- Many different groups of reptiles ruled during the Triassic, not just the dinosaurs. In the later part of this era lived a slow but powerful herbivore, Placerias.
Today we breakdown one of the stars of Walking with Dinosaurs first episode.

Placerias a cool beast from the Triassic
An endangered species of Old-School Reptile from the Triassic as well.
seeing Placerias afer all these years is like seeing an old friend to me, i missed this guy
I’m Voting For Alamosaurus To Be The Next Dinosaur In The Next Video On UA-cam!!!
The Triassic is super interesting
I love the placerias. Round, slow moving, herbivorous. They must have been a thrill to see so long as one did not enter their safe space. So wonderful to watch not like the killers which would love to tear you appart and eat the pieces.
Wouldn’t be a triassic raptor rex vid without a vanclevea being flung into the air
My time has come (Thanks Bro!!!!)
Dicynodontia would have probably survived for a while longer but might get outcompeted by other megafauna(similar to how stegosaurs got out competed by more efficient fauna)
At least Their cousins (The Ankylosaurs) Thrived During The Creataceous
Please cover Stegosaurus next!👍
of course they'd have kept going. Removing any mass extinction event would render all futures unrecognizable/alter them completely
Saurosuchus is from South America, placerias had postosuchus to worry about.
And Vivaron
@@jaredthehawk3870 what’s Vivarion?
Oh how about a Dilophosaurus video Or maybe Achisaurus
*Certified dicynodont posting*
great video, thanks
can we get smok wawelski next pls
Пусть в следующие видео будет о пареозаврах
how about Pterodactylus?
One major gripe here. You selected the wrong predator. The Prestosuchid Saurosuchus was native to South America and would not have encountered Placerias or Vancleavia. The correct predator would have been either the Rauisuchids Postosuchus or Vivaron the former of which has been confirmed to have frequently preyed on Placerias.
Go far east and see Liso the gigantic version.
Next Creature ????- "The (non) Great American Hippie, and how it's (De) evolved"
Dilophosaur
