    I have a huge bug 🕷 phobia. I saw a roach in my apartment one time and I started screaming so loud that my neighbor came running into my apartment in his sweatpants and bathrobe. He’s a port authority cop. He thought I was in danger. He caught me on my kitchen counter with a meat mallet. He just looked at me like I was nuts 🥜. He and his wife and I still laugh about it. I now provide free babysittering in exchange for bug 🐜 killing.

      saw a roach one time?..we just moved out of our old apartment but our old apartment was haunted I mean at one point (I think due to first floor filthy neighbor) every night but I mean EVERY night you turn on the bathroom lights there would be a roach and a lot of them were as big as in the video it was a nightmare especially if you were already on the toilet and notice it running around which happened to me like at least 3 times and ever since then I would always be so cautious entering that bathroom but luckily we moved out and I have seen nothing at all so far 🙂

      Wanna be freaked out? I know venomous spiders by appearance. If they don't have the markings I let them crawl on my hand and take them outside when I find them I in my house. EEEEWWWW Ahhhhh! Look up jumping spiders. They're adorable, harmless, and actually have a funny personality.
      Roaches suck, though. Mainly because their ability to reproduce in huge numbers quickly.

From personal experience, my bird has learned to use "Hello" appropriately (he only ever says it when I come downstairs in the morning, or when I come home from work). When he's hungry he will also scream "FOOD!!" endlessly until his bowl is filled lol

    I have a small dog and as soon as she hears me freak out, she comes running to kill those damn things. I remember once she actually chased one by jumping into the tub and then when it flew out to get away from her and it was was heading toward me, she just lept out of there and eventually chased it down and killed it.
    She tends to kill them more viciously if they ever get to close to me or land on me. She takes it personal, lol.
    I was shocked because she can never get into or out of the tub on her own when I bathe her.
    Dogs and people do amazing things when they want to protect a loved one from danger.

      Yami Ruiz one of my cats kills scorpions like a psychopathic surgeon. He kills them, somehow pulls just the stinger off and leaves them filet out, on their bellies, perfectly symmetrical. He does this every single time, for over ten years now. Scorpion claws and legs, fully intact. I have no idea how he does this. He always shows me his kills and walks around them making disgusted faces 😂
      I read that scorpions have a very strong smell, maybe that's why. He won't kill spiders though.. no matter how I ask. He'll swat at them and scoot them around but won't kill them. I've never had a roach in my house, I'm sure he would kill them too though.

    I think Pickles sees the human as much larger and more powerful, so the command to attack a creature that the human fears places Pickles in a quandry.
    Pickles is wondering what abilities the roach must have that the human would fear, and considering the evolutionary pathway that produced parrots - my next guess would be that Pickles is concerned the roach could be venomous.}
    Many creatures assess threat by looking to see what the creatures around them, kin or allies - fear, so if the human is afraid, Pickles is concerned.

    Aww, he's so cute! My chicken takes care of roaches for me, albeit in a less video-friendly way. As soon as she sees one, her little beady eyes practically light up and she snaps it up. If it's small enough, she eats it whole. If not, she thrashes it to bits first. It's kinda terrifying, but also deeply satisfying.

    I rescued an abused cockatoo before. She was turned vicious, within 5 feet she'd lunge at you, all beak and squawking. She broke fingers before. Accidentally bit me, broke mine too. I still got a scar. She bit everyone but me. When I first saw her, she jumped off her cage on to my shoulder. She "flew" but not really, the pervious owner broke her wing. I was terrified, because my sister, who had it after the abusive owner, told me what she does. This fucking bird fell in love with me at first sight, rubbing her head against me and picking at my hair through her beak. She was the meanest bird ever, not to me. My mother accidently cooked with Teflon, and the bird reacted to it. It was winter, my dad tried picking her up to take her outside for fresh air, but he hesitated. It bit the shit out of him. He woke me up, and I got to the bird within its last few breaths. She was screaming. She laid on my lap, looked up at me, said "Good girl?" then died with her eyes open. I cried like a little bitch. I loved that bird more than anything.

    While the video is cute, roaches and palmetto bugs carry an insane number of diseases, such as salmonella, staph, strep, and many viruses. It's really not the best idea to encourage your bird to play with the thing, especially since captive bred birds don't generally have the best immune systems anyway due to inbreeding.
