IVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY BASS CLARINETS IN THE SAME ROOM!! I LOVE IT 🥺 also it would be hard for me to believe it if I was told these are high school students!!
When I was in high school my freshman year we had 6 and sophomore year we had 8 then my junior year we 10 then my senior year we had 12 so yeah my section grew in the for year's I was there
Whyyyy tho at my school bass clarinets have a bad rep cuz of the people who play them but just play tenor sax
Something I struggle with as a director is to get clarinets to push for more sound and air through the horn. This is great!
As a clarinet player this is true😂 especially in marching band but you cant hear us anyways
They're doing great as HS kids, so let's also give a shout out to the instructors at the middle school level who gave them such a wonderful foundation for growth.

There clarinet section is as big as our woodwind section (they have 31 clarinets, we have 10 clarinets, 10 flutes, 1 bass clarinet, 9 altos and 3 tenors so 33 in total

Ok my teacher just posted new music on my her google classroom and it was Starfire Fanfire. So I had to look it up and wow. I love this song already. I have her class on Monday and I am so excited. I was not expecting this to be one of the pieces me and my class plays as 7th graders. But I guess that’s how good we are. I am so excited.

They appear to be the same type of harnesses that saxophones, usually Bari players use. (Source: am a bari player)
Yea, I'm a bass clarinet player and will be starting marching band soon and would like a harness like that, just cant really find where to get them. My local music store doesnt have them so I'm trying to find somewhere else some would be.
Amazon has a ton of options, as do the manufacture websites.

Edit: is someone playing an Alto Clarinet? In the beginning of you look closely one of the bass clarinets looks smaller.
No, he’s playing the bass clarinet part with a Bb clarinet (I know because I’m in this video lol) but I can’t remember why.

No, they are not. Alto Clarinets have a neck that resembles an alto saxophone. None of the players appear to be using one. However, I wish they did because I love alto clarinets.
Denis Carranza you can also have the S necks as well. Granted most do have the neck you’re referring to, that isn’t necessarily a must have.
But, either way, they sound amazing!
