Hey Kev, Taylor (and Wyatt)... been a big fan for a while now and I know the channel is much harder with the baby. I watch very few channels besides yours (Cecilia Blomdahl, Steve Marsh, Leave Everything and Wander (aka LEAW), and a couple of the southwest desert guys: Desert Drifter and Trek Planner). Steve Marsh is awesome because he never stops traveling and he is a machine, literally having videos ready about a month before he posts, often surprising us with two a week. He was the inspiration for a cruise my wife and I took around the UK this summer. Cecilia lives in a very remote part of the world and between her polar night adventures in the dark, hiking or on snowmobiles, fishing boat adventures in the midnight-sun summers, off-grid cabin and out of country vacation trips, crazy wild-life, etc., she keeps things very interesting and very punctual. The desert guys are fascinating because they find ancient Pueblo Indian ruins, hard to locate and difficult to reach in the SW desert, places we'd never find/see without a guide or being able to rock climb. I am hopeful that you guys will figure something out, long term. LEAW are the most similar to you, truck camper people for three years, going from Alaska to Argentina, before moving back to Italy. They also have a baby girl, about 2 and a half now, and they have bought a thousand year old $1 home in Sicily and begun renovations, and also bought an ancient olive grove and begun farming it and producing olive oil. They've struggled a few times to have compelling content, but overall have done a great job of keeping things interesting week after week. They've even had followers visit and help them with the work. I'm rooting for you guys to figure out how to keep this channel a must-watch weekly gig in this time of transition. I hope this is taken in the spirit in which it was intended.
Hey Rick, Thank you so much for this comment it means a lot and you couldn't be more accurate on the status of our channel right now. We have a major update video going live on Tuesday which I can't wait to share with you and our audience. Hopefully next year we will have a LOT more structure in place on the type of videos we create, but we are going to be in that "transition phase" for a few months until things iron out. We have a few open gaps without any content planned and I need to figure out how to make it compelling. To be honest our audience is really diverse, we have the OG, pre-travel folks who are here for the van build content (spoiler alert: no more van builds in the near future) , we have a mix of people who found us during our international travel vlogs and then the van life content of course. It will be interesting to see how this next plan formulates and who will stick around. Again I appreciate the comment and thank you for you rooting for us! Also, I'm just curious what made you find us and stick around? I took a look at all the channels you mentioned and they're all much bigger than us and doing some pretty epic things! I'm going to check out more of a them.
Driving motorcycle into Baja and ytube sent me your video. Great work, so much great informative, we all know how much work it is to put together such a great video. So well done.
Great video, I live in Mexicali but I'm originally from California so my car has American plates and when the cop pulled you over here he was just trying to get money from you, you can travel in any lane. Cops won't usually take you to the PD to pay a fine because it takes too long and they get no money off of it so they'd rather not go and find someone else to take money from. Glad you guys enjoyed your stay here in Mex.
Did a 8 day trip last month to the sea of cortez. Gorgeous. I can't count how many times I've been down there, never any problems. You just hafta be smart.
I missed the FMM office in Mexicali west the first time I went to Baja. I also had to park in town and walk back towards the border to find the office. It took a while, but I found it.
Yep, you can take the family out of Baja, but you can't take Baja out... well, you know how the rest of it goes... 🤣 It's going to be rough... there is only one cure... return to the place where "The Desert Meets The Sea"! 🤣 We are headed back in a few short weeks... ☀ 🌵😎 VIVE BAJA!
Hello,I have been watching your channel for so long now...I love to see your day to day adventures. I feel apart of your life and community even though I only watch you and yours here. Just wanted to say Thank you so very much for sharing your life. God Bless you and yours always ~
Really enjoyed your informative video about van life in Baja. It is great to watch your transition into being parents and most of us remember these moments and what a big change it is! You guys are negotiating it beautifully are your son is a happy peaceful little human. Believe it or not you will get your life back, so enjoy these fleeting moments that are precious. You’re filming and your words made it feel like I was right there with you. Good job and thank you so much for sharing your adventure. I do have a van and plan to go there, but I want to go with a group so I’ll have to make that happen!
Thanks Karin! We’re cherishing every moment and blessed we get to capture these moments on camera. Baja is an amazing place, going with a group definitely helps the first time! But you will love it!!!
That seems like long ago but it’s been only 8 months! It’s hard to believe Wyatt is 18 months already! I can imagine you guys chasing him around the house! 🤣. If your up for it I can bring my van to NJ and you help me with my build. We could have Glen supervise too! That would be awesome!🤣🤣🤣
It's crazy quick the little man can change in 18 months! haha that's exactly what we're doing! Hahahaha I don't know if I got another van build in me at the moment! 🤣
I don’t blame you. You did two builds! After I finish this one I’m done! 🤣 Would also love to see some daily life footage of you guys with little man! 👍
Heading down there for the first time in a few weeks, and found your video very helpful. Right after viewing, we went ahead and purchased a Viair 300P air compressor. Still not sure, however, when to air down. Is it every time you drive onto a beach or anytime the gravel roads are bad? I guess we'll live and learn.
Awesome hope our code still worked! We only aired down when we were going through soft sand or got a little stuck, otherwise you’ll be fine. You can always air down a little bit on the gravel roads for a softer ride as well!
They asked about cigarettes, weapons, and fishing gear. Is basic fishing stuff illegal to bring like a pole and small tackle box? I live in Arizona and want to take my class b to Rocky Point but am a bit of a wimp. I dont want to end up in a Mexican jail over a fishing pole 😅.

Where did you find your hanging rack on your mirror to dry your wet suit?
Do they not allow fishing?
They do just need to buy a permit!
tough with a baby
definitely makes things harder!

You’ll be good, they just ask to make sure you buy a fishing license at the border!
