I saw MBV and Dino on their tour shortly after Loveless came out and my hearing was literally never the same afterwards. I think there were even lawsuits from people with significant hearing loss!
It's just funny that the band playing songs called "blown a wish" and "feed me with your kiss" are louder than all the hyper masculine metal bands like Manowar proclaiming themselves to be the loudest like it's a competition@@Koettnylle
I went to see A Place to Bury Strangers in one of the smallest venues and man it was borderline too much I was in a haze afterwards but I 100% would do it again!
Agreed! When I saw Mogwai play an outdoor gig over here in Australia, one of my fillings felt like it was coming loose from the bass and vibrations. My hearing was messed up for a few days too, excellent show! I've seen Dinosaur several times since 91' and Mogwai were definitely louder in fairness.
Saw 'em both and stood in the front, my ears were ringing for the whole next day after MBV

My roommate fought his way through the crowd up to the stage, I expected to see blood leaking out of his ears.
@@danielmiron7031 closer to the stage was a hair quieter than standing on the sides, at least in the venue I saw them in.
I’m happy that MBV is louder than all of the damn metal bands that always claim to be the loudest.
Why does that make you happy?

I like it loud. Your approach to sound changes, it like when there a loud bang and you dont hear it because your in it.
Melvins were the loudest I've seen.
Mogwai is the loudest I've seen lol
