Poor Hurrem. She must be utterly exhausted. This was a woman who bore 5 (historically 6) children to the Ottoman Empire (5 of whom were boys), in a time when one prince to one concubine was the norm. Mahidevran's jealousy from the very beginning would have been even worse once Mehmed was born, and with each birth of another prince, her anxiety and fear for the lives of her children would have been grown and grown. She didn't have the oldest prince, and while her children were young, Mustafa would have been considered the strongest candidate for the thrown if something happened to Suleiman. So to finally have Mustafa out of the way and then lose her youngest, the despair she must have felt to think her last surviving sons were willing to kill each other for the throne is just heartbreaking. @Leo She didn't really have a choice, since she had to fight for the life of her husband and son. Remember, she nearly ended up as Bayezid's concubine instead.
@Leo That's not feasible. Nurbanu wanted her son AND husband to survive, if she allowed Bayezid to win then by Ottoman Law her son and Selim will be executed. She already drew her own destiny and it led to her living a full life and dying as a formal legitimate Valide Sultana during Murad's rule. Staying on Hürrem's side wouldn't have helped her and likely just have delayed the inevitable.
Mehmet was the most suitable as he was talented, kind, and obedient to Sulieman, then Mustafa who was extraordinary, then bayezid who was bold, lastly the disappointing and craven selim.
Out of Hurrem and Suleiman’s sons: most deserving of throne was Mehmed- the kind, smartest, bravest Shehzade and Suleiman’s favorite. Bayazid and Selim were never deserving! Both 🗑🗑 Not mentioning Chihangir as he was not valid for throne because of his condition.
I would like to ask a question. And I clearify that I am asking it as friendly and respectfully as possible. What exactly Hurrem is trying to accomplish here; I mean, things were simple when she had to get rid of Mustafa in order to secure the throne for one of her sons. Now the only contenders for the throne are Selim and Bayazid. Two of Hurrem's sons. And while Hurrem prefers Bayazid, she doesn't move to punish Selim for his actions. Instead she prefers to blame others for them. So, what exactly does Hurrem try to accomplish; Does she thinks that she can pick one of her sons to succeed their father and the other will simply sit by and accept that decision; Or does she think that she can have them rule together as coemperors or something; I once again clearify that I am asking out of real curiosity. By no means to criticize or berate Hurrem sultan. I'll be happily await replies and I thank you all in advance for them 🙂
I see what you are saying and yes true. Rules are rules, but Hurrem is trying to keep her both sons alive. She knows only one will become sultan but she wants the other to live and not stand on brother’s way. I know this is impossible, but she is mother and she is trying everything she can.

With a harem system, with so many sons from so many different women, that's impossible. That's why monogamy in European royals didn't cause nearly the same amount of headaches as the Ottoman harem system did. Yes I know there were issues, Henry the 5th notably, but for the most part inheritance was set in stone. The throne goes to either the firstborn son or the kings brother if he didn't have a son. If there was no son or a brother, then the kings firstborn daughter could rule as Queen Regent until her firstborn son came of age.

