Hey, how should I prepare Japanese for the MEXT exam?
And what are the individual cutoffs for each subject, like my English, physics and mathematics are good but I'm weak in chemistry so what'll be the cutoff to get selected?

It does not depend on cut off the selection depends on you application and interview mainly and written exam is a piece of cake compared to jee mains

As you mentioned after coming to Japan you give entrance exam and interview for the specific universities you are aiming for but what will happen if you fail the entrance exams and interview?

Di recently I gave my 12th boards from humanities stream Cbse. And currently I'm preparing for CUET (an entrance test started from last year to get admission in central n govt universities in India). But deep down i too have a great desire to study in Japan. Ik it won't be easy for me as I'm financially not so sound and not such a brilliant student. But i think this MEXT scholarship can be a good opportunity for me.
I'm thinking of giving it too, but can I ask you a question? Um for example i got into one of the universities here in India thru the CUET exam and my parents will only tell me to study here, and personally I would like to study in Delhi University and if i get in there then as a DU student can I still give exam for this MEXT scholarship even if i am in my 2nd year of Undergraduate degree under an Indian University. Bcoz i really want to experience this life too by going to Japan. Please do research n provide information soon. It would be a great help
Yes of Course , You can but have to drop out from your University to Experience Japan Education. It's good if your parents convince by attending DU for only 1 year . I think it helps you out.
Yes you can try MEXT after entering the university I’m not sure about the 2nd year tho if you are under the age criteria then it should be okay

What about the commerce student for UG? We don't know physics or biology or chemistry...what subjects can we take for UG ?
As for the reason why us Indians can't apply for natural science (c) is because generally a very high level of japanese is required to study medicine in japan, even higher than what they teach us in the 1 extra year before we start our undergrad courses. Commonly only japanese people are able to do mbbs in japan, and mostly south koreans can get mext scholarships to do mbbs in japan

You can't do mbbs through MEXT as an Indian since the Japanese government doesn't give scholarships for mbbs in Japan, because the level of Japanese required to do mbbs in Japan is much much higher
@@barakabriton1885 for btech in Japan, Throught MEXT, They will teach Japanese to you for a year before allowing you to apply to any Japanese University, therefore any btech in Japan, through MEXT will be 5 years long

You don’t need to worry about the Japanese exam it doesn’t have much weightage

hello!! i am fy btech mechanical engineering student. it's been around 6 months since i am doing my fy in mumbai. i was looking for aerospace eng branch but my jee score was not enough to get any seat i even took 1 year gap for that but nothing went according to me, so i ended up getting mechanical branch here in mumbai as mentioned above. I want to know that if i apply for btech in engineering in Japan through this scholarship, ( i am not sure that they provide this scholarship for aerospace eng or not.) do i still have a chance for that or not??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP MI WITH THIS!!!!!!!!
Yes you can apply they have the aerospace engineering as well you can check it on the website but the deadline is 29th may you can apply next year as well if you will be under the age criteria or you can wait for a year or two and apply for Master’s as well

MEXT has medical field of study but Indian embassy doesn’t recruit for mbbs you can check that on MEXT’s india website in undergraduate field of study

I am a humanities student currently in grade 12 so suppose I apply for ug programme and I get selected for the entrance exam after the document screening will I have to give the exam of maths, physics etc. even tho i haven't studied it in 11th and 12th? Because on the site the sample papers are only available for English, Maths, Chem, Physics and Bio
You can see the subject list in the guidelines pdf which is available on website and ig Maths is necessary for everyone but the level will be easier for non science streams

Is it possible to study majors like music under MEXT scholarship for undergraduates? There is no major mentioned for arts in the guidelines for undergraduate but some say section Humanaties A number 8(others) is what you should choose for majors like music and visual art. Is this true or you can only study these majors in specialized training course ?
These subject came under specialised courses. You can purse music, animation, manga illustration, etc. through MEXT scholarship under Specialised courses.
Also, one thing I forget to mention. Check if any of the universities that came under MEXT scholarships provide undergraduate in music and visual arts. If they do, you can select others in the form and mention your major to pursue. Check the university of Tokyo.

I have a confusion that on the site it is mention that application for 2024 is closed so if I want to apply for this year did I have to fill the form in 2024 !!
If you want to go in 2024 then you should fill application for 2023 it takes 1 year to complete the process. If you fill the application in 2024 then you will arrive in Japan in 2025
can you please tell me that if we want to apply for MEXT the application period is till end of the may and 12th result is also necessary....but according to indian system we get our 12th result in early june....so do we have to apply next year after completing 12th???......is our 1 year going to be waste????????.......or can i apply after getting my 11th result?, and if i got selected on basis of my 11th marks, then i will go to japan next year after completing my 12th? right?......

If you still don’t have your 12th results then you can apply by your 11th results but if you already got the 12th results then you have to apply with both of them and i think the latest result will matter
