especially that you have found extra inspiration for your own crafting time too. Yes, the world is turning very dark very quickly at the moment, and it seems to be happening almost everywhere you look. Here's wishing us all luck and love and light in 2025.
Very happy you enjoyed it and are inspired to play. These are made of MDF - you can replay and listen again if you miss something, you know - it's right at the beginning! 😉Also they are listed in the description below the video. I have now added a link to the Calico Craft Parts website too, but it won't be of much use to you unless you live in the UK. You don't have to have MDF or wooden ones. As I mention in the video, I also often create on paper/card and mount it on waste cardboard to create a more solid ATC. Hope you'll have fun with your bits and bobs. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Oh, that's nice to know - thank you for your interest. So far, there are only my classes as part of Fodder School 3 last year, but I have plans to offer classes independently - hopefully starting before the end of 2025! I will aim to flag those up here and on Instagram, but if you are signed up to my newsletter, you will be amongst the first to hear when they are available. If you go to my website www.alisonbomber.com and scroll to the foot of any page, you should find a sign-up box for the mailing list. And in the meantime, of course, there are many, many more videos here on the channel to enjoy! Thanks so much for your company on this creative journey.
I look forward to any classes. I am all signed up already for your newsletter. I love your videos and watch them regularly! Thank you for all the time you put into sharing your art with us! ❤
Oh, great - you'll definitely hear about the classes that way. And I'm aiming to get back into regular newsletters this year too, all being well. I slipped out of the habit! Happy Sunday to you.
Thank you so much - that's lovely to hear. This particular tissue is pre-printed (it's listed in the description below the video), but you could also print or stamp your own. Make sure to use waterproof ink though, otherwise the moisture of the glue will make it run. Hope you'll be inspired to have your own few minutes of fun very soon.
Thank you very much - happy you like them. I'm in Central Europe - rural Czech Republic, about an hour from Prague, half an hour from the German border, half an hour from the Austrian border.
Yes, the white pearls were the right thing for me on these on this particular day. The screwheads will get to play another day! Dive into the crackle paste... you'll find joy there, I'm sure! Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Oh, I posted (I thought pressed the button) a comment yesterday. I think it happens to me more often. I write something and forget to press the button. These ATC's are amazing and I really like your choice for the little houses. I never thought these wooden craft pieces could be so beautiful (I threw away some - not houses - in the past). The whole composition reminds me of the Hans and Gretle wooden tiny house that you sometimes show on your b0hem1an IG account.

@@melodine707 I've been looking at artist and architect daylight lamps for quite a while... but it's an investment, and there are so many different options that I always end up getting overwhelmed by the choice. If you're happy with yours, do you mind letting me know what make it is? I'd be interested to know.
@w0rdsandp1ctures I am not an affiliate...just love it. It's worth the price. My little wooden houses arrive today 😍

Absolutly gorgeous!✨💕🏠
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment.
These are absolutely delightful Alison, I love them 😍
So happy that you do - I really had a lovely time with them, as you can probably tell.
Wonderful work, love how your brain works to create this artwork!
Thank you so much for that lovely comment, which put a big smile on my face! Happy you enjoy the meanderings of my creative mind 😃
Lovely choice of colours and a joy to watch as always. Thank you.
Very happy you enjoyed it - thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment.

Ah yes, I've dipped in and saved it to watch later... I do love those hints of red amidst the neutrals - good work on the recommendation!!
Thanks for replying! ♥️
Amazing artwork!♥️👍😍
Thank you very much - happy you enjoyed the episode.
Love love this ❤❤❤😁
Thank you so much - happy you enjoyed it!
I love the way you talk to your embellishments! I use the glass pebbles for dragon eyes, painted on the back with acrylic markers x
@@w0rdsandp1ctures also as lenses for magnifying glasses etc. a really useful bit of kit x
Pearls were a great choice
Yes, that wintry gleam was the right way to go on this occasion. The screwheads will get to come out and play another day! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
So gorgeous!
Thank you very much.
Absolutely beautiful! 🏠 The little houses are perfect!
Oh, thank you so much - I'm really happy you enjoyed it. There's something really good about a tiny house, isn't there?!
MAGNIFIQUE SPLENDIDE AMITIÉ SYLVIE ❤👍👍🐞💖
Merci beaucoup!!
Oh these are awesome!
Thank you very much - happy you like them.
Beautiful, adorable and like the pearl choice at the end,
Yes, the wintry pearls won today. On another day, I might have gone with the screwheads, but they'll get to come out and play another time! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
A really beautiful combination 💚 I like it very much 🍀 Kind regards from Michaela 🕊
Thank you very much for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed it all so much!
Thank you for the past year. You give me much inspiration, and thanks to you I have tried many new techniques. Beautiful make.
I'm so happy to hear you have been enjoying the creative journey here on the channel, and delighted that it has inspired you to play and explore new techniques. Thank you so much for your company and for this lovely comment, which has made my heart sing.
Love these!!
Thanks so much, Kathy!
LOVE it!
Happy to hear that - thanks for taking the time to let me know.
So inspiring!
So happy that you feel inspired - I hope you'll enjoy a few minutes of fun of your own very soon. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
@cherylmacedo5521 Oh, that's hilarious!! Thank you for the help!!!
So incredibly inspiring!! ❤❤❤Thank you!! 🥰
Very happy you're inspired - I hope you'll have your own few minutes of creative fun very soon. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Beautiful
Thank you very much.
Love these! I have many of these supplies
Oh, great... then you are ready to play! Hope you have fun combining them in your very own way. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
💕🤗
Thank you!
I love these, beautiful! Please, what are the "cards" made out of again? I have some bits and bobs for spring ...
Beautiful atcs 50:11
Thank you very much.
Alison, do you have any classes? I would love to take an online class with you! These are so beautiful!
Love this so much! You are so inspiring. Did you print on the tissue paper or did you purchase it printed?
Thank you so much - that's lovely to hear. This particular tissue is pre-printed (it's listed in the description below the video), but you could also print or stamp your own. Make sure to use waterproof ink though, otherwise the moisture of the glue will make it run. Hope you'll be inspired to have your own few minutes of fun very soon.
Those are so wonderful ❤…. Where do you live??? I live in Twin Falls, Idaho 👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much - happy you like them. I'm in Central Europe - rural Czech Republic, about an hour from Prague, half an hour from the German border, half an hour from the Austrian border.
I am glad you went with the white pearls….kept to the Wintery theme🤍🤍🤍 I am beginning to embrace the crackle paste 😊
