Hi Mujeer, Yes, that's where the crux is. I believe a student must be aware about the university that he/she is applying for. I am sure you might be an advanced student and know about the school but many students and parents need this info.. Hope you like it bud!!
How can we apply for a prticular program like Phd? By contacting direct with faculty or administration! If administration then how?
Yes for PhD, i advice contacting a faculty member and discussing your research ideas / research interests. Once a professor is interested to work with you on your research, it becomes much easier to get an admission. In some colleges where you can't contact or you can't get a reply, connect with the admission office of the department you are planning to apply. Send them an email stating a brief about you along with a resume mentioning the research interest.

Well it’s an expensive school for sure but depends if you can afford it or not.
How safe is it to stay in Berkeley? Is safety an issue there ? I heard from a few sources that it's full of drug addicts and you could get mugged mid-day ?
Is it true ? Or it's just a hoax ?
The UC Berkeley Campus is relatively safe, but some of the surrounding areas are not.
You need to take precautions while traveling at night, otherwise it is not a big issue. Most of my students tell me they feel safe on campus and it is not a big issue, just need to take basic precautions specially at night, that's it.
How is job opportunities for M.DES in USA ? My daughter wants to do master in design in USA
M.DES is a great course to pursue and many jobs are available in the USA based on your skills and creativity.. It's a great course to pursue.. I am sure it will advance your daughter's career very well..

I am currently pursuing PhD 1st year in department Animal Biology, University of Hyderabad, India. But want to get Admission for PhD in Integrative Biology of UCB.
I have done few trainings & project during my BSc & MSc. Which are related to the Plant Biotech. & Now my current PhD lab deals with developmental Immunology & Have not published any papers till now.

Your profile looks decent. For PhD there are numerous factors and I would advice you to contact professors first before applying. Send your profile and ask if they have a position with them. This will help you a lot in admission.

I didn't get good marks in my 9th 10th and 11th but i scored 80% in 12th is it ideal for UCB or should i drop this uni from my list?

imagine you are living Turkey where 1$=10Turkish Liras. 3600000+ Live=4MTL and the median salary is 4000.
I Totally understand but that is how it works. It is a public school and it's first priority is for American students. You can check out California State Universities for scholarships and low fee along with other state schools.

Great video sir. How competitive is the PG (MS + PhD) program for electrical engineering at UCB ? Can we get thorough with a few research papers published at good journals alongwith extra curricular skills like music, volunteering ? and what are the chances of a student getting a fellowship with all of the above mentioned details ?

A combined MS & PhD is generally more competitive than applying to a Masters degree.. Published papers are always an advantage but you need to get in touch with some professors first to know if they can guide you to your PhD. My experience says apply for a MS degree and then get your way to PhD by contacting and meeting professors on campus. If you are interested to apply for a combined degree, contact some professors to see if they can be your guide. Do this first and once you get positive reply from any professor, it becomes way easier to get admission..

Hi,
For PhD after BTech, you must have a research interest and must contact the university professors to check the availability with them. You must have 3-4 papers and must have a research project in the area of your specialization.
Remember to contact university profs before applying for admissions, this is a good way to know what profs think of your profile.
