When I as a child of about seven years in the late 1960s my father used to play the Grundig spool tape recorder with Sunil Shantha songs most evenings. They are so etched in my memory that whilst listening to this deep and uniquely calm and serenading voice, so similar to SS I was humming all the lyrics which instantly came back to me , and the memory of me sitting beside one single large teak speaker cabinet soaking up mesmerizing voice of SS. OMG!!! All this time I thought they were singing LIVE!!! a BIG NO!!!!!!!!!!! They are NOT singing live... They act like that with mics and headphones ... look at Ivo Denis' mouth movement at 2.07... Oh... I love this program, but now a bit disappointed
I think its only Mr. Denis that's lip syncing. Maybe due to some reason he might have had some difficulty in signing live to a fairly newer arrangement of his song.
Upek Wijerathne all of them sang live at ' olu pipila concert ' two years back at BMICH. it was the same version but percussion was more and the choir was so strong and loud at the theater. I hope there is a recording available at rupavahini since they were the official sponsor channel.
