Thanks so much . I am a total beginner, still grasping the idea of tones and how to apply the right pressure to get the shades in place... Hope to learn more from you Sir.
+Kristen P I try to make the videos as easy to follow as possible as we all have to start somewhere. Good luck with your drawing. You can see more of my videos at ua-cam.com/users/paulpriestleyart Cheers Paul

Remember when you came to our school on art day called WTA(West Thurrock Academy) you taught our school to draw that.good job. I think it was Henri mattise and William turner. :D
Hi Paul, I really like the style of your videos and your easiness to explain it. The sunset is great, I´m wondering if the same is possible with a night/moon setting? I´m just missing some imagination how to realize that.
+HarryK you would get the same effect worth the moon sitting where the sun is. The reflection soul be the same bit not as strong and the sky, clouds would be much darker. Cheers Paul
Yes, let's. We could start with spelling. I assume this baret you refer to, is actually a beret, Slaps forehead, such basic spelling error for an adult to make. Never mind, have you heard the phrase, 'tongue in cheek'? Walks away muttering about the subtlety of British humour.
@@PaulPriestleyart - The hat is as obsolete as the name itself. Almost as tongue-in-cheek as your curiously incomplete sunsets. Have you thought about donning a pair of Micky Mouse ears?
@@ArtHistorySchool - I am a political cartoonist on deadline about to do a parody of a Christian ascension painting so as to lampoon the Pope’s World Apology Tour. I needed ideas on how to draw these cloud formations in a realistic manner. I decided your offerings did even not rise to the level of a cartoon. Now go away before I taunt you a 3rd time! I don’t want to talk to you, silly English animal food trough waterer! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
PAUL, Apologies! My 19 year old son and his friend took my unattended, logged in tablet and began their mayhem. It was all a rather a disrespectful act of aggression towards me, which might get worse (I have yet to stop receiving hostile messages). My son, who is in every other way rather intelligent, has now been asked to leave. He joined us here during his summer break from University at our summer rental here in Cape Cod. Again, both you and I have been the victims of a hack, only this no good hack happens to be my hooligan son. He will either end up the CEO of a very prestigious corporation or in jail. He apologized to me and his mother before he left…which was, indeed a first. Again, my sincere apology for my stupidity and his. I should always logout anyway!
Because of your simple but clear demonstration on drawing, I am now confident that I can draw anything. Thank you.

Why you drew a demon on top of the clouds?🤔🤔🤔🤔
lia queiroz Demons are a figment of your imagination, they only exist in Hollywood films, this is simply a drawing
I can't see what youre drawing.
Sorry about that.
How about sunrise? 😂
It is a drawing of a sunrise and a sunset because essentially, they are the same thing.
Can we talk about your baret? Is this your idea of being an artist? REALLY? Cliches? Slaps forehead, shakes head...walks away!
