People keep putting the turkoman as a very brave horse. I've had it for a while, and it's bucked me a few times, also lost control a few times around predators. Although it's a beast in gun battles has great speed and stamina, it just isn't that brave against predators. The best all around horse I've had in Rdr2 is the dapple gray hungarian halfbred. Never had any issues with that horse and it was beautiful.
I don’t know if that stats are different in the main story mode, but my perlino maxed out at 10 health and 8 stamina. Andalusians are amazing 🤩 especially around predators.
I'm glad the Andalusian is in story mode and online I was playing as john while getting this horse took a while to tame and calm it but really excellent horse 10 stamina and health just like the rose gray Arabian
I buy the Dark Bay from Strawberry Stable early every play through for around $140.00 and by the time i get to Perlino its full bonded. I love the Perlino but the Dark Bay will go just about any place and all day and seems a bit braver too.
top vid went to the cliff and tamed the wild one and he's now level 4 and elevated himself to my best horse and my horses are a fox trotter, Turkoman and Nokota and i had and sold all the arabian's and the brindle thoroughbred none of them match this, this horse stayed calm and i had control when being chased by a cougar, then when i was attacked by 7 wolves he allowed me to take out 4 of them and fire an explosive round at a wolf right at his feet and he didn't buck me till there was only 2 wolves left but the best was last i took out all but 3 o'driscolls at what i assume is there headquarters and the only reason i had to get off because they wouldn't come out the shack
Speed and acceleration is 6 when fully bonded not 5 and when comes to health its 7 before when fully gets bonded. And another thing is stamina is 5 before fully gets bonded which means stamina is 8 when fully bonded. I know because I had Perlino Andalusian more than ones before.

She is level 10, just started 2 days ago. Is it a better choice (perlino andalusian for $330ish) or better get the $250 ish Arabian? horse?
Perlino Andalusian status same with Rose Grey Andalusian and Strawberry Roan Ardennes. Andalusians size it's like large medium size horse just bit bigger than Kentachy Saddler if you compare it. Ardennes and Hungarian Halfbred has better look pure war horse than Andalusians because they are larger. If Red Dead Redemption 2 gets second update I hope this time they add wild Ardennes, wild Missouri Fox Trotter and wild Turkoman so we all gamers can try see if it's better. Well wild Ardennes might have same status with Strawberry Roan Ardennes or Bay Roan Ardennes or status between these two. Wild Turkoman status might be same or less than those on stables and when it comes to wild Missouri Fox Trotter it might be same. If Another Arabian Horse going to be added it should be gray with white spots which is similar colour and spots the Hungarian Halfbred in Valentine Stable but I hope it will have better status than other two added Arabian Horse so can be close to White Arabian or Black Arabian status or maybe close to status of Rose Grey Bay Arabian Horse. We all going to see that if it gets second update and if theses horses gets added.
I have the perlino right now, and I've never had any issues with her, she's for sure my second favorite horse in the game, next to the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang. She's as brave as a Stallion, yet is calm and gentle almost all of the time. The only thing that scares the hell out of her are Cougars, but I don't mind, because not only can I kill them right after I get bucked, but they are basically the only thing that will make her buck me off. As long as I have a horse that will not buck me off against most if not all things, I'm fine. Andalusians in general are about the same as Mustangs: Courageous & Brave. They aren't cowards, so either you don't know how to calm a horse when it needs it, or you just don't feed it enough or too much. A malnourished or overweight horse is never a good horse, so feed it when its health core has depleted at least 25% of the way, and you will most likely get the best from your Horse. Also, unless you got to know the horse until full bonding, don't assume what it's temperament is. Also, about your "Arabian" part, Arabians are polar opposites of Andalusians. They get agitated much easier, and they will buck you off against just about all predators that I can think of. However, they somehow don't buck players off in combat. But in general, Arabians spook way too often and probably aren't loyal to the rider. The only good thing that Arabians offer are their superior stats. I'd rather ride a "Riding" breed than deal with a Horse that spooks at almost everything. Your comment is basically nonsense, Andalusians have much more courage than you think they have, compared to Arabians. If you still hate Andalusians after reading this whole thing, just get a Mustang, or even better, just get a Missouri Fox Trotter, as they have some decent courage. Before you assume I've never ridden and known Arabians before, in fact have ridden them before and along the way learned about their personality, but they just don't fit my style, they spook easy and its extremely easy for them to buck a person off.

Been my only horse for a while. Is great in gun fights but have never found it good for hunting. Once it bucks you amongst some alligators it isn't coming back no matter how much you whistle xD
Its not you. I think its a glitch in the game. I've had it happen where I whistle till I'm blue in the face, yet nothing. Then I can't get onto it no matter what I do. I just reboot the game and its fine again. Try it.
@Gi Gi I have found it very brave on online as well...legendary grizz side by side with the perlino..rubbing against it...no buck...doesnt mean it wont...but is one of the bravest horses in the game

Makes no sense since some horses are brave enough to stand their ground against giant grizzly bears coming in full charge! Someone at rockstar must be a crazy cat lady or something lol
Then why continue to play through instead of loading a previous save? Seriously if you ever play this game again don’t trust the autosave because it’s garbage and will save every few minutes including saving over your #1 manual save spot.Turn it off and manually save every hour or so. Better to lose some progress than lose a rare or expensive horse. I also do this method when the pussy citizens of Saint Denis snitch on me for just bumping them by accident. That way I can kill tons of the snitches and dirty cops but not actually lose any honor or money lol
I got myself the Andalusian for 18 Gold in Online..... It was the worst Horse I've had so far, spooky and shy about everything..... Got so angry over it that i dismissed it after two days.....

For RDO it’s one of the best starting horses along with the top tier mustangs but they’re $500.
