I did it without taking off the mirrors, just aim them to the ground and it gives you enough room for the clips on each side and you’re good. Much easier in my opinion
Absolutely. ZERO reason to take the mirrors off. Point the mirrors all the way down. You can use a pick tool, or even a flathead screwdriver, to get the upper tabs pushed up/down.
I work at a bmw distribution and i install these things. You don’t have to take off the mirror. You can literally grab the factory mirror cap from a corner, pull it and put it a flat screwdriver inside until the rest of the clips pop off.
I followed the video instructions everything went well except my mirrors are stuck in the up/inward position??? Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix otherwise guess I'm on my way to my. dealership, wish me luck.
