it's so funny, because Marilyn didn't make music that sound like that. He was heavier and on this record he's the most relaxed and in my opinion he's one of the top 3 he's ever done

    Lyrics
    [Verse 1]
    Smell your blood
It's like a carnival, or state fair
    Skin is cotton candy
So easy to melt in my mouth
    [Refrain]
    I don't wanna know
    Don't need to know
    You got champagne problems
    I don't wanna know
    Don't need to know
    You got champagne problems
    [Verse 2]
I need a raincoat for tomorrow
I need a raincoat for tomorrow
It's about how much people cry
    When you die
It's not about the storm of tears
That you make when you're alive
    [Chorus]
    Half-way and one step forward
Past the point of no return
    Half-way and one step forward
Past the point of no return
    [Verse 3]
Ring all the bells you can ring
    There's a crack in everything
That's how the sunlight gets in
Ring all the bells you can ring
    There's a crack in everything
That's how the sunlight gets in
    [Refrain]
    I don't wanna know
    Don't need to know
    You got champagne problems
    I don't wanna know
    Don't need to know
    You got champagne problems
    [Chorus]

Past the point of no return
    Half-way and one step forward
Past the point of no return
    Half-way and one step forward
Past the point of no return (I don't wanna know)
    [Outro]

Man that is the exact section of the lyrics that I extracted and typed out across a picture of him. This also really is like a strong summary of his entire career. Ringing bells goes back the times when they would put bells next to the graves just in case you were still alive you could ring the bell after being buried. I think he is using that as a metaphor to say that we should let as many people know that we are alive and don't be afraid to state with conviction what you believe in or don't believe in. A crack in everything is that no one really has it all figured out. The more we all admit that the more sunlight will get in.

You're the reason I picked up guitar and bass. You showed me its ok to be myself. You inspired me with your song writing ability. You don't know who I am but you stood by me and I'll stand by you. So I've listened to the entire album and as a true MM fan i know with each album comes a message/mission usually its government or religious based, not this time. The title of the album says it all, this is a long loving love/support letter to his fans, to us. This entire album was him reach out to us know we are afraid, feeling alone, angry and sad at the state of the world. From Paint You with My love, Keep My Head Together, Solve Coagula, Broken Needle and yes of course We are Chaos he's still telling us its alright to be broken, sad and scared but we are not alone and we can get through this together. He had me in tears in Broken Needle and hoping the madness and hate of 2020 will find some peace at some point.
