Sounds almost like Peter, Paul, and Mary. I really enjoy the peace of this song. I found this song as part of a video done by the Part time explorer. Thank you for such a beautiful song. I will purchase it and add it to my collection of peaceful music.
I always break down crying at the last verse. Yes, yes it's too late for us. We'll never get to ply the seas like that ever again...and I mourn for that.
Gordon is the best interpreter of the NW atlantic and its people. He was Pete Seeger's first mate on the Clearwater, when she was first launched. He's also an extraordinary wood sculptor.
He was my mentor in the mid 60's for exceptional guitar construction, plus his music. What he played then were and still are the most magical instruments in The Real Music. 50 years of lutherie and I may be finally getting it.
This is urgent, I NEED a way to listen to this album. I love it and recently it seems to have been scrubbed almost completely from the internet and I can't even find a physical copy to buy.
We would go to Maine back in the 70's and 80's. Would always have to stop and see Hesper and Little.
Part-Time Explorer brought me here.
I’m glad I’m not alone coming here
yup
Same here
Same... ❤
Same
Now that's real music and real music moves your heart when you hear it.
What a beautiful song with lovely, lovely harmony singing.
Just love listening to this song.
Why was this album scrubbed!!!??? Some of the best shanties on here now lost to history
Not to worry, they're not lost to history. Just to our easy and free access.
