When there are noticeable noises from the wind, the subtitles on my screen sometimes say "[Applause]" and i think it is very lovely to be applauded by the wind.

Rosie, You should be monthly building birdhouses. If you build one or 2 a month by the end of the year your woods and land will be full of birds which will benefit your garden and land and become a wonderful source of joy for you birdwatching. This is what you do with your tiny and small pieces. A great winter project also. I look forward to seeing your progress. Happy building and progress and lots of Joy!

Hi Rosie. Long term fan here. A tip if you don't know already :) Many old nordic apple sorts can be stored for sometimes month and months if spread out on paper in a cold room. They cannot touch. Taste will keep developing very nicely. My grandma used to do this. Love from Denmark.

As for the left over scrap wood. Many years ago my son was introduced to 'whittling' by his Grandfather [lots of YT tutorials]. He started off with wooden spoons and now we have little mice birds, vines, flowers and bugs adorning the wood frames and supports of the porch bed frames and the stair rail etc, treated or untreated wood is good for this. They are not perfect, you can buy the perfect one's machine made but to me everyone of them tells a story because my [now adult] son and his Grandad [long gone now] spent long winter days making them and telling stories as they did so. It also greatly adds to the aesthetics of functional mundane wooden items.

What I find most amusing about you and your video's, is how you often proceed from one random project to another, because you feel like it. And I think that's amazing, because i believe that truly is what keeps you going so steadily. You focus on what your mind wants to do instead of plowing through one thing continuously. Progress might feel slow at times because of that, but before you know it, you manage to finish one thing after another for a massive feeling of accomplishment.
And Rosie, what you accomplish is so very admirable. I wish one day I can find my way to do a similar thing. I'm usually a lurker and silent viewer, but I've been here since the release of your very first Story video, and watched everything ever since. It's kind of like living a dream life through someone else. So thank you Rosie, and I wish you the very best with everything that comes your way! Greetings from the Netherlands. Upfront it depends on what you make, and assuming not small items trinkets like jewelry boxes or cutting boards, pieces smaller then elbow to finger tips probably best for firewood (species depending). But agreed it is always the mental argument “I can definitely use this somewhere”.

It is nice that you chose green!
In contrast to the iconic "Falu red" of the outer walls, the traditional shade of green used for Swedish cottage doors and widows is a deep, muted tone, often reminiscent of forest or moss green. I prefer a darker shade, but that is a matter of choice, of course.
Red and green are considered complementary colors because they are opposite each other on the color wheel. When placed next to each other, they create a vibrant contrast, making both colors appear more intense. This relationship is often used in design, art, and fashion to create visual interest and balance. Complementary colors, like red and green, can also neutralize each other when mixed in equal proportions, resulting in a more muted or brownish color. This concept is rooted in color theory and plays a key role in how we perceive color harmony.
This earthy color harmonizes beautifully with the natural surroundings of Sweden’s rural landscapes. It is not a bright or vibrant hue, but rather a subdued, timeless shade that complements the rustic, natural aesthetic of Swedish cottages. This particular green has been a beloved choice for centuries and continues to adorn cottages across Sweden today.

I admire your tenacity and talent so much! I make UA-cam videos in a similar spirit as you about my life in the remote west and am renovating my tiny home. You do such a beautiful job capturing your journey and I'm always so impressed with how much you seem to get done every week (along with filming and editing everything!) I laughed when you were talking about how tricky that box was turning out to be - i feel like every project seems to be like that for me :) I seriously wish I could sit down with you over a cup of coffee to talk about all the things! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Sending love from my corner of the world to yours 🧡

I just love watching your videos, they are so calming. The way that you use everything that you can, and how you pay such attention to detail. It reminds me of doing outdoor work with my dad when I was small. Wonderful memories.

It all looks soOOOooo CUTE Rosie! It MUST feel good to have accomplished all that you have done. You can continually look outside your windows and smile as you sip a lovely tea. Your galette looked DEE-LISH! Isn't it a blessing to have all manner of projects done and yet to do, fruit to enjoy, 3D printer to play with...never stop counting your blessings my dear...for they are abundant! Thanks for sharing...health an' blessings. I really think you would enjoy tackling the attic space! :)

In Greenland we do not normally have trees (accept the project they started in South Greenland). We save all the woods for repairs or future small projects.

Perhaps you could store some of the pressure treated wood under the bench on your deck for this winter? Or maybe even under the deck itself? Thanks for another lovely video. I especially enjoyed the shot of the wind in the tall evergreen trees. Your work is so very creative, not only the building projects, but also the filming and editing of the work you are doing. It's very calming and soothing and I look forward to each new episode.

Dear Rosie, soon there will be snow and the roads will be covered with ice, so you might want to change the tires on your bike to studded ones so you could ride your bike to get groceries in winter too. Here in Norway, many people cycle all year round. Greetings from Norway!❤

Hi Rosie, I came across your channel a couple months ago. Today I have finally caught up with all your videos. It has been a breath of fresh air watching your progress on your cabin. No I should say home sweet home. Also to see yourself come out of your shell, I have had many a chuckle to myself with your hummer. You are going to be a inspiration to young woman. I cant wait for the next page in your journey.
