I have lived in Turkey for three years. I recently had some allergies and had a runny nose. I blew my nose normally in a restaurant and some people in the tables near me were looking at me like I had slapped a child. I thought maybe they were just weird or still covid paranoid, but I did it again later at a coffee shop, and people got weirded out too. And it wasn't a dramatic thing either. So this is definitely good advice.

This of having to be careful to learn Turkish with others, here in Brazil people do this a lot with foreigners who try to learn Portuguese (I think it's funny (because idiot foreigners love to "play" with Brazilians teaching something wrong too) , but it is something mean that should not be done to anyone).

Be careful about jokes. Because Turkish people don't understand the humor. One joke they don't like and they will cut you off forever. The same is for Greeks. I am not sure which topics can offend, but probably jokes about yourself are safe.