@@medixstar9184 no Kosem was then Safiye then Nurbanu
You mean that in a bad way, I guess..
@@ΔέσποιναΓ-μ3ο no I like Nurbanu but not like Kosem and Safiye they were my favourites
@Sultana thats only on the show. Nurbanu killed 4 of Selim's sons
The way Hurichihan treated Nurbanu was horrific. I don’t feel sorry at all for her death; she deserved what she got.
How dare mihrimah?? She's talking to valide sultan, she's a mother she can't pick sides
She is right Selim tried to have Bayezid killed wouldn’t you try and protect your brother?
@@SexhatClhxlhxyoxyl in the cost of the other brother? I would look for ways to solve it without harm.
@@DimSK. impossible but understandable
@@SexhatClhxlhxyoxyl she will get to choose who's gonna be the next sultan when the time comes if alive so she can stop them
@@DimSK. That's right, a good sister would want to solve the clash without bloodshed however the laws of fratricide in the ottoman empire make this really hard. The fact is that although Bayezid isn't really deserving of the throne, Selim actively plots against him and tries to harm him so there's a bigger responsibility to stop him.
I hate the way Hurucihan treats Nurbanu… She’s so unconfident she must recall her status all the time? Omg, this is pathetic.
Reminds you of her mother doesn't she 😅✨
Always pulling rank, you can always tell the ones who have real power apart from those who don't 🤭
I mean nurbanu isn’t like Hurrem. Hurrem was never boastful about things she did to the sultannas nurbanu however was always thinking she was a sultanna bc of one child she needs to be chek ever now and then.
@@nasss._2995 yup. Hurrem always knowing her position as a slave, but Nurbanu doesn't accept it, maybe because she was a noble since born
1:32 👑Fatma Sultana said something right for a change, but she always has some wicked tricks up her sleeve❗❗❗❗❕❕❕❕‼️‼️‼️‼️She L💓💓KS gorgeous, sitting like a Queen; desiring 👑Hurreum Sultana's position and👊💪 power❗❗❗❗❕❕❕❕‼️❕‼️❕
Look how scared gulfem appeared she was afraid of valide sultan
She should be
Apparently, she's the one who is wise enough not to mess with Hurrem.
I'm sorry for Nurbanu. She endured so much.
She got in her room own way
Me too
@Leo She didn't really have a choice, since she had to fight for the life of her husband and son.
Nurbanu surely is beautifully dressed & accesorized👍
I was so sick of Nurbanu ESPECIALLY when she got Hurrem’s ring. I was glad to see Safiye take it.
Why is Bayezid the deserving one? In the series he can't control his anger and makes bad decisions constantly
Lazy writing
because he can actually govern
He was never deserving for me
Mehmet was the most suitable as he was talented, kind, and obedient to Sulieman, then Mustafa who was extraordinary, then bayezid who was bold, lastly the disappointing and craven selim.
Out of Hurrem and Suleiman’s sons:
most deserving of throne was Mehmed- the kind, smartest, bravest Shehzade and Suleiman’s favorite.
Bayazid and Selim were never deserving! Both 🗑🗑
Not mentioning Chihangir as he was not valid for throne because of his condition.
5:50 One cannot not adore her
Nurbanu is always scared of Hurrem when she meet her.
Wrong she just doesn’t like to be bossed around like all the Great sultanas
She was always scared of Hurrem lol. Look at her eyes 🫣
OMG yes hurrem 😎❤️🔥🎉
Huricihan is very beautiful😢
The funny thing is fatma is right about suleiman killing one of hurrem's sons. (he already killed cihangir)
He didn’t killl Chihangiir! He died with illlness! Read history bot.
What show are you watching you🤡🤡 He never killled Jihangirrr. He died with chroonic illlness, he was dying slowly for years! Lmaoo
@@sarahdemir776 That and the death of Mustafa was too much for the poor Prince. He and Mehmed were my favourites!
So, what exactly does Hurrem try to accomplish; Does she thinks that she can pick one of her sons to succeed their father and the other will simply sit by and accept that decision; Or does she think that she can have them rule together as coemperors or something;
I once again clearify that I am asking out of real curiosity. By no means to criticize or berate Hurrem sultan.
I'll be happily await replies and I thank you all in advance for them 🙂
I know your good intent, but prepare for a whole bunch of hate comments because you're questioning the infallible 'Valide Sultan'
@@hussainsultanzada6123 ok. Thanks for the warning my friend 😊🙂
@@hussainsultanzada6123 He's right though. They did make Hurrem dirty.
@@hussainsultanzada6123 No, why? I am Hurrem’s fan and I understand what she is asking. She is very respectful and realistic.
I see what you are saying and yes true. Rules are rules, but Hurrem is trying to keep her both sons alive. She knows only one will become sultan but she wants the other to live and not stand on brother’s way.
I know this is impossible, but she is mother and she is trying everything she can.
hurrems answer is 🔥🔥 to fatma lol
Hurrem does not threaten. She promises
5:55… Epic Haseki Hurrem Sultan…the queen has spoken and heads will roll starting with fatmas husband lol
Nurbanu and Murad ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hurrem is just being over emotional , this was bound to happen.

If this scene acted by Meryem, she'll tell Fatma to prepare her mourning dress, either in anger expression, or with her deadly smile 😆
Meryem didn't act like a queen, Vahide did. That is what makes older Hurrem majestic.
@@eurech yes because when Meryem still joining, Hurrem is not in the position to act like a queen / Valide sultan. Even her children is still a child and not yet go to Sanjak. She's not that old too. But with her balcony pose and her walk, who can compete with her in the whole series? No one.
for some reason i always thought Fatma would support Huricihan and Bayezid due to the fact Huricihan is Hatice's daughter.
Good how does a slave talk to a Sultana from birth like that!!.
8:45 the best and strongest is Sultan Bayezied iii
Don't understand, why did hurrem pick bayezid? Isn't it in order of age? Isn't selim older therefore next in line?
In the show, they dramatized Selim’s alcoholism. It was a huge factor in Hurrems secret preferences.
Even historically she preferred Bayezid,no matter what parents say, they will always have a favorite son and Bayezid was that for Hürrem
What did hurrem expect after what she did
Her sons will live In peace 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She prefer to.blame others fir her sons rivals but not blame herself
Lmaooo shosho bot, what are you blllabbing? Hurrem did nothing. She is greatest mother. Every brother in empire was fighting for throne, you 🤡🤡🤡

Salam to hurum patience she get always trouble with the so many sisters of sultan
Hurichan didn't want to be on Hurrem's bad side.
So much foreshadowing here. Hurrem was so wrong.
It is obvious that Baezed is going to lose. Just look at his women :)
Haseki Hurrem Sultan keep her words to Fatma Sultan but Fatma didnt get it what Hurrem say to her
Professional dancers very good
Fatma sultan ends up being widow all over again😂
Doesn't matter, she didn't get her power from her husband unlike most of the other Sultanas lol.

I just hate this nurbano 😂😂😂
They should have atleast took care of eye color of hurrem sultan....it became, black when she played old character what a miss ...young hurre m had blue eyes..
Older Hürrem has green eyes not black
One woman - One man!!! Is the solution to all problems in Ottoman Empire😂
Hurrem was s wicked woman...and about chosing side why he went against the rules and bore so many children... what she thought after killing Mustafa she would find peace..
didn't Hurrem support Selin in real life?
No, she supported Bayezid alongside Mihrimah and Rüstum Pasha and unlike the series Rüstum Pasha didn't betray Bayezid in real life
The dark-haired women are jealous
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Tv Nurbanu's real gamble was on her son taking the Ottoman throne Not Selim - Selim was simply a stepping stone.
