      You can also take what people say and think about you and use it as fuel. I think that is what Sha'Carri did. To be fair, some of the criticism about her was fair. She needed to dedicate herself to her craft and when she does that she is a force to be reckoned with. I am so happy for her and I''m looking forward to the Summer Olympics.

      No she’s the perfect example of how people will talk smack about you and kick you while your down and pray on your downfall but once you power through their negativity they become Dicc riders. Y’all are so in love with her now the memories are still fresh of how even her own country wrote her off, and I hope, but I know she remembers that. She’s probably toning down her lone wolf persona and not calling the fake love out because she was probably advised to be poised and say less.

      I saw a replay of the start and they all got out of the blocks equally in super slow mo. Her starts are inconsistent, but she nailed it today, which combined with her top end speed was the difference.

    What an AMAZING story for a young girl who has COMPLETELY done a 180 degree turn and is now reaping the rewards of what she has worked so hard for. Yes....Sha'Carri started off on a path that led her to nothing but disappointment with the poor choices she made (and she will ADMIT it) but WOW....can we all just please give this young lady the support she DESERVES for getting it straight and living up to her AMAZING potential!       CONGRATS to SchaCarri-the lane doesn't really matter for the 100m. SFAP has also won a WC title from the outside lane from a field of 8 finalists. There are mistakes that SHERICKA made but congrats to SchCarri for her first WC title.

      It definitely matters. While we won't know if she would have came in 1st or 2nd had she ran in lane 5, the top 2 or 3 runners might have ran an even faster time had that been the case. In my non-professional opinion.

      She qualified easily with the 3rd best time. She just had an usually awful reaction time in the semis, nothing else. The run itself was good. She was always going to be top 2 favorite in the final, so it's not a surprise she won

      Sha'carri came 3rd in the fasted semi.
      She had the 3rd fastest time in all of the semi because 3 of the 4 fastest women where in her semi.
      She has beaten Sharicka this season already easily.
      There is nothing like "winning until". Being ahead at some distance isn't winning.
      Sha'carri ran a time that Sharicka's PB in a negative wind...without leaning and raising her hands.
      The only woman legitimately faster than her is Elaine Thompson.

    I've been very critical of Sha'Carri Richardson but she's proven me horribly wrong. She rose to the occasion with aplomb! What a scintillating performance and definitely galvanizes her position as the favorite for 100m Gold in Paris Olympics next year. She literally won that race over the last 40m...absolutely FANTASTIC!

    What a documentary this would make in a few years time if she wins an Olympics Gold and another World Gold... She has genuinely been through it all, ridden the highs, tanked the lows and made one of the biggest comebacks to silence ALL of her doubters.

    When the talent of hers unleashes, it comes out in SPECTACULAR ways. I respect her personality, which is good for the sport, but she added that tunnel vision focus and been showing great form throughout this season.
