    Nobody should pay any tax other than a flat-rate consumption tax on finished consumer products with no deductions, credits, or exemptions for anybody.
    Taxes should only be paid at the end of the productive cycle of capital, which is consumption.
    Thus, only a flat-rate consumption tax on finished consumer products is the fair way to create tax revenue.
    There would be no deductions, credits, or exemptions for anyone; the consumption tax is relative to the ability to spend and consume.
    To implement this would require a Federal constitutional amendment that applies to the federal government and to every state, territory, and possession.

    • @CallowG
      @CallowG 3 дні тому

      A flat tax on consumer goods would not pull anywhere near enough revenue from the poors to even run street lamps and sewage treatment plants. Wealthy people don't eat proportionately more cheerios than poor people, wealthy people spend the same amount on cheerios and bank the rest. A consumption tax is just another scheme to shift the tax burden onto the backs of those least able to afford it. It's not practical, the math doesn't work.

      Medicare for all is not viable. Medicare as it already stands is not financially viable. SS is also not viable as it stands. The US government needs to cut spending dramatically and raise taxes if it wants to steady the ship. Instead it's going to keep blowing insane amounts of money in Israel, Ukraine, and all over the world while spending absurd amounts at home as well. The US government already hit the iceberg IMO. It's over.

      Tariffs work better as a negotiating tactic than as an economic plan. Of course tariffs end up being paid by Americans because they are a form of protectionism. On the other hand, China has gotten very, very wealthy by product and tech dumping in the US and from stealing intellectual property from more free countries, while they protect their own markets from competition from outsiders. That has to stop.

If you don't agree with spending but you had the most power to change that spending. It like ordering food and walking out on the bill. America got bad because to many people did that. They don't wanna pay for good serivce or a good country they just wanna walk out on the bill every single time and blame somthing they probably had more control over then anyone else.

    Some of the happiest countries of the world are the Scandinavian countries and Finland. Commen element is they pay high taxes and get free healthcare and education. The corporation taxes back in the 80s was high over 50% and there was a middle class. The corporation taxes have been cut down to almost single digits. That destroyed the middle class . It turned the middle class into the poor class. To the point they can barely afford groceries, cant afford health insurance and the price of college isnt attainable for most Americans. Prices of house ? No one can afford that.
