- This week is all about Llangollen. We moored our Narrowboat floating home in the Llangollen Basin on the Llangollen Canal and we go exploring. Llangollen is absolutely beautiful, full of history, including the horse-drawn boats and the Horseshoe Falls. We walk to the end of the Llangollen canal to the Meter House that controls the flow and levels of the canal. We show the River Dee that runs through the centre of the town and go to the dramatic Horseshoe Falls!

Watching the horse on the tow path pull the narrowboat along the canal really gives an accurate depiction of life in those days.
