I just bought this 2002 Prius with 241K miles from the original owner with all Toyota service records. There are dents and dings but let me tell you.....For ONLY $1200, I'm getting a car that is STILL GETTING 42 MPG average even after 2000 miles of driving it since bought a month ago. The undercarriage is super clean, under the hood is bone dry, alignment is straight as an arrow, it's SIMPLY AMAZING!! The ONLY complaint is that when I slow down, the AC will also slow down on it's cooling. There also isn't bluetooth but you can just have a bluetooth stereo installed for $250. This car is FKKKN AMAZING!!
For your AC issue, you should consider getting the AC recharged. Make sure the shop that does it vacuums the whole system down and then charges it by weight, since the Prius AC system has a "cold-storage" evaporator core that is designed to keep cooling when the engine shuts off at a stop. It is very sensitive to being under-filled, and even if it is a bit low, it will cool great at speed but warm up quickly once the engine stops at a stop sign or stop light. When you say "the AC gets warm" do you know if the engine is running when that happens?
@@aspecreviews omg, thanks soOoooOOOOoo very much for this extremely insightful information and advice!! As far as the AC, when I do get to a stop sign, the AC does get warmer but once the green light comes and I start accelerating, the AC gets cold again. Man, I really appreciate this info! You rock!!!
@@charliecarter1878 when the engine shuts off, the AC should stay cold for about 30-45 seconds and then slowly start getting warmer. Once the engine starts again (which it should do automatically if you're stopped for long enough) the air should cool down again. You can use the MAX button if you want the engine to run all the time to run the compressor. This should make the air VERY cold but I never use this feature on my '02. The refrigerant fill amount for the 02 Prius is between 1 and 1.25 lbs.
@@aspecreviews you’re absolutely correct about your description about what’s happening here. I didn’t even know about the Max button until you just mentioned it lolol. Damn, this is amazing bro! Thanks so much, this makes me feel way better knowing that it’s a solvable thing. Thanks my dude!!!!
Экономичная, хорошая машина...!!!
Absolutely
