having just bought a pencil, i am enjoying the posi/posi life. It certainly is a different feel the first couple of turns but i love the ability to pivot the back knee much more easily. Watching old craig kelly videos, it gave me a lot more understanding how he could keep so forward facing through his turns.
Curious if you stayed double positive after this day any more of the season or not 🤔 Missing your content so far this snowboard season and hoping you’re still planning on creating and posting 😁🙏🏻
I have found I keep going more posi, and narrower, and carving just gets easier. For groomers I’m running +30 / +12 with the bindings slammed as narrow as I can get them, 18”, on a 156 Dart +.
Great video Chris! In your opinion, what would be the determining factor on buying either the TF or the Pencil? I'm down to those 2 boards and I can't decide. :) Thanks!
I tried riding positive/positive on my powder board years ago and it just felt weird. I even tried positive/0 and it still felt weird. But I might have to give it another go just to see if makes the rear leg burn feel less so.
One of the main things I've noticed with people who think it feels weird, other than simply being different than what they're used to, is they retain the "square" posture like they had been riding with a duck stance (shoulders more in line from tip to tail). With forward angles, you need to open your body/posture more toward the nose, and then things will start to align. It's most obvious in the rear leg, in my opinion, as that's the main stance difference. Like someone else mentioned, watch a few videos of Craig Kelly for great visuals and inspiration.
i always ride with positive angle (+18/+3), when i was beginner, i've try many angles but I very quickly chose positive angles, my knees thank me 🤣🤣. I never do freestyle in the park, and that doesn't stop me from doing switch. But at the beginning it remains disturbing 😅😂
“Conditions are terrible out here today” Proceeds to feature riding fresh lines and literal snowfall in the video haha. All just in jest here, but funny to see how people’s expectations differ.
Я обладатель такой же ноги и вот что я тебе скажу братан. Не делают таких досок, чтобы не выступал за пределы наш размер. У меня сейчас талия 272 и всеравно выступают). 280 тоже будут торчать слегка на экстремальных углах закантовки
Still got a couple more to ride yet. Had some funny weather come through. Korua Week part II starts again next week hopefully. Also on the menu, cafe racer and transition Finder +, plus more…?
@@snowboard_clips ahhh man. I wish I could. That sounds glorious. Saw some footage and that storm was crazy, you had something similar last year. Anyway Whistler’s gonna catch a break real soon
Little mellower, less quick snap back. I put it down to the tf tail, it’s real stiff and adds quickness to ollies and carving. My tf is a 58. Smoother feel on the pencil
@@ChrisEyres right on. I ride a TF and love the pop, sidecut, float, lol everything abt it. It’s a 57 from last year and the width takes some work for me. But I love it. Thanks for the korua reviews. I definitely am considering adding another shape soon.

Inspired me to go watch some Craig Kelly videos

I have a burton blossom 22’ and planning on changing to +18 & +9, with curving angles, do you think it’s still good enough for jumps?
I don’t think you can go wrong with this brand I have a jones ultra mind expander 158 I think this in the 64 would be perfect ❤
I was just adjusting my stance. +36/+27 and narrowed up my stance to 19". Great for carving, powder and general mountain snow surfing.
Looks like you were havin a blast out there. I especially enjoyed the little nose slide. lol
Thanks Ling Yao, I can imagine how fun that board would be riding in fresh snow on a sunny day!
@@ChrisEyres I'm sure you'll get the chance at some point. Keep shreddin the hills in the meantime my friend!
Bro I'm thinking about buying this one, for reference what is your height and weight?
Nice!
I have same 164, but split. It's a blast for big mountains!
I bet they’re pretty good in touring mode too

Put a Vole strap around your front highback and boot cuff if you want to push backside turns.

I was a similar story. If it’s been a while I’d say try it again. Get a nice asymmetrical board, I think that made a noticeable difference for me.

may you never find your perfect shape.
I remember you reading that out in the mid-station gondola line when we were riding with your cousin - how time flies!

Still getting used to switch with double positive but really liking the overall feel. Would love to get it out on a nice mellow powder day

I expect Tahoe levels of powder every day, no exceptions
im wondering should i buy the biggest one but i dont want my toes or heels hanging, my size is 45eu ?
Yeah that’s pretty big shoe size I would recommend the bigger board but also depends on your weight

u need more weight on your front foot when carving on the slope.
No dart? Do a “which Korua episode “ with Andreas?

@@ChrisEyres come join Kevin in Tahoe. We had 5 feet + during last storm since Friday.

So did you like the double posi life?
Definitely, had a couple days rocking it since. Even had it going on my Jones Storm Chaser on a nice powder day, was impressed
How does the camber compare to the tranny finder?

Dang dude! Are you demoing these boards and you just rich now?! Lol
Oh yeah k, it’s sweet. I know the rep and he is happy for me to ride as many as possible. Thx Korua!
