    I have been reading all of the comments of which some are highly critical of Nash guitars 🎸. I have. Been playing for 50 years. I obviously have played and owned many what are now vintage guitars throughout my life. I own a Nash tele and a strat and they are some of the best guitars I have played. I don't care what you call them partscasters or whatever. What is important is how they feel and sound. Mine are very light relic so that debate doesn't apply to me. I work at a guitar store that carries Fender Custom shop guitars and have played dozens and get a great discount but I was never blown away by any of them especially at that price. I went out and got the Nash at full retail and saved about 1K for what I consider a better playing guitar. The Truth is the name on the headstock and even the price is irrelevant. What matters is does the guitar inspire you to play.

      I went into a guitar store over the holidays-they were a licensed dealer of Fender, PRS, Suhr, and Nash, but also had some high end Gibsons, Yamahas, etc. I was just doing some research on my next guitar, and played some great models-a Gibson ‘57 reissue Gold Top, a LP Special, a Suhr Telecaster, and a custom shop PRS, just to name a few. Then the sales rep helping me brought over a Nash Jazzmaster. It was a heavy relic finish, which I’m not a fan of, and in a color that I wasn’t crazy about, but I figured I’d try it out anyway. Within 30 seconds I knew it was the nicest guitar I had played all day. The Lollar pickups sounded incredible and the neck was so comfortable and smooth. The weight and balance were perfect. I went home to sleep on it, got up the next morning and immediately drove back to the store and bought it. It’s one of the finest guitars I’ve ever played and maybe the nicest one that I own. I don’t care if it was assembled from parts built by other makers, it just hits the mark, and that’s all that matters.

      @Zacchus since I posted that comment over 2 years ago I have sold the Nash I had and bought 2 other ones which are amazing as well. I have also discovered K Line guitars and have 4 guitars from them . 3 are s type models called Springfield and one is a DC JR P90 guitar. I couldn't recommend them more highly. The strat types are some of the best I have ever played. I also own a Fender CS strat which is great but I would take the K Line over that one. Happy Hunting 😊

    Lemmo, as always, incredible . As for Nash and Lollar , I recently purchased a Micawber Nash guitar from J &E Guitars . Jesse Gago sent me a perfectly set up guitar that has been awesome to play. With a PAF type bucker in the neck , and vintage type single coil in the bridge , very effective tone control , and a 3 way selector that yields 3 distinct variations . It is a heavy relic which feels so comfortable and is hard to put down. All this goodness with a customized case for $ 2399.00 . I have Fender Custom Shop , Gibson Memphis Custom Shop , and PRS . I would take my Whitfill #16 of 50 Billy Gibbons Tejas T and Nash Micawber over any other T- Type guitars . Their build quality and playability are on par with my other 3 guitars.

  • @MisterRorschach90
    @MisterRorschach90 2 роки тому +5

    Nash makes some amazing looking guitars. You can basically get the exact same guitar as a heavy relic custom shop fender for a quarter of the price. If I wasn’t a brand snob I would probably use them exclusively. Their 72 tele tl is just to die for. That Olympic white with mint pickguard is just too good.

    That sounds incredible. Smart of Norm to order these with Duncans. Lollar pickups sound very hi-fi and glassy but lack character and oomph. Duncans may be a "big brand new" and doesn't have the boutique mystique, but a good Duncan pickup always blows me away.

    Absolutely blows my mind that a vintage guitar shop buys Nash guitars that are the worst relics on the market... the necks look painted, looks like the claw end of a hammer was used,the bridge, pickups bunch of other stuff wasn't even touched it looks like and those guitars are a couple thousand dollars... I can make a Squier sound good and play good so that shouldn't be the preface necessarily of a good guitar while this being a relic that is the focus and this guitar in particular to me is terrible as well as the five or six others I've seen in person ! Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Mill any wood because if you did you wouldn't have guitars with bigsby's that have ferrules .. if it's not 90% believable it's not worth it and these guitars are just cosmetic nonsense
    Pretty obvious to everybody else because normally these videos everybody's drooling over the instrument and of course Michaels playing but not in this case it's just Michael's playing and a handful of negative Nash comments
