Thanks mate, appreciate it. Yeah we've done okay on dad's as early as November. Hoping to find the time to have a bit of a campaign thus coming season. Cheers and Tite Lines G 👍 🎣
@marklobbett455 nice one, that's a good fish. Check out the link below. My mate and I along with his son had a great day up there on dad's. While I didn't catch he had a few, one being just shy of 20lb. Maybe see you ip there one day. Take care bud G ua-cam.com/video/bcifvra2Q0Q/v-deo.html

Hello, i am looking into start fishing in the area you was in this video, I am new to fishing and i was just wondering what you need to fish here? Do you need any permission? I am gussing you need a rod license but is there any other requirment
Evening mate, thanks for your comment. Yes, you will need a rod licence, you can purchase a day license via the Post Office Website but if your planning on Fishing a lot it will be fare more cost effective to purchase a years licence, best to do this direct through the government.uk website. You will only need a standard 2 rod licence unless you intend on targeting migratory Salmon and Sea Trout. To fish the Exeter Canal you will need to purchase a day ticket via the Exeter Angling Association. On there you can also view the rules for the canal. If intending to fish for the Pike there are specific rules regarding hook and line types, fish care and net sizing. I would recommend going on their Facebook page and see if there is anyone willing to assist you for an outing to show you the ropes. I have put some links below that will be helpful to you. @@GsTiteLines Thank you very much! I just got a rod today and i am ready to go, i am assuming the day ticket covers you for all of Exeter canal? Thanks for helping!
@tropicallion9662 nice one mate, yes your ticket will cover you for all the canal within the clubs beat. There are tickets also available for other club waters including the River Ex. All the very best of luck with you new endeavour. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on. Tite lines G
@@GsTiteLines Okay awsome, thanks for all the help. I just want to make sure i am doing this right so i don't get in trouble. What clubs do the river ex and the quay also is there any map out there of the beats again thank you so much
@tropicallion9662 no worries mate, happy to help. All managed by Exeter Angling Association. Not sure about a map, you'd need to check their website. Tite Lines G 👍 🎣
You thought that weed was bad then you wouldn’t believe it this year. Seriously no word of a lie it covers the entire surface, big controversy as it’s a private “fishery” people are complaining! Tight lines✌️🤙
What a shame peoe are complaining, what fisheries have got water left are predominantly over run with weed. We've had months of sun and that's the only ingredient it needs. Good to hear from you bud, cheers and Tite Lines G
Cheers for the upload guys. That stretch by the bridge looks productive, but we've never taken anything of size. Our best fell to my son, edge of seating area double locks pub, 23lb. Pic on the Exeter Angling Facebook page. Tight lines
Thanks Rich, was a tough day with all the Reed but I'm sure most of that by now has died back. Wow, that a great fish well done to your lad, was that on the lure or baits? Definitely a productive area by the pub. Thanks again and Tite Lines G 😁 🎣
@@GsTiteLines hi bud, we took it on a midwinter jointed ABU hard plastic. Cast from the kayak platform over to the right side of the pub garden. We were lucky to land it, a fellow angler had tge specimen net!! Picture on the Exeter angling association Facebook page bud. Check it out. We will be fishing same area next Friday as son down from Aberdeen Feel free to tag along bud. Rich

Hi mate, so if you go on the Exetrr Angling Association Web site you can purchase a day ticket, link below. But yes will also need to make sure you have a valid rod licence. I have seen EA bailiffs along there doing licence checks. Cheers and Tite Lines G exeteranglingassociation.co.uk/day-tickets/
Not trying to be a kill joy here but are you using barbed hooks? Only cause it looked rather difficult to get the hook out of the first pikes mouth? Only saying as stated on gov website that barbed hooks are illegal for coarse fishing?!? I live in Exeter and have had a fair few close calls with marshalls checking for barbed hooks and clean catch and release? Love the vids in all other cases bud, keep it up, might see ya one day aha 😂
Evening mate, all my lure hooks, as per the Exeter Angling Association rules are either crushed or barbless. The hook on this particular lure was crushed, but there is always a chance the hook will stick and you have noticed the hook on the this fish was in the hard bone on the roof of its mouth. Not sure where you got the info that barbed hooks are banned? Many managed fisheries have their own rules on what hooks are to be used. You were bloody lucky to see a bailiff! In nearly 40 years of angling, I have only seen them a hand full of times and never had my licence checked. Seen club bailiffs on privetly run Trout and Salmon beats do Permit checks but never from the EA. Thanks for supporting the channel bud and yeah, hope to see own the canal one day. All the best and Tite Lines G exeteranglingassociation.co.uk/carp-pike-anglers-rules/
