Anyone who has eaten my pie crust, is thankful that I discovered Marie Callender's pie crust. lol

As I watched this I found myself wondering why I’ve never made a galette!?! Time to remedy that situation. Looks great! Thank you for the inspiration!❤

I've never had confidence making a pie dough. You make it look so easy. And I could taste that galette over the cyber waves. Yum!

Pie dough is so easy to make. It's basically just flour, water, and fat. You can also add a pinch of salt or a little sugar. Any homemade pie dough tastes better than store bought.

I have a dash pie maker. You’ve given me an idea of another way to make a pie with it

OH….I LOVE a simple little galette! I never thought of using jelly or jam ans filling, and can’t wait to try this! The combinations of fruit and jellies opens a whole world of possibilities! WOW! You just blew my mind! Thank you!

I didn't know the official name for this type of pie, I always called it a "slab pie". I'll have to remember to try jam mixed with my fruit next time I make one! Yum 😋

Me either until I was looking up ways to use my starter and discard. :)

Looks delicious! I know it’s totally unrelated, but thought I’d share something from a long time ago. I had a friend from back in the 1980’s who had a big old dashed car from back then. Probably a 1960’s car. I remember he used to have his mom firm patties of raw hamburger meat and wrap them in foil and then he would press these foil bundles into the exhaust manifold of the engine under the hood before we would go on a long car ride and then when we got wherever we were going he would pull them out and the heat would have cooked them and we would have really good tasting food to eat. I mention it because the idea of the tiny oven reminded me of the small place on the engine that got super hot. We could cook without any oven at all. I don’t think modern cars even have room next to their engines where you could even do anything like that these days.

We used to do that but with burritos wrapped in foil! 😂 Those were the best days back then 🤗

That's cool. I've heard about people doing that. Yeah, modern car engines are very different.
