It’s a box tortoise..they don’t like water..they forage through the woods eating insects and grasses..they like tomatoes and lettuce!

Brandi, that is possibly a tortoise not a turtle. He is definitely not an aquatic turtle or his legs would be thinner and his feet would be webbed. Be cautious about putting it in deep water because it could drown.

The turtle is a box turtle. They are terrestrial (they live on land) and it is a female. Brown eyes and a flat plastrum are the giveaway. They typically live in a small area and get stressed if removed from that area.
They will love an aviary where they have more room.

Years ago I managed the fish and reptile department of a pet store. I forgot to wash my hands after handling a turtle and developed Ecoli. Make sure your children wash their hands after handling it.

Looks to me like that one female has paired up with Bobby. They look like a match made in heaven I still think Bobby is the most beautiful one though. Personally, I don’t think you should name the other male Ricky ,there must be 1 million other names that would fit better,but of course it’s up to your girls ❤ I really did enjoy today’s video.
He's a little bugger, strutting his stuff walking down the road, loved Tucker all puffed out, the boss Bobby sure is pretty, it's nice you have a clutch of them now, can't wait to see some little ones running around. I've raised some birds, no experience with peacocks. But with a lot of them, getting on the highest perch available, is like asserting their dominance. Or pecking order. It's almost like Bobby is saying, "I'm the boss around here." And the other guy is like," Gotcha."

Bobby was out on a mission, finding a girlfriend. Now that you’ve brought him some new prospects, he should be content. Hope the bonding goes well and you have a whole yard full of pea babies.
Always had a box turtle for a “pet” in the summer, but released to the woods before school started so they could find a place to live before winter set in. They don’t live in water, but like all creatures, need a water source to survive. They live on dry land with lots of vegetation and insects fir food.

I had a red ear slider, and it was a water turtle. I had him in an aquarium with water. The tank was always messy and kinda smelly, even after I'd clean the tank. They are really cool and are fun to watch swim around and bask on a flat rock.
I don't know anything about tortoises other than they live on land, but until now, I see they know how to swim! That was so cool! Awesome video! God bless.😊❤

It's a box turtle, it doesn't like the water they like to lettuce, tomatoes, things like that.
Brandi I could be wrong but after they reach a certain size they are no longer carriers of salmonella, in case that’s what you are thinking. Painted turtles are like that. I used to raise them.

Hello from Texas 77" I think peacocks are so beautiful. When my grandparents had a farm. They wiuld have never thought of having one. Your talking about your turkey being mean. But we gad a goose and he or she hated me. He wiuld wait for me to feed the hogs and it wiuld get me. It would grab my backside and would'nt let go . Then my grandma would bring out her broom and give a good whack. I was the only one it would attack. I tried but there was something about me it didn't like. So we had him for Thanksgiving dinner. But i couldn't eat him. It. Then they coked a turkey. So i know how you feel about you turkey .ove your chanel and videos. Beautiful family God bless you all

The turtle needs it's own habitat lol
They call the purple "lavender". Bob is a standard. The other male is "pied" i'd have called him Peter. Lavender female maybe Pansy since they r often purpled color.
Box turtles dont live in water, they dont swim. What color eyes does turtle have, if red its a male. Female turtles have green or brown eyes
I know you are going to work on a larger pen for them. Bobbie says he liked his freedom better. Good luck with them cause I want to see pea chick's running around.
