@@Myksgarage yeah we store a massive (70 lbs) suitcase in the pass through on long trips. It makes for great storage space in a pinch.

The 7 is best voor us. We have 3 kids in de back Seat and a large dog in de back. But sometimes we take our grandparents with us. Also we have more storage compared to the Six Seater. The Six Seater is less practical but way cooler.

This is such an easy answer. If you need 6 seats than go with the six seater and if you have money to burn also go with the 6 or 7 seater because you never know when you might need it.

they really should have a 5 seat x plaid, I just live with myself but I really like the x falcon wing, would appreciate the five seats for one person camp and be able to pit my bike inside

Thanks for this video. I’m considering the model x plaid which is approaching 250k here in Australia. I think I want the 6 seats even though I would almost never use them just because it looks cool and the captains chairs would be way better for the times we are going with a couple. Ahh decisions decisions

6 seat option cannot have middle row captian's fold down or removed ?

Idk if you know or not but I'm going to ask.. does the hatchback area have to come carpeted or can it just be like a hard surface? Or are there liners that you can cover the carpet with? I have a Toyota venza now and the back of mine is hard plastic like a rhino liner or something, which is nice because we have a large dog so you can just wipe out any hair or whatever.. this car is awesome but I don't want to get such an expensive vehicle ruined because of carpet,
It comes carpeted, but you can get a mat for it that will make it a more durable surface

The second row in the 6 seater doesn't fold down so it would be a lot harder to "camp" in it. The 5 seater would be the way to go.
It looks like the second-row seats (5-seater) aren't designed for easy removal. I wonder what's involved with van-izing a Model X.

Yes, it’s been at the Tesla service center 3 times for these doors. They are cool, but don’t always function like they should. I’ll make an update video about that soon!

Can you remove the last row in the 6 and 7 seater versions if you are not using them?
No, they will just fold flat so you have more cargo space
can the 5 seats be converted to 7 seats by order the back seats?

Correct 2nd row can't be folded down, just the 3rd row

Well Tesla just decided for me. Told me no longer making Model X Plaid 7 seat. Had to switch to 6 seat

Such a expensive vehicle, but all that plastic inside. For 100k plus I expect plush expensive materials. Even the seats look so cheap.
Yeah it’s lacking in the luxury plush interior. But once you put the accelerator down and you get pinned to the back of your seat, you forget all about those things 😀

I get the thrill of MSport and top line interior with massaging ventilated chairs that is amazing for long drives plus all the other bells and whistles

We have one in a rear facing car seat and two Great Pyrenees (105 & 110 lbs). Do you they would fit in the back of the 6 seater with those seats folded down? Or one between the middle seats? It looks like there's a lot more cargo space in the 5 seater and I wonder if we would be able to take out those false panels and put beds in there for them? Any thoughts would be great!
The only problem with the 5 seater is there are no air vents in the cargo area, so I would go with either the 6 or 7 seater for that feature alone

before that minivan ever materialize, the cyber truck can be another option since you can fit 6 people in there (but the kids are gonna be fighting more)
@@ChrisZ901 as a driver, I wouldn't want someone sitting right next to me all the time. Also doesn't work for kids since they can't be in the front. The cybertruck isn't great as a family hauler.
@@jonathansage2147 definitely not going to be as great as a real mini van but still miles better than a model X or model Y. I feel like it's gonna do pretty well for family ski trips for a family of 3 to 4.
6 seat Config all day long! Not 7 6 is so the best without that middle seat. Also don’t like the 5 since I have 5 in my family it’s too tight

Not many vehicles fit 11 people
We have a family of five with three kids under 5. We have two six seat Model Xs. I definitely wouldn't go with the five seater if you have more than two kids unless you intend on using the X to haul very large objects without people in the car.
The seven seater makes the third row feel way too cramped for even slightly larger bodies. Having the pass through really changes the experience back there. Unless you have a family of 7, I'd skip that configuration too.

I am considering getting the Model Y or X... I have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, and just found out we are expecting baby #3! In your experience, what car would you recommend? Is the 6 seater big enough to fit 3 carseats?
@@jambaman916 We tried out the Y for an overnight test drive before going for a second Model X. During that test drive, we put car seats and kids in the Y. I don't think it's a good option for 3 kids that are in carseats. I think it would work for 3x 5-12 year olds.
The 6 seat Model X can handle 3x car seats easily as long as at least one of them is not rear facing.

@@jonathansage2147 One other question. Have you had any issues with your Tesla? I keep reading how the falcon doors malfunction after a couple of years, or have you had to change your tires yearly?
ur always showing the camera down. consider shooting and then voice over. really hard to see anything but your finger nails
