Not GM, peoples killed Saab ;) Saab was only try to add some better things but for customers it was too expensive. I mean safety, mechanics/electronic parts etc.
So how does other premium car makes get away with so many expensive and highly equipped models? Saab was always a niche for specific type of customer and even in their last years on the market it was considered as rare car, people always want one of the most overhyped ones - Merc, BMW or Audi. My 9-3 SportCombi NG will be forever one of favourite cars I've ever owned :)
I think the reason people don't know about Saab is so the people that do get to enjoy such hidden gems. A wolf in sheepskin my Saab specialist says to me..

My dad had a Saab 93 aero 2lt 210hp. He wasn't the kind of guy who tuned cars so our saab was stock but even stock it was really fast. Now this.....the V6 model is my dream car,and unlike my father i am the guy that messes up with turbos wastegates etc so....i loved your car my friend 👌👌👌

I love Saab my dad used to have one of the last 93 and it was probably the best car you could possibly have the potential of power this car had I mean a four cylinder with turbo and 180 hp you don’t even have to change hardware to have 3-400 hp just love it

Would love to see you guys do a draggy 60-130 time to show how fast the car really is. Before I got into bmws I had tons of saabs. Had a 2.8 manual and 2.8 auto. The 2.8 auto I did fbo with upgraded 19t full e85. Car was so much fun.
Which did you perfer, the manual or auto? I have a 2.8 auto and I'm kinda thinking of converting to manual cause Idk how much power the automatics can take.
@@_u0nda928 automatic can handle alot of power. I was probably 400whp and 550ftlbs of torque on auto and didn't have any issues. For basic boltons and td04 turbo upgrade the automatic will handle no problem. But when you start installing big turbo kits like these guys are then manual for sure.

The original gearbox is calibrated to withstand up to a certain engine torque, have you made any changes to the gearbox too so that it can withstand up to 500hp?
@@prolificbuilds Yours is xwd and therefore better download the power to the ground, mine is fwd. For example, I know that the automatic gearbox holds more torque than the manual but some have already broken the gearbox at 400hp, have you ever had problems with the gearbox with so many hp?

Cause there is only alowed to add 15% of your stock power. If you want more, you've to do so many test, clarifications and pay a very lot of money. At least so much that it's not worth it. Sad storry. Of course you can do it in the illegal way.. then you can just hope you don't have an accident and the MFK (it's like an mandatory automobil controll every 2 to 3 years) don't get this huuge aircooler and turbo🙃

My ex had an '03 9/3 that her rich daddy bought for her. It never went more than about 3,000 miles without some kind of mechanical issue, we got to know the staff at the dealer quite well. My rusty '94 Corolla outlasted it by 130,000 miles. That Saab was the biggest POS I've ever experienced.
Probably the we never getting taken care of properly or getting fixed right. I have my 04 2.0 for more than 6 years now has almost 300k miles on it and still runs and shift perfectly fine. Any car will last if being serviced properly
@ zbanghy1986 that's not entirely true, otherwise we wouldn't have such an active tuning and 4x4 community in Romania. No idea in what city you live, but in Bucharest and Iasi we pass just fine, even with a small bribe sometimes ;) The romanian automobile registry and the road traffic police might not agree with our modifications when we get stopped, but alas, that's how things are.

I thought the 9-3X was all wheel drive?? Was it really spinning all four tires when boost hit? I saw the torque steering.
the road was a little damp so the car was trying to spin and the tires were pretty bald at the time

Do you get the map on the T8 or do you have a standalone ECU? This thing is incredible!
Stock ecu. the 2.8 v6 uses me.9 ecu. but will be going stand-alone soon
